The legal system only really helps people if they want to change, people with poor self control or mental illness are almost always doomed to fall back into the same patterns that put them in jail to begin with even though they have access to the tools they need to improve.

Doubtful...pics aren't usually taken after prison, only during the booking before prison. And that last one looked like meth addiction, definitely not after being in prison. I've been inside those walls for my work with helping women who were trafficked. They don't look abnormal. They look pretty healthy and they snack a lot bc they get paid while in prison. They were always snacking when I was visiting with them. Ramen is a big go-to and so are hot cheetos.
