This AG build is OP in 3.23 with Animate Guardian of Smiting with the relatively new Volatility gem and the new spectres, Perfect Spirit of Fortune, which provides all lightning damage is lucky and free wrath aura. Scaling minion life is an interesting way to scale damage and improve the AG's survivability.
Thanks for sharing. But according to wiki, Ephemeral edge no longer scales off of a Minion's Maximum Energy Shield. So we cannot use ee sadly.

I love this build, it looks so interesting. I have a suggestion, I know you are trying to just min-max the AG so you might not like this idea but:
Have you considered using Chains of Command to make this a better all around build? You would lose some dps on the AG, but the 14 weapons and free melee splash from Chains of Command would make it a good all around build. You change Fleshcrafter out for Chains of Command (losing the ES convert based on chaos res, and the ignore elemental resistances.. but you can make this up by running a double curse, one on the AG, one from you.. then you can stack more chaos res without having to worry about the AG dieing). Also, there is a crucible mod for 2h weapons that says "Minions gain 40% of maximum life as extra maximum energy shield" (it's 20% for 1h weapons), this could help make up for some of the loss of ES from dropping fleshcrafter. Then, on your AG, you can give it Ghostwrithe instead of Geoffri's (for the 50% life to ES, losing Zealot's Oath).
TL;DR - Hopefully I explained that well enough for it to make sense, but basically swap fleshcrafter for chains of command, on the AG swap Geoffri's for Ghostwrithe, then get the crucible mod for max life gained as extra max ES for minions.
You could also work in a couple writhing jars and rework the tree to support flask sustain for them.. might be decent. I might give it a try if I have time before this league ends.. but let me know what you think of these ideas!
I liked your idea. Chains of Command build has lots of good points as you described, ez 7-link, elemental pen from curses like that. Thanks to the Xoph helmet, Animated Weapons will deal great damage. I think your build is also viable.

just what i was thinking. scaling max life is still good and i can use sentinel of radiance now as well bc it doesnt lose hp like with the other armor. also sentinel makes u more tonk and also hits hard on his own and makes leveling ez.
i imported this bd into pob and swapped to chains of command. The dps went almost 3 times higher 😮 but IDK why the animated weapon still has so many energy shield after I drop fleshcrafter.

Pob에 기동이가 낀 item set 추가하시면 configuration에 animated guardian의 장비를 그 Item set로 설정하실 수 있어요. 파괴의 연결은 방패 시련 트리 5번째 노드 '연결 스킬을 기동된 수호자에 연결할 수 있음' 트리를 사용해서 연결해서 해골에 연결되지 않게 했어요. 화이팅이에요!

The build is impressive but I don't understand how you have converted the chaos resistance to negative in your ag, I ask you about the conversion that the fleshcrafter does.
Fleshcrafter converts minion's life to minion's ES. The amount of the conversion is twice of the minion's chaos res. My AG's choas res is 47%, so 94% of AG's life is converted to ES.

Da ge, about 30% of the damage will be lost. My concern is that without crucible tree, you loses lots of QoL; link only to AG and AG's phasing.
Very cool, could there be a more tanky variant somehow as pathfinder I wonder ? using ceinture of benevolence belt for example given you're linking often your AG.
I considered Pathfinder, too! Because the most of damages are from the AG's gears and mine, you can choose tankier ascendancy than Necromancer.
The belt will be also good. You can give AG more fire resistance, attack speed (suffix), phasing, or ES leech (suffix). But your character will lose the bonus from the flasks.
@@Snyo I read this new belt applies to link and also you but haven't tested, I'm gonna level a character and experiment and tell you if it works as best case or not at all :D
Just in case I tested and the belt works as intended even when automating flasks it applies to both of you and AG :D

Sorry for the Question if Dumb, But Melding, is only there to capitalize on Fire REsist to cap all others? It dont benefit on Ag right ?
Thanks for your question! The reason I choose fire is that I'm using Purity of Fire to increase AG's fire res. This aura gives me 7% max fire res so that I can easily max out the fire res.
And Melding doesn't benefit on AG like you said.
How hard is it to chance the weapon?
It costs about 1k chances. I feel lucky, but at the same time, the rarity seems not that high so the chancing is easier than other uniques.
Is it still playable without crucible nodes next league?
It could, but the damage will be lowered. The crucible node on the Ephemeral Edge takes big portion of the damage. The biggest problem is that the crucible link node (link only to AG in depth 5) will be replaced with the link mastery in the minion defense mastery, which causes you link to skeletons. And those skeletons are easy to die.

Cool stuff. Have you verified that the gloves implicit works? I don't think the AG uses strike skills. If you use Multistrike and/or Splash it might appear to be working while it's not. Plenty of other stuff you could put in the gloves slot if not.
I've tested it if it works for AG, and.. it seems working.

@@Snyo But isn't that like 3+ targets dying at once? That can't possibly be solely from the gloves, as those only add +1 target per attack. Did you take Multistrike out for the test?
In the grand scheme of things it shouldn't matter too much, since you can use other stuff to improve clear. Knowing whether it works might allow you to use other gloves that bring other benefits though.

Then, maybe I could use intimidate on hit, rage, or attack speed instead of additional target.
I tested it with Meginord's Vise and Animate Guardian, and it may be treated as a Strike skill, since the knockback was generated by a normal attack.
The effect of Meginord's Vise is as follows
Melee Strike Skills deal Splash Damage to surrounding targets
(150-200)% increased Armour
100% increased Knockback Distance
Melee Hits with Strike Skills always Knockback

@@user-ni1ey8zu7v Thanks for testing, that's quite useful to know! A bit surprising though, since usually the safer rule of thumb is that if one doubts whether something actually works on AG, it won't. (Triggers, allocated passives, etc.)
how does the animate guardian survive chaos damage, i guess it bypasses the energy shield? just crazy regen?
Fleshcrafter(body armour) prevents chaos damage bypass minion's ES.

Yes. The beam debuff is not applied to minion so that AG can sustain regen.
how much this build cost ?
About 15~20 div. But I spent lots of time merging crucible tree.

@@khoihuynhanh3187 Yes. It's fossil crafted. Fractured base was cheap. I tried maybe 6 or 7 prime chaotic resonators to get +2, and luckily annulled to make open prefix.

@@thedifference3424 The mapping speed is slow ~ average. I do gem swap for mapping and it works okay in narrow maps. I'll show you a video of full mapping later. Still, it works better in bossing than mapping.
My AG died to reflect damage
I recommend to use lv 5 Awakened elem attack support to prevent reflected damage. The damages are based on its ES, it will die easily to the reflected damage.
