Yes sure I would say start with translucent powders coz it's meant to set your makeup without giving pigment. Also compacts donot hv so much pigment like loose powders. You can start exploring with that & gradually find your match. ❤️
If you hv warm & deep/dusky skin tone, blindly go for banana shade of any powder. Other wise if you're in fair range even if u hv warm undertone go for translucent shade. For medium you gotta understand what suits you best.
Hey i also do not prefer any base products with shimmers or glitters etc since it makes my texture more prominent. However the shade I hv (i.e banana) from MARS don't hv any shimmer not even minute. I don't know which shade u hv or is it only my product that is like this. U can look at the product close ups from the video. It's even not edited. Mine has no shimmer. But anyway hope this helps. ❤️
