Lyrics
Dance
Get that body up on the catwalk
Can’t sleep through your life like a lap dog
Let’s show the world what we got
Don’t wanna take it slow
I wanna be your girl
So get that body up on the dance floor
Drive me wild oh just make me want more
With you I can’t get enough
Don’t wanna take it slow
I wanna lose control
Run away run away run away
with me tonight
Come dance for me I’ll fall at your feet
Coz I don’t wanna fight what feels right
Baby I baby I just don’t wanna miss a thing
Don’t wanna miss a thing
Come along come along come along and don’t ask why
Oh can you fall for me
Kiss me hard baby
Coz I don’t wanna fight what’s inside
Baby I baby I just don’t wanna miss a
thing
Don’t wanna miss a thing
Take the world away from my shoulder
Hold me tight the nights they get colder
All of my secrets are out
Tell me you won’t think twice
Already rolled the dice
Take that chance and follow your
heartbeat
Dance dance dance like no-one is
watching
Deepest emotions run wild
Don’t wanna live a lie
I want you and I
Get up get up
Tell me you feel it
Get up get up
Baby I need it
Get up get up I
Get up get up I
I don’t wanna miss a thing
I don’t wanna miss a thing

Hello Teamogaga! I hope your Christmas was good. Take A Look At Donna Summer's Body of Work from the 70s and early 80s and you'll understand where 'BitterSweet Anthems' came from and what Kylie is trying to do. As indeed Donna Summer is her idol and she pays tribute to her all the time. For instance when the Donna Summer "BAD GIRLS" Album was released in 1979, Kylie was only 11 and she said in an interview in London recently that she listened (at the tender age) to the 'Bad Girls' Album to death.

The best song of DISCO.....it would be a crime if this song is not a single
where does the dj go is also outstanding, should have released first
Every song could be the next single ☺️
This should have been the lead single.
@@rhalum I think Say Something was the right first single just because of its thematic relevance to the current global situation. Magic was the better representative of the album as a whole, but Miss A Thing is still the best track on Disco and should definitely be the next single.
I agree with u... Love it
People: How we can save this horrible year?

Everybody Nowdays is trying so hard to replicate the disco era .kylie is only one who seems natural at this
Dua Lipa also does it in a great way
@@NixDarkLord yep, but there's something missing on her songs ...
@@raulavilahernandez1241 What you think it is ??
Kylie was disco era. Dua Lipa can do a great attempt from what she’s heard as a kid, but kylie LIVED it, and yes, there is something missing from this generation who is trying to go back and recreate that disco genre, not sure exactly what it is.. and not saying they don’t do it well, but there’s something about this Kylie album that really just takes you back in time and sounds that authentic ‘disco’, back in the day that people knew. It’s not what you’d expect to hear again amongst the style of music as we’re familiar with today, but that’s the beauty of art, everyone will have their own interoperation of style and whatnot. That’s what makes an artist an artist.
How about we appreciate these artists for what they produce and stop comparing everyone who’s simply just trying to do something they and others enjoy. Art is individual for a reason, some will appreciate it more than others, and that’s okay!
Nah, there’s a lot of amazing artists making disco, Breakbot, Chromeo, Justice, Jessie Ware, Daft Punk, and let me tell you they are simply amazing acts.
This is the best song of the album, still trying to understand why they didn't release it as a single.
I cant get enough of this song makes me cry and makes me dance
That has to be the next single

This song is love at first listen!!!
This song can't be more Kylie Minogue-esque. Her unique vocals match with that classic early 2000's disco groove which hints some resemblance with the late 70's era's melodies. Absolutely magnificent piece of music, the best track from her new album, perhaps whole career.
It’s true, it does resemble the French house on her 2001 Fever album. Which in itself French house (Daft punk, Modjo) was based on disco.
agreed this is her best for so far
I see what you're saying but I'm getting more of an early 80s disco instead of a chic 70s disco - if that makes sense.
@@MM-yb2fy … No it’s 70s… I was there in the early 80s… It was much more synth in a bad way.

BEST SONG ON DISCO BY FAR. The fact that of all the non-singles' audio tracks this has the most views (including Real Groove which is now a single) already means THIS SHOULD BE A SINGLE. Most sophisticated melody, and the only one that differs from the pack by effectively conveying a sense of uncertainty and desperation rather than just straight up partying.
It's the classiest and sexiest track on the album. Best structure melodically - lovely descending notes on the verses, a subtler chorus that doesn't announce itself as much as the others, perfectly breathy cooing all throughout, and it has the retro-smooth feel of classic 70's disco as opposed to the more jagged and bombastic nu-disco production of everything else on the album. If there's one song here that would age the best, it's this simply because of its timelessness.
It sounds expensive and the singing is reminiscent of the Body Language era while the production is slick enough to make it fit within Fever.
THIS!!! So on point!!!! 💖💖💖
your comment is literally everything! I thought I was the only one listening to Kylie like that. Your comment makes me really happy and I agree with you a 100%.
wow, you described the feeling perfectly!! i hear shades of Madleen Kane, Teri DeSario, Philadelphia international...wonderful DISCO songs! maybe needs a Tom Moulton Mix??
Beautifully said, though I'd say it's very 2000s nu-disco (which itself is inspired from the 70s like you said).
Spot on with your comment. This song is brilliant!
Criminal it wasn`t a single!
Deserveds a grammy
The strings, the breathy vocal, the elegant disco vibes..... omg this just sums up the disco genre for me and I’m IN LOVE with this song🤤😍🤤😍👌🏼💫

HAS ANYONE HEARD OF DONNA SUMMER??....... DONNA SUMMER IS WHERE IT ALL BEGUN GUYS!! AND NO ONE DID IT OR DOES IT BETTER THAN DONNA. TAKE A LISTEN TO 'With Your Love' by Donna Summer (1978). To be fair Kylie Gracefully pays due tribute to Donna Summer all the time so I give her that. Kylie is a very very lightweight by comparison...HONESTLY!
The reason why the aesthetic of this album is galactic, is because she knew where our wigs would end up ♥️

Her best from DISCO.
Ppppppp
Yes ❤️
My favorite is Last Chance. But I love this one too ❤️
I think this song should've been the first in the tracklist.
It really sets the tone for the rest of the album.
And the "Dance!" in the beginning is the best opening for an album.
I think Magic works well too because it opens the album with a question. Almost like an invitation. Though this works too.

There's a melancholy to this in 2020, the slight sadness to the strings and desperation to the vocals. Like it was beamed in from everyone's last party before lockdowns across the world. Reminding us of how much we have missed this year. A really great pop song.

People always put the 70s and 80s together… The 70s were awesome… The 80s was nothing but a 70s hangover
To put it correctly the Disco era was between the late 70s to early 80s. Roughly 1977 to 1982.
@@victoriassme ... i’m sorry, but no. The disco era began clearly in 1972. Those Philadelphia danceable soul records are all Disco.
Harold Melvin, The Love I Lost, 1973...Win, Place or Show, The Intruders 1972, Love Train, The O’Jays, 1972, Loves Theme, Barry White, 1973...
KC and the Sunshine band, Bee Gees, The First Choice, MFSB, Salsoul...all disco 1972-1976. After Saturday night fever it peaked
(in a much cheesier version) and crashed in pop culture in late 79... yes, disco existed afterwards as”Post Disco”... then house, etc..... sorry, but I am a disco connoisseur…lol 😀

@@rianakanthi6752 Grammy depends on where Kylie's Music stands and measures up against all the Great Artists now and in the past. You see Kylie is not doing anything original. Her Music style has already been covered in the 70s where it all started by Donna Summer. And the USA have already got Artists who have better music with House and Disco origins. They also have Donna Summer's music which is still the Best in the 'DISCO' Era (She's The Queen of DISCO)
@@kojoharrison630 hello😊hmm how about 2021 Grammy? wdyt? we no longer truly made any new music I guess since 2010.. just recycle and add electronic touch.. so we need to check again Grammy standard for pop atleast 5 years back. But to my ears musically (chords tune etc) Kylie and maybe Rina Sawayama should be nominated(her music recycles old vibes too).. most of ‘new’ music now emphasize aesthetic and production but lack honesty, musicality and soul. Me personally likes to listen to rich but easy digested music😁

@@kojoharrison630 thank you so much for your insight :)) it is Well appreciated! I will listen to her work:)
@@SchocoMacGirl You are most welcome SchocoMacGirl! I also appreciate your response and thanks so much for that....... Trust me when you listen to Donna Summer (you may even start with a Track called "I FEEL LOVE" - Donna Summer (1977), then 'WITH YOUR LOVE' (12-inch Single 1978). It is 'Mind-Blowing' and you can imagine hearing that in 1977/78. No Music at the time sounded like that and so Donna Summer became the Queen of Disco and she has never been touched by any of these later artists.
The others you can easily Access on your computer right now are: - 'NOW I NEED YOU', 'MIDNIGHT SHIFT', 'QUEEN FOR A DAY' (All 3 Tracks are from the 'Once Upon A Time CD')
Take good care of yourself SchocoMacGirl...lovely person you are!!
@@SchocoMacGirl If you are looking for that 'Breathy' 'Sexy' Monroe-like powerful modern tunes that touch your Soul to the chore then Listen to Donna Summer's 70s-80s Body of Work. Every Track is 'Out-Of-This-World'.
Happy 2021
@@kojoharrison630 kojo, you are so right!!! I recently watched this youtube video "Kylie on Madonna" which collects clip after clip, from the beginning of KM career every single time she was asked about the comparisons with Madonna. Of course, miss Minogue has always been a lady, and kindly answered over and over again, that she is flattered but she is not Madonna, etc and in at least two of those interviews she says 'My music has much more in common with Donna Summer, for example". This proves that even at such young age, she was definitely insipired by the great Disco Queen Ms. Summer. And I've heard a few tracks by Summer to realise that Kylie really idolizes Summer and the early disco sound. I think fashion and image wise she could have been compared to M. but the real musical inspiration came from disco divas, especially Donna. Salutations!!
This track is by far one of my favourite tracks of 2020. The very first time I heard it I absolutely loved it! Fantastic.
The ONE and ONLY Queen of Pop music. She’s back and better than ever doing what she does best. All the little girls better take notes. THIS is how you do it in 2020. 🌍 🔥❤️ 👑
No. The Queen of Pop is LADY GAGA.
@@roroofficialph Gaga is more like the Queen Of Electronic Music.

IZZY O'KAY, Hi!! Take A Look At Donna Summer's Body of Work from the 70s and early 80s and you'll understand where 'BitterSweet Anthems' and the beginning of Electronic ('I Feel Love', 'Our Love', 'Lucky', 'Now I Need You', 'Midnight Shift') came from and what Kylie is trying to do.
