I like this more than the original. This song is absolutely stunning. Just beautiful and genius at the same time. I love how the background vocals mimic the lead vocals like a mockingjay in The Hunger Games Books. The symbolism is just brilliant.
Don't forget that at first, the mockingjays fell silent to hear him sing, because his voice is just so awesome.

If I may comment, it feels like a silent war here in North America and this song is very much on my mind. Health workers overwhelmed by latest pandemic wave, essential workers that still have to go into work. Here in Ontario we lobbied si workers can get enough paid sick days for workers to isolate but we only got 3 (not enough to be sure workers are free from virus). Peel and Toronto are hurting so much. And India & Brazil is just tearing apart from the virus.

I would sing this to my best friend who had an abusive mother, sister that took advantage of her, and a drunk dad. I learned to sing just so I could sing her this to help her out. She still couldn't take it though and she ended it at the age of 12. I still visit her grave and sing this hoping wherever she is she can hear me,it's been years and I wish I could have done more.

It sounds so different with the vocals this...crisp and clear, I guess is the best way to describe it? Its sung so softly yet I can hear every inflection and pronunciation where the original and even the most professional of covers blend the singing with the instrumentals to the point words dont feel like they have an end. Its soothing in it's own right but this is...it sounds totally different just by NOT doing that, and I'm kind of in LOVE with it!
