Oh Brook, don't worry about the mess, no one will think any less of you, we all know what moving is like but you have the added stress of having your new home being build from the ground up if anyone complains about anything regarding the state of the new 40 and the trailer block and delete them you really don't need that kind of negativity lol Marycarl is doing great on Instagram I love how she presents her birds and her artwork, keep calm and most of all safe :) from a chilly UK see you all soon
Ditto, we are so excited to share your journey, we honestly don’t even see the mess. We know it’s to be expected. Please don’t stop vloging it.
Don’t feel alone Brooke, I have to wear shoes in my house too. I decided to go rogue one day and just wear socks! That lasted for one day, then back to shoes. 😁
Yes. Please... if things didn't look a mess in the process of you moving we would wonder. Moving is hard. As soon as you are settled and you can start making a plan to tick things off the list, you'll feel better. But in the meantime, please know that all of us are nothing but excited for you guys to get moved. I am dying to know how you are going to first... catch all of the animals; and then transport them. I could care less about a mess on the property!!!!
Zrc67
I AGREE! And if that commentor has never moved, their day will come & karma will take care of them! Heck, my place looks like that sometimes! It all waits for me till I have good health days to clean it up! But it'll all get put in it's place eventually.❤
Stay warm & safe in the UK!We are watching what's happening & saying 🙏🏻's for us all!!!👍🏻💞
Hiya Y'all! Great to hear from you! You should add a Cog Hill Farm license plate & metal sign to your merchandise. We collect license plates & metal signs for our shed and both of these would be a great addition. Hope Y'all are well. Stay safe. 💜
Oh my Brook, I have moved over 19 times. Other than our dogs, we didn’t have your animals like you. We moved one time from Staunton VA to Corpus Christi TX. We had 2 weeks to pack a 4 bedroom home and be moved. You are doing so much no one thinks you have a mess. My golly, if anyone criticizes they have never dealt with it!
i live in staunton va now. moved here 3 yrs ago.
I was laughing so loud, I could just see him trying to take his clothes off so darn fast! You two I just love listening to so much!
As observant as Nugget is.....I bet you he was standing out there saying, " Good Morning....one of ya'll wanna tell me what's going on here? So many changes and you know I notice change. Do tell. "
Born in Fayetteville NC, raised up in Pocatello ID. We always said "tennies" :) Our hikers were called "waffle stompers" and boots were called "sh** kickers". I hope you'll keep it "real" and not neat and tidy while your world is up in the air. That's what real folks do. Neat and tidy is for t.v. shows.
Exactly! ;-) We wanna see REAL life, not a neatly tidied up one. This is why we enjoy Jason and Brooke's channel so much... they are very much the 'real' deal!
Don’t sweat the small stuff Brooke, moving is a messy, chaotic time. It will all work out. God Bless!!
When ants crawled up my husband’s arm it swelled up so bad I had to take him to the hospital. They were tiny little Calif ants in the dog food bowl. Don’t know what kind, but his allergies kicked in. I don’t even think they bit him.
When I was a kid in Michigan in the 60's, we called them "tennie runners." :-) Thank you for taking the time to make a podcast while you are in the midst of this huge move. I enjoy listening to you two!
Brook, we just moved this month. You handle the 'Cant find it' so much better than I did. I admire you for your patience and positivity.
Sounds to me like the sheriff had to chase off an intruder. Then he had to check the woods to make sure the property is clear.
Transition is always messy Brook. Deep breaths...
I do believe Jason earned a few more strands of silver in his beard.
Maybe Nugget getting out is cause he senses the move and he was checking to see if you were still there and if you remembered he was still wanting to go. My dogs are aware of moving and get nervous the more things are packed up. They don't let me get too far away from them and often jump out of the yard to follow my car so I have to crate them when I leave. Nugget may be feeling that way.
Moving in general is very stressful. Esspecially with extra stuff like animals! Thanks for sharing your stories.
My electrician husband of 30 yrs had a sayin: No worries it’s just construction decor:)) :)) :))
Don’t be embarrassed Brook, it’s real life!
Lordy, Jason that had to be a sight for you huddled in the horse trailer waiting on fresh clothes! Love the sense of humor that you two share. Super story but wish it didn't mean you had gotten bit!! Things are getting exciting with the move. I can't believe that you are still able to keep the video schedule up. Carry on, you guys. We are rooting you on!
I'm with you Brooke. Sensitive feet are no joke. I need to wear shoes for padding so my feet don't hurt!
You two are so cute together, I could sit and watch you two talk to each other for hours! I really enjoy watching your video's and podcast! I'm wishing your family all the best!
You two need to stop worrying about mess, just stop and thing of everything going on. We all know this is real life. Love you guys so much ❤️❤️❤️😀😀
I love to hear Jason laugh. He makes me laugh at the same time. Talking abt looking for those papers to the lot, I'm always hiding stuff from myself. Put it away for safe keeping so good, I can't find it. Lol!
I do the same thing. Lol
Me too. I do the SAME THINGS.
Great podcast!! Had me tickled with Jason and the fire ants...nekked in the horse trailer 🤣
For those who complain about missing links, things outside, anything at all just need to stop it! Y'all are nearing the finish line and the work completed on both properties is more than most could even imagine much less actually do...me included! We are lucky y'all are still taking the time to do both the vid and the podcast!!!
O my goodness you guys are hilarious im sorry Jason you got bitten but I think we all had a giggle out of this one 🤣🤣
We will never think it's a mess we understand what it is like moving
Courious about when you begin to move? Rain is every day lately! I know it’s been almost everyday! So sorry 😞!
everyone has junk piles when they move, just be busy and the stuff will get to it's intended place eventually. no sweat Brooke! We're looking at your content, and not whats laying around.
Here in Nova Scotia we don’t call them sneakers, or running shoes…we call them runners 🤣🤣 love your podcast cannot wait until you get all moved in. Take care, God bless
Another great hour spent with you. Never a dull moment 😁❤
When you install the new gate, install a dropbox next to gate for packages.
I’m from eastern Kentucky, and we say a lot of the same things! We wear tenni shoes. Noticed you said you feel necked without socks, it’s necked here too! How do you say language scholars could study us😂. Love you all and look forward to more!!!
We say necked out west in the country too
I have to figure out at times what U say-. But I get it
I'm from Ky also ... LBL area
It's a joyous mess Brooke, u are in full moving mode, to be honest I didn't notice anything but the super amazing tiny house with the awesome porch and view 😀
So glad you found those papers. It's getting down to crunch time now. The gate sounds like a good find to add to the 40. Try not to stress out. Jason be careful and watch for ants. Don't want you getting sick again. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
I am from Queensland, Australia too. I can tell you I’ve seen Emus, and Roos, jump paddock fences, regularly. They make it look easy. 😄
You guys are doing great on the packing & moving things to the POD. This is the time where you find out what you can absolutely do without for awhile!!
The mess is of no importance everything takes time when moving. Great podcast thanks. Chris from England.
i grew up in North Carolina and we called them tennis shoes. In the 50's and 60's, the girls wore the (very inexpensive) white canvas ones and the boys wore the black and white high tops. You were never to go out wearing dirty white tennis shoes or dirty shoelaces. The shoes could be washed in the washing machine or whitened with white shoe polish.
Converse tennis shoes. Now Converse comes in a lot of different colors.
@@robinwhitlatch4497 Yes! I remember that that was what the boys called theirs.
Sneakers here in Massachusetts
You folks were born under a lucky star!!! 💫😊❤️🇨🇦
Bless your hearts. I heard you were going to have more rain. I'm sorry. Send it to California. We are desperate for rain. Prayers for you guys to be able to get everything moved.
I lived in CA for many years I understand your frustration.
Here in AZ, too. We did get a bit of rain yesterday morning and were extremely thankful.
How exciting this is for your family, new chapter of your family’s life
Nugget was just crossing things off his CHF-OG bucket list before y’all move.
We call them joggers here in Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺❤️❤️👍👍you all are doing a great job packing up and getting the 40 ready. The tiny house is so ideal for your Mother. Stay safe 🇦🇺🇦🇺❤️❤️👍👍
Jason I sympathize with you about ant bites. I am highly allergic to insect bites period a bee sting put me in the hospital and a common garden spider bite almost killed me I had the blood poisoning and all. I do have to carry an EPI pen. Love watching you guys . Good luck on the new COG HILL 40.
If you know where everything is going eventually then it's not a mess. I'm sure everyone knows your moving and things have to be put aside until there's a place to put them or a place to install everything. Please don't worry about that, you have enough to do without worrying about that. It just gave me the giggles thinking of poor Jason standing in the horse trailer naked! (with short on) LOL Good thing it wasn't in the middle of winter! I just can't believe all the work you both have done in such a short time and Brooke can do all that work and still find a great deal on a gate. I'm going to call you Superman and Wonder Woman!
M
Don't feel bad Brooke I think I used my pizza pan about half the summer for a lid for my water bath canner because I had put my lid somewhere I couldn't find it it did end up being found but certainly it wasn't any place close to where I thought it was aluminum foil not great but you can use that too
Brooke, don't worry about "the mess" you see at the 40. You are in the midst of a major move and its all temporary as Jason says. Every time we go through any kind of home improvement or construction of any kind, there is always "destruction" around us for a while. BTW.. your haircut looks great! Animals always sense changes are coming and react in their own ways. I would bet Nugget knows something is up, especially with all the time he sees you coming and going for hours - not the norm for him.
Or he sees trailer leaving with stuff that never comes back.
Jason…if you’ll put Witch Hazel in a small spay bottle you can carry in your pocket and spray Ant bites or insect bites it will immediately take away the sting and keep it from swelling and making puss bumps!❤️❤️
I will look for Witch Hazel at a store. And try it. THANK YOU for your ADVICE.
Brooke - every thing will be okay! Chill about the mess & keep telling yourself this too will pass & I'm getting organize as I go..
I love the way u guys work together and look forward to seeing your videos
Maybe Nugget had a real need to do an early morning run. Lol
With a focus on a flower farm, it would be lovely to plant wildflowers all along the road in front of your property... poppies would be pretty too! It is easy to get 10,000 poppy seeds for 10-15 dollars! Wildflower seeds can be purchased by the pound or 5-pound bags. They could be scattered throughout the property too!
Fire ants move faster than Nugget! And the bite forms a bump that hurts like heck. I always pop them to relieve the pressure.... don't know if that is correct thing to do...
Don't worry about the mess. You're moving house and homestead and fixing up your mum's house too and organising the build of your new house so there's bound to be mess along the way. Everyone understands that. Take time for yourselves to keep that blood pressure down.
I love all of your voices. Friendly, crisp and clear. Thanks for sharing.
Hello Jason and Brook. God bless the Coghill family.
I love the ants in the pants story this podcast was worth it just to hear that I think everybody has had something like that my husband went out and picked me blackberries one time and he undressed on the back porch because he was just covered in ticks and this was yours before you heard much about the diseases they passed and stuff but he was not scared of anything and those ticks were giving him the heebie-jeebies he undressed on the back porch walked in the bathroom and stood in the bathtub and I had to get those ticks off of him as fast as I could.
So happy for you guys; got tears of joy for you all. Can't wait to see the next few videos about the 40!!!
I just can’t wait to go on this journey with y’all . I built my own farm house and it’s stressful but rewarding
Back in Denver, we called them tenny shoes, too. And don't worry about things not being all tidied up, you're moving, getting things ready for the animals, and building your new homes! And I'm certainly not in a position to criticize anyone for organized chaos. It will get done and will look fantastic!
BE KIND TO YOURSELVES DURING THE MOVE. ITS OK TO LOOK UNORGANIZED. BESIDES IT WILL FIND ITS HOME SOON ENOUGH
I Just love listening to you both.
You guys are doing such an Awesome job at getting things done! Funny when i check my weather i check see what's happening in your area too! 😂
Think about y'all everyday!
Sitting here listening to you talk about what y'all are working on with homeschool, while Micah hands me a deck of subtraction flash cards ... gotta love it.
You guys make my heart melt!!! BLESS YOUR HEARTS!!! lol!!!
Hi y'all! Brooke, I love your new haircut! It looks nice and cool! 🤗🤗. Jason, I hope you're all healed up from the ant bites! Goodness! I'm not in Instagram, so don't get to see MaryCarl! I miss seeing her, but I understand. I'm just glad she enjoys what she's doing! I think Nugget must worry a bit if you're coming back home each time. Lol. I can't wait to see how he likes the "40"! Have a good day, don't work too hard. Love y'all and God bless 🙏🤗❤️
Lol, not to mention shoes pronounced as ‘shews’. I was raised partially in the Deep South and partly in the north so I speak both languages hahaha!! Both are correct!
I think we all know it’s hard going from one place to another! Don’t worry about what it looks like!
I'm about to change from pvc to pex I can't wait to see the house I know it will be beautiful
Everything is coming along nicely. All is looking great. Best wishes always on what comes!!! Thank you always
Hi Jason and Brooke, I'm from Queensland, Australia and we grew up calling them joggers.
Jason, Do you realize that you repeat about 50% or more what Brook says, lol. Boy, do you make me chuckle... Thanks, GM
In Illinois, we say "turn" the lights on and off. You all say "cut" them off and on.
We also push buggies at the grocery store.
I say cut the light off but turn the light on
@@jaa4742 - grab me a "cart" here.
@@pattiripley7599 - variety - the wonderful USA.
Funny we say hit the switch
Jason should bring the box with pans and lids back in the house for you to get what you need. You'll need them at the new place.
My grand father had a skin tone color swimming suit and he would run around wearing those and a pair of flip flops. Looked like he was naked.
You are lucky that you did not lose your feet due to that many fire ant bites. A friend of mine back in Natchitoches, LA and she got into a huge fire ant mound down by the river and the ants were up her pants hundreds of them. She had so many bites that her legs turned black and was worried about losing her legs, both of them. We moved before I found out what the final results was. I too, get huge blisters from those mean ants.
Don't be concerned how things look while your moving and building! Your doing great!!!!!!!
Nugget cracks us up! Funny story about an Emu. Hubby was driving over the road and was in southern Missouri about 11 pm one evening on a two lane road and saw something up ahead on the right. He thought it was a person walking along so he stared slowing down to see if he could help this individual. Got close and lo and behold, it was a Emu out for a walk! LOL. That bird was just out for a stroll. He got up to the farm just down the road and here comes a man in his pickup truck going really slow like he was lookin' for somethin'. My hubby stops and asks if he lost an Emu. The fella says, "yep" so hubby told him where he was. We got a giggle out of that story, but we know how frantic you get when animals get out. We have goats, steers, and mini donkeys. We have good fences but my hubby forgets to close gate sometimes. :) We have had to have a donkey round up a couple of times and when they get out, they don't want to come back very quickly. LOL
Brooke, don't worry about "stuff" sitting around. People know you are moving and building a house, and have animals to prepare to move so that is the way it is. It will all get put in order once you are not having to see to two different properties. I think you guys are very organized for all you are doing PLUS fighting the rain! Every day your work is getting you one day closer to being done. :)
Talk about a heart stopper! So glad things are rolling forward for you. Can’t wait to see the new chapter unfold. Hugs to MC and Peaches!
on hiking boots, look for something called Boa lacing system. it's a spin dial and steel wires, and all you need to do is push in the dial and turn it to tighten notch by notch, and pull out the dial and squiggle your foot to loosen. super easy and more importantly, you can do it one handed if you need your other hand for something else.
We know how much you have to do and move but please don’t apologise for mess. I have so much respect for you all cause your doing an amazing job. Sorry but I did laugh when you were talking about the ants 😂 and Jason stood in the horse trailer but glad you didn’t get bitten bad. You both brighten my day always ❤️🇬🇧 x
Brooke - I have been in our new apartment for five months now. We haven't found my husband's flat cast iron skillet, my sewing box, and small kitchen knives. Eventually we will find them in our storage unit.
lol Brooke you are like me, I have to have shoes on all the time and socks. It’s not being weird it’s just something to each person. I have diabetes and can’t go without shoes in case I step on something. Loved the podcast and always laugh till my stomach hurts
I live in Arizona and that's how I say it. My kids correct me all the time. My grandson gets mad at me because his name is Hunter and I always say it with out the t. He yelled at me the last time and said grandma My name is Hun ter not Huner. Lol
I really enjoy your podcast because you keep it real and you keep me laughing
Foil paper makes a wonderful lid also!
You guys do not need to worry about the mess we all love you and love is blind.
I am in Houston, TX and that is what I have always called my shoes. My east coast husband makes fun of me but I have noticed he now says ya'll and asks for a coke even though he really wants a pepsi
Poor Brooke! I can't imagine how tough it is to have your life packed up in pods!🤣🤣You're a real trooper! People in Georgia do the same thing....Tenni- shoes!
Very excited for y’all. Keep up the great work
Got to go have a good evening. Glad I got to see you all again. God bless you all.
We join you on your channel because we enjoy y'all, not to critique your move. Things will even out after the move.
It will be fine Brooke. We all know you keep things neat. Moving is messy. It won't be long until it's all cleaned up again.
Awesome Podcast!! I Just Love You Guys!! Have a Wonderful Week!! God Bless!! 😀⚘❤
I think I’m as excited about your move as you are. Can’t wait til you get there with the animals.
Will Nugget be able to jump the new fence?? Now I’m worried he’ll try to go home.
I ran push mower over yellow jacket nest. Good thing we live in the country because by the time I got to the back door I was bare from the waist down. By the way the only thing that takes the sting and pain away for me was aspercreme. Tried everything else under the sun.
Just a big Thank You for the time your giving us. You must be soooo busy with the move.
You should invest in a 50 lbs bag of diatimatious earth. Brook carry a bucket around and every ant bed you find just dump a cup on them to protect Jason from the bites. If it doesn't kill the ants it will make them want to move away so that's why keeping the bucket or buckets around so you guide them away from Jason's places. If you order online you can get food grade that is fine for even humans to eat. I was dealing with bed bugs and did overkill and bought a 50 lbs bag and didn't use even half of it but still glad I got it.
Blessings,
Judy💖😺
Thanks for the tip! That's good to know.
I love you guys!! Videos I must watch and enjoy every day terrific family. God bless you and family.
Luv 💖 💖
I'm in West GA, west of Marietta and they have always been tinny shoes.
I call them tinne shoes, too! Love watching the Cog Hill Crew! Annette from Kentucky
Use Doterra’s Tea tree oil for your ant bites. Amazing!
Omg... yall are hilarious. I laughed out loud sitting in my front yard alone.
Toooo funny
