A tip I stole from somewhere a while back is to use one of the cheap reflective emergency blankets as a place to put meat on. They're cheap and weigh nothing while serving two purposes.
I added a bow holder to my pack (Bow Hitch) that is easily to access my bow without taking off my pack. Last couple seasons I have developed tendentious in my elbow do to holding a bow most the day for multiple days during the season. This has helped a ton with that
Anyone who calls poles sissy sticks has not bushwhacked down from high country. One of my kids still has knee problems from racing down 3,000 verticle with 75 lbs of elk laughing off the pain and racing brothers…. Ski poles are a must when toting 50 lbs+ of elk plus gear.
Wet wipes and a mini shovel for cat holes for after that morning coffee.
Hahaha the essentials
Butchers glove with stainless steel thread. This is always with my kill kit to decrease the stab and slice risk.
Very smart! Thanks for the tip!
Great video. One thing I added couple years back was a small knife sharpener. Definitely adding the ground tarp. Good luck everyone.
Always a sharpener and ground tarp. Unfortunately an extra knife- in the heat of the moment i lost a knife. I had a backup but it was marginal.
Very smart! Thanks for the tip!

Great tip! The more you can use that is dual purpose the better!
Thermal foil blankets. Can use for its intended use, a tarp, shelter, a placemat for setting meat on when breaking down an animal etc

Watching Dan relive his knife story while waving his knife around gave me anxiety 🤣😳
At least you didn't have to stand next to him while he waved it around 😂😂

Contractors bags. Good to lay meat on and on hot days you can put the meat in a cold creek to keep cold. Stole the idea from Gritty.
