My father in law's Hilux 2012 was used as garbage truck. No oil change since 2012. it was passed to me this 2023. i changed the oil, change the shock to OME, change nice toyo AT tires and additional love and care. The aircondition broke but thats it. Still runs like new. The best!❤️
Very, very good presentation. No fluff, voiced over, all about the vehicle and not about the presenter (who did a very good job) Video is part of your brand and this is one of the most professional I've seen.
i wish they had these in north america. although i do love my toyota tacoma, and its certainly much more powerful, the hilux is still sweet and i'd love to own one as well.
A Tacoma is much more than I need. Why are these Hilux trucks not in North America? This pretty much fits exactly what I need, want and desire in a truck.
Not hard to spin tires at a tight junction? Obviously they haven't driven in a Canadian winter before. :P good review. Just wish it was made it Canada as well. A mix of the Hilux and Tundra would make a really nice work truck if you ask me. ;)
I wish Toyota would come to their senses and bring the Hilux to the US. I'm starting to see more of the new Chevy Colorado around my area. If The Hilux were to come to the US, it would certainly out sell the Colorado.
toyota hilux is dualclutch transmission right? With manual and matic mode in 1 car don't it? Cause i wanna buy this for my first car my dad and me still thinking about it
Pang Christian No, the Hilux is available with either five-speed manual or five-speed conventional automatic transmissions. No dual-clutch option - certainly not here in the UK, anyway.
+Julian Scerri Unfortunately, no Mazda pick-up as yet (at least not here in the UK). Mercedes are working on one, although we won't see that for a while.
i am about to buy a used pick up soon. my favourite is the Hilux 3.0 D, because everyone is telling me how crazy reliable it is, and how it can be driven for 20 years and 400.000km. anyone can convince my that these stories are true? :D
04smallmj Except im from NZ and everyone here calls it a truck. A ute would usually refer to a holden commodore/ford falcon with a cargo tray on the back.

This has got to be one of the best review videos. I love the hilux. It's got to be the best I've driven in its class.
What about this and ranger ford in mechanics issues?

Thank-you for your very kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
good review really comprehensive. bought an invincible auto and its a beautiful all rounder
if they sold this in the US I would take this over the Tacoma or Tundra
I love this car. Hope to have one soon.for four years now I don't notice any other.
Toyota / Hedge interface, one of the best comments ever used in a car review :)

Great review, excellently presented.

Where can I get the sport deck sliding cover that fits with the bars ? Thanks
HuntViewEire HVE It's available from Toyota, but it's made by Roll-n-lock so should be available from many aftermarket accessory suppliers.
All ordered for March delivery with private plate whoop.

+Boss God well if you wish that Toyota U.K can bring the 2nd generation of the Toyota Fortuner to in U.K
Hey is there automatic mode on this car? Why dont you give a review?
You can order the Hilux with an automatic gearbox, yes. If you'd like us to review one, I can certainly put it on the list.

you should do more pickup reviews !!! :)
+Julian Scerri Is there one in particular you'd like us to review? We've been asked to do the new L200 a few times, so will try to get that arranged.
+TestDriven vw amarok seems nice, do mazda have a pickup ?
