In terms of Gaming Headset Microphones I actually like the sound profile of the Xbox Headset more than the Logitech just because I think the Xbox Headset sounds slightly more natural. It's certainly not a "clean" sound, it's just less distorted than most.
I just ordered mine today. They look sleek. I really like the green trim. It’s got 3D audio (Dolby atmos, window sonic, dts x) which is dope. For the price, i think it’s pretty good. Looking forward to it.
Dolby Atmos and DTS Headphone X aren't limited to games using them. They work in every game like 3D Audio does. Of course you get best experience in games that have audio specifically encoded for them. For other games it can be hit or miss. To get more bass when listening to on phone just turn on Dolby Atmos. What? It cost money? I thought all phones have free Dolby Atmos for headphones.

Nice video and great a/v quality. The ear pads are the same size as the Steelseries Arctis line. I don't like leather either, so I put the stock pads on from my Arctis Pro Wireless.

My friends complained that my mic was so sensitive. They could hear voices in the background loudly even tho the people is outside the room and talking normal voice level.
i disagree about the branding. i think it subtle and looks good fantastic review however the mic isnt bad either. i think firmware update should fix this issue
The Xbox wireless headset mic in your test sounded fine. It was clear and I could hear you fine. I don't think thr Logitech sounded that good. Sounded more tinny.

MSFT has said to not take the ear cups off and if you damage them you'll have to send them in for repair. I don't think we will see them being sold separately anytime soon even though they should.

it's not completely made of Plastic.....The Over-Head-Band has a Metal Band inside it then covered in the Plastic and Foam you can see.....So you won't snap it like you thought !!

Do you know if the ear pads are replaceable at all? I don't want pleather ear pads because they sweat and split and flake away over time. I've asked Microsoft "experts" and they don't have any info because the device is new. The specs say they're 40mm cups. Could they be swapped out for other 40mm ear pads on Amazon?
You wouldn't need to buy cups from them. The ear pads are pretty universal you could throw on a better brand if you wanted to. I might get one that is more of a velour type feel so i don't get clammy. I got mine yesterday and I'm enjoying it (after fiddling with EQ)
