Many people think being an Introvert and being shy are both the same thing, but they most definitely are not. Some introverts may also be shy, but not every introvert is shy, and you can also be an extrovert who is shy in some situations.
Derek Bialy Blaustein: Yeah, I'd say there's a spectrum. Most people are neither a 10 on the extrovert scale or on the introvert scale, they're somewhere in between. It might even be more appropriate to say people have amounts of each. For example, I'd say I'm a 6i/7e, but naturally lean introvert, if that makes sense?

I LOVE being an introvert it makes me just be myself. I can be very social but I prefer to have deep meaningful conversations and to keep a small circle too
How I see it is Extroverts have certain Advantages socially and we Introverts have certain Advantages out of the box.

Right. You might love people well enough (I certainly do) but when you’re honing into your own business/inner life the last thing you want is for people you don’t even want to interact with in that moment making your quiet, reserved nature a big talking point. When you’ve got such a rich inner life you’re naturally going to be comfortable spending more than half of your time in it and connecting with people meaningfully in your own terms. Small talk can just kill the introspective vibe and people pointing out your quietness like it’s a bad thing are just making it less and less likely for you to ever want to communicate with them in any capacity.

I wouldn’t say that. Introverts are better with being by themselves so they can make things. Extroverts are good with people. So how about we make a world,p where introverts will make things, and extroverts will communicate and tell the introverts what to change because of other introverts?
And as a hybridovert, I think a world of just introverts wouldn't be as fun. Actually, my understanding is that both types enjoy socialization, but extroverts are energized by it, while introverts are drained by it.

Me as an extrovert, I feel a little bit put down. I know when to talk, and I respect all introverts.
Many don't respect us though and don't know when to talk/not to talk. For example, when I'm out in public doing mundane tasks like grocery shopping, I'm not standing in the aisle looking for friends...I want to get what I'm there for and go. I don't want to have a conversation while waiting in line. Whatever the overly talkative extrovert has to say, I really don't care. All I want is to be left alone and that is infringed upon way too often. Many extroverts have zero clue when to talk and when to leave people alone. I give off tons of non-verbal cues that I'm not interested in small talk...I don't make eye contact or smile at people, I look at my phone, I don't initiate conversation. I don't like.to have to be rude, but I do get rude when I'm giving out every bit of body language that I'm not interested and I'm giving one word replies in a short tone while looking at my phone to show I'm not interested.

Introverts mean people who are just drained by socially interacting, and when left alone is when they recharge, it doesn't mean that they can't be social. Extroverts recharge by being social, but that doesn't mean they can't be shy. An Ambivert is when you can get drained by both things, but depending on the time recharged by both things.

Depend on what you define as best. My girl is an introvert, while she makes excellent decisions it can take 100 years. My decisions take 5 mins with good results.

I think with decisions over time, introverts are the best. For split-second decisions, in an emergency for example, extroverts are often the best because introverts can take too long arriving at a decision.

Die hard introvert here. Although I do like many of the personal traits that extroverts have, I’m honestly very proud of being an introvert especially after seeing many of my extroverted colleagues at work (I work in an extroverted field where I have to interact with clients on daily basis, very mentally exhausting). But that doesn’t mean I don’t have friends or don’t enjoy going to the parties/go to socializing with co workers after work.
Small talk is good. But purely doing small talk for the sake of talking without developing a deeper connection with people is meaningless and time wasting.
I'm an introvert and here's what i think my powers are:
1. I'm a good listener
2. I'm a good observer
3. I think deep
4. I let other talk and don't interfere in the middle
5. I'm far sighted. I always have a plan for what I'm about to do tomorrow
