Thank you for this, my wife has asked me to maker her a rocking chair after I built our decking. I have no training at all in carpentry so CZcams videos like yours are a god send!
These are the kind of projects I enjoyed in the beginning. As much as I appreciate your growth, I'm never going to build a massive shop or band saw. I will build garage shop projects and I enjoy learning from your videos.
Beyond your creativity and competence you are such a enjoyable person. Congrats!
Loved seeing you sitting there in your new chair, petting your chicken! Makes me feel better knowing we're not the only ones!
Greetings from Haskell Co, TX!
Hey April, you should do an updated shop tour. Would love to see how far you’ve gotten with the new shop.
April, disregard my first comment. I finally got around to looking at my email and there it was. I've downloaded and printed your simple to follow instructions and tomorrow will head to the lumber store. I'm 78 and this will be my first major woodworking project. Thanks again
You know April, although you are a very talented maker, your joy at what you do is why I like you so much 😎
What a great project! I've built a few rocking chairs in the past, and they do present their own set of challenges. Great job. Great design. Your shop is amazing, and I loved seeing that you have that SawStop table saw for safety. Hope you NEVER need to change out that brake mechanism. Again, I sure love this project.
I've bee watching since day 1 and your workflow, video editing, cadence, and well. really everything is so on point. IMHO Thank you again for another great project, I don't know how you find the time to do what you do. You are a force and an inspiration to be admired.
A beautiful Grandma in a very nice Rocking chair. Just great to sit out in the sunset, dreaming of new projects
She's not that old! :)
@@NiHaoMike64 Il agree. Just make a joke, on a late Sunday evening were the snow has arrived for Christmas. She is beautiful, and young
This is an amazing build video April! I like how you used the "easy" half lap joints. Awesome Chair!!!
April you never cease to amaze me. Thank you
It looks awesome! It probably will be a project for Spring. I’m finishing my basement this winter so Spring will be! Thanks for all your videos. I enjoy them.
Thank you for the rocking chair plans. I totally enjoy making one. Please keep doing what you do.
Love this video! Beautiful chair and loved the out-takes at the end too.
Love the Demo Ranch shirt. You and Matt are my favorite channels on youtube keep up the great videos
Excellent and educational video. April has made some great videos and is really good at her trade. I have several of her projects on my radar to do now. Thank you, April Wilkerson. You are an amazing lady.
Love your enthusiasm, April! Keep making sawdust!!
Great job April, really a great design for the rocking chair. Thanks for sharing with us.
just like the rest of your projects, excellent job. Loved the work you do, from Alberta Canada.
Christmas toys are good wood projects and if you read this your saying wow, I sure like that idea or I wish I would of thought of that or maybe your already doing it... over one million subscribers. That takes my breath away. I love cedar and how it cleans the air
I love the idea of the simple strap. As a bike packer, it would come in handy when strapping down the gear to the bike and not scratch my frame. Nice chair!
Salutari din Romania! Apreciez munca dumneavoastra. Va doresc sa faceti in continuare ceea ce va place. Sanatate si spor la treaba va doresc!
The ISOtunes bluetooth are the most comfortable and noise effective plugs I've ever worn. Thanks for the recommendation April! AND the Videos!
The “pro tip’ was so cute..... I love everything you do... thank you for always sharing. I have always been impressed by your narrative skill, I think this is why you are so amazing when it comes to all your videos.
C omo hacer bancas
I also just love the taller rocker. You are an inspiration for my 3 young daughters
April that is one sweet workshop. I love working wood too!!! Great project.
Really nice chair April, it will last for many years to come. Western red cedar is my favorite wood for any project.
Great job. Loved the tentative test sitting! Well, looks like the chickens are doing good. Thanks for sharing
That sawdust and glue trick has just blown my mind! Beautiful chair April!
Yeah that's pretty boss. Will try on my next project because I always forget to pick up wood putty
Luv seeing the Demolition Ranch shirt!
would love if they could collab or something
I wanna see her collab. Maybe build furniture for Matt's mansion.
Bunker branding handles her merch. Matt mentioned it in an off the ranch video.
After watching this video how could anyone in their right mind give it a thumbs down, why don’t these people just quit CZcams. Great video absolutely perfect, keep it up. We own a large cabinet shop so I think I know when things look good.
April, got the templates. Thanks it came very quick. Didn't have any instructions in the package but I'll take my laptop to the shop and follow along. thanks again
Excellent project!!!
Just finished this today for a Christmas gift. Turned out great! Thanks for making the easy plans!
Hi, curious how you figured out the correct height to attach the legs to the seat?
Great Job April!! You are such a great inspiration! Cant wait to start building!!
I think that´s a good Thing for an old man as me - now i will work it again - thanks for good idea and greetings from Germany-Bavaria
It has a beautiful finish. A pleasure to watch.
What a lady!!!!! You are incredible, I just love your work and the way you communicate! Cheers from Brazil!!!!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy my channel. Thanks for watching. Cheers from Texas!
A simple tip - When removing glue from an inside corner, I found that a disposable soda straw pressed into the corner to form it into a triangle and then pushed forward collects the wet or partly set glue very well. A pair of snips removes the glue filled section, so you can continue using the same straw, but lacking the snips, just throw the straw out and use another. You will be surprised how well this works.
I never miss one of your videos.
April, it was a joy to watch you and I look forward to seeing more videos and trying out this build :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Another fine creation, as talented as you are, its hard to believe you did nt know squat about it when you started!!!
Keep up the wonderful work. I always enjoy it.
Great work! Thanks for taking the time to make, film, edit and share
Hello ... I am also a cabinetmaker here in Brazil and you work very well. Beautiful profession! Congratulations!
That rocker is awesome April 👌👍👍

Awesome job on the rocking chair and video April! 😃🤘🏻👍🏻👊🏻
Absolutely Amazing design and Craftsmanship!
Well done, April!
Glad you like it!
There is also Eastern White Cedar. That's what I have in Maine plus I can mill it myself. Love the build! Great job!!
I like that chair! If I had a shop like your's I'd be in heaven!
Very nice job love the way it came out I love working with cedar plus you can use the sawdust In garden to keep pest away
I like your chair build, so much I think I will make a couple. Thanks April.
Been a long time since I caught a video of yours April as my concentration went to metal smithing, but glad you are still at it making real cool stuff! Wish the best for you....Jimmy!
I love all your videos.
You are so beautiful and a true craftsman. Your skill in the shop is better than most of the you-tubers who try to be experts. You are a winner.
I suspect we are getting much closer to dropping the gender identification in a lot of such terms- maybe "crafter" or "maker" would fit better all around.FR
Love the rocking chair always wanted one, that’s on the top of my project list! You have a great workshop, mine would fit in the corner.
love the chair April keep up the good work looking good
Another quality project documented with a quality video. I know editing takes a lot of time but your videos are perfect. They are perfect in part because you speak fluently, coherently, not too fast, use easily understood English and are VERY well organized with what you say and do. Your videos are the zenith of what other MeTubers should strive for with their's. Outtakes are always a hoot.
What Ron said. And great editing. You cracked me up when you cracked you up when test sitting the chair :-)
Agreed. And you always seem as though you are having fun.
Just got the templates- looking forward to building this in memory of my Dad!
Nice!...I have built several of the Adirondack chairs but never the rocker style. I will have to try it. Thanks for the video.
April, really cool rocker. What is not to like about it? Rock on.
One suggestion to prolong it, being softer wood, would be to attach a layer of plastic on the bottom of the runners since it might encounter rough surfaces. Or not.
April I love your work and channel keep up the great vlogs😍🤙🏼
Dude it totally looks comfortable! Great video!
Your amazing, love your working skills. The chair was an awesome project. Hope to see more your projects,
Brill….love the workshop……jealously!😊
Fantastic job April keep it up

Rockin that demo ranch shirt! Love it!
Another amazing project by an amazing crafts woman 😊
I just received the templates for the rocking chair... Thank you!
One suggestion on the templates if I may... identify the template parts. Although watching you build the chair over and over is certainly enjoyable, it makes for a long day😆.
Thank you😀
Bob Banker
You are a very good carpenter, one of the top 👍🔨🪚📐
You are really skilled and professionally perfect your work
April excellent project, beatifull, thanks for sharing
Lookin gorgeous April!!! You👈🏼 and your rocking chair! Ohh pls leave your western red cedar as it is plus clear matte poly!!! Pls don’t stain!!!!!!!!!
I wish I had even half your talent, even 25% of your shop space and maybe 50% of my own age. Maybe your work will stay in my mind long enough to allow me to re-engineer parts to save my favorite old rocker that is falling apart. Thanks. -Ron
Great work! Just bought templates to make one for myself. Thanks!

She will, she will, ROCK You!!!
Keep the videos coming!! You inspire me too keep doing woodworking.... you make it look so easy I’m jealous 😂😂😂
