Class of 2004. blinks self titled album from 2003 was playing all summer long the summer I graduated. Oh the memories... I grew up with pop punks mainstream success in 99-04 and watched its decline by the late 2000s. Sad but pop punk is dead...those guys in those bands are in thier late 30s or 40s now...just doesnt work anymore. It happens with all music genres. Glad I was a part of the scene, being 17-18 when this music defined being a teenager at the time.
Pop Punk has been making a comeback recently.
But there are so many new pop punk bands out and there quite popular actually

Just saw them in Montreal on their huge tour and holy fuck what a show!!!! Lost my mind when they played this and rocked my ass off. Felt like I had used a time machine and gone back to the early 2000’s when I grew up with their music.
I was lucky enough to have my friend and old college roommate say he had an extra ticket to blink last weekend last minute in Hershey Pennsylvania l. I was unprepared but still remembered every word of every song. We had such a great time. It's nice to feel young again! Mark Tom and Travis have gotten older, but their music will never age
Man this song hits so differently now. As a kid it just felt like a fun catchy song to jam out to. Now it feels like a self realization and farewell. Keep things in perspective but never grow up.

It's just about Tom, this was when they were having problems, and they wrote it as a breakup song, even though they didn't break up after this song. But look at the lyrics Tom says how he wanted so much and he needed. If you know why he left, it was for the ultimatum of family and blink. He loved both but chose family (as he'd been away from form years) and they were all good friends but had problems and drifted away. And mark says I'm so sorry it's over. This is not about Scott

Im literally a man overboard right now, havent been sober in 4 years, finally decided to take the time to get clean and no better way than to indulge with blink 182, music reminding me of sober days and playing in bands, having women, parties, and fun. tossed it all with a witch of a woman dragging me down for 8 years losing everything I own including a job. blink always cheers me up and keeps my head straight. too bad its not a lifelong playlist, ive listened to every song at least 700 times each in the last 20 years.
You’re not alone my man. Having that hardest time trying to get sober, getting older and the regret and realization that the good old days are gone are killing me, along with a bad relationship. Brief moments of Blink is all that helps.
Stop blaming others for your own mistakes. You decided to be in a relationship with the "witch of a woman", to lose your job and to drink. First step to get sober is to take responsability for your actions and decisions. The good side of the story: You are free to choose differently in the future. Good luck, man!

This was the soundtrack to so many outrageous house parties when I was in my mid/late teens. I've now just turned 31. I'm so nostalgic.

13 Years since I finished at Bradley University. My best friend and I would rock out to this sound. We even learned the lyrics. He was Tom and I was Mark. It truly marked our departure of out college days. We still talk and keep up in touch. He's my bro. But whenever I hear this song, it always reminds me of growing up and moving on. Great song!

I actually think that when it's too serious take for example the I Miss You video, then it becomes very watered down, although a funny video to that would be odd

Probably in the top 5 of Blink songs. Extremely well written lyrics relative to their other music, really catchy and that signature feel their old music had to it.
Also sort of references Scott their old drummer they had to sack for boozing, probably one of the few times they’ve referenced that incident.

I got into these guys in high school when they started blowing up with Dude Ranch. I’ll be 42 this year and I’m still rocking them out. These guys and MxPx are 2 bands I’ll never get tired of. This is easily their best song too. Still slays 24 years later.
