Fahnbulleh is such a wildcard competitor. He always starts badly and closes like a freight train. If you told me he didn't even make the semis at the Olympics, I wouldn't be stunned. If you told me he snuck in a bronze medal, I wouldn't be stunned either. That his relay splits are good is no surprise because a relay start somewhat mitigates his slow build-up to his drive phase.

His name in fact is Letsile , not Lesley.
      He is from Botswana.
South Africa, where I am from, are there neighbours.
Phonetically his name would be pronounced as follows (as close as I can get); Let-cee-lê.
Alternatively an easier pronunciation, for those unfamiliar with how to pronounce ‘lê’ would be ‘lei’.
In other words , Let-cee-lei. Not strictly correct but a commendable effort.
Trust the above is of help.
We are truly blessed with a phenomenal group of track and field athletes going into this year’s Olympic Games and beyond.
Expect that we are going to be privileged to watch some epic encounters and achievements at this year’s Games.

Hi TRP, the new athletes are awesome.
Can I ask you to consider doing a history of decathlon?
As a Czech kid, I remember watching Tomáš Dvořák, who had a WR (per google) just 6 points away from 9k points, and still the only one to exceed 8900 points 3 times, and his somewhat younger contemporary Roman Šebrle, who became at his time even more prominent as a decathlete for some time, and who was the first to break 9k, by doing 9026 points.
He also has the third best point total from individual PR performances behind Mike Smith and Dan O´Brien.
Aston Eaton later beat his competition score, and became the most decorated decathlete of all time, and Ashton´s score was later eclipsed by Kévin Mayer, which stands as the current WR record at 9126 points, a whole 100points better than Šebrle´s mark, and 81 points better than Eaton´s.

If JF could improve his start even a little and get to top speed sooner, I really think he has the capability to get a world record in the 200 and maybe even the 100. He is SO fast for someone so sluggish off the line.
His legs look like they’re moving slow compared to everyone else but the amount of force he exerts with every stride is what makes him cover so much ground so quickly.
He has a lot of room for improvement which makes his potential really promising.

Fahnbulleh has long suffered from a bad start and slow drive phase but once he gets motoring he just keep accelerating, iv seen quite a few races now thanks to TRP and in every single race i can remember he has still been closing and accelerating at the end of the 200m when almost everyone else is hanging on or fading, id like to see him in a 300m race where he would have plenty of time to push his top end speed and the strength he has to keep it going, we have all seen the difference to Lyles starts over the last year so if Fahnbulleh could get with a similar coach to work on those 2 problem areas he could give Lyles and Tebogo a run for their money imo

Hey, guys whats your thought on this ??
...World Run Championship, which would showcase the global talent and excitement of running as a sport.
Similar to the Cricket World Cup and the FIFA World Cup for football, the World Run Championship would bring together nations from around the world to compete in various running events. This event aims to elevate the profile of running and provide a platform for athletes to showcase their skills on an international stage.
Here are some key details and comparisons to existing sporting events:
Format: The World Run Championship would feature a variety of running events, including sprints (100m, 200m), middle-distance (400m, 800m), long-distance (1 mile, 3k, 5k, 10k), and marathons. The competition would be structured similarly to existing World Cups, with group stages followed by knockout rounds leading to the final.
Global Participation: Like the Cricket and Football World Cups, the World Run Championship would be open to all nations, providing an opportunity for athletes from every corner of the globe to compete against each other.
Grand Opening Event: The World Run Championship could kick off with a marathon involving all participating countries, serving as a grand opening event to symbolize unity and the spirit of competition.
Broadcasting and Spectatorship: The event would be broadcasted globally, allowing fans from around the world to follow the action. Stadiums hosting the competitions would draw crowds of spectators, creating an electrifying atmosphere akin to other major sporting events.
Promotion of Running: By establishing the World Run Championship, we aim to promote the sport of running and inspire participation at all levels, from grassroots to elite athletes. The event would encourage a healthy and active lifestyle and serve as a platform for aspiring runners to pursue their passion.
I believe that the World Run Championship has the potential to become a flagship event in the world of sports, attracting widespread attention and excitement.

Fahnbulleh is a hit and miss, he has his days where performs and then not so much on others. Idky, but to me his form looks as if he's going to trip and fall at any second.

Fahnbulleh is a nowhere man. Doesn’t beat any of the big boys. Always in the race making up the numbers. Fair enough he closes well sometimes but he is not in the elite top competitors for either 100m or 200m. I wouldn’t be surprised if his career ends without him making any serious or consistent global medal winning statements. A good runner for sure, but not a global champion.

For political reasons we all ought to support Liberian Athletics.
Given the history of that nation and it's recent civil war any thing that brings her into union with the rest of the African nations and world nations must be recognized.
Because heros of sport tend to have international experience, be in good health though out long life times, and polylenguistic that can govern democratic nations, and play a roles in national development and national maintaince.
I owe much to the Liberian nation. If you feel you have an equal debit please follow and support them.
Lastly, for most of its time of self regional governance Jamaican was a tropical hell hole. The emergance of Jamaican Athletics to world prominence brought, peace, tourism, and a sense of pride and solidarity to the island. Just a few athletes started big changes.
So, an emotional investment in sport always pays off for us all. There is no place on God's Green Earth that we should fear to travel to. An open free Liberian nation is a blessing to us all.
    Bravo Joseph❤❤❤
