As a starter, it would be hard to tank as it requires a bit more skill than the other things i showed. It can also be hard as a lower cata with not as much ehp. I'd recommend not attempting tank as your FIRST class but rather try it after you have some cata and experience.
As of now too, in recent updates, Mender Crown is better than Reaper mask (In dungeons) in terms of healing (has less EHP though) but the healing makes up for it.
Nons watch those videos and think why they can't get into f7 with their cata 25 and spirit sceptre.... Sceptre, yeti sword, midas spoon - bad for f7, you won't find a party with that. Also spoon blocks archer's arrows and people hate spoon on every floor. Juju arch? People accept term only, very hard to find a party, but it's still better than spirit sceptre/yeti sword/spoon. AOTS bers? Requires gs/claymore for swapping and a clearing weapon (term/hyp) The only cheap setup is tank, but it still requires clearing setup. At least with it and high enough cata (32 at least) you'll be able to get into some good parties, not just monke finder
