I never comment ever, but had to on this. Tom literally got me out of a very dark hole. I followed Shaq for awhile but not anymore. This is extremely disrespectful and dishonest. Shaq always said Tom had bars with how he reacted and Tom hooked him up with early access and interviews. Shaq said what he said in a reply thinking no one would catch it to try to appease others at the expense of burning Tom. If he meant Tom wasn't up there with greatest he could have said that but he didn't. Also this damages others as well because Tom can just say screw reactors and not give early access any more or interviews after being burned by someone he considered a friend. Shaqs video shows him trying to backpeddle and make his comment say and mean something different after being caught trying to play both sides.

I was shocked and disappointed when I saw NLS tweets, then I saw his video addressing the issue. I didn't see someone own up, I saw a lot of deflect and project tactic. I'm a old white guy that was brought up on the legends of the 80's. The originators of it all. No Life Shaq is absolutely right when he says Tom is not a "good" rapper. He's a great rapper. He's a generational rapper. His lyricism is spectacular. The flow, the change in styles, the creativity in how he mixes metaphors is as good as ANY rapper ever. AND most importantly there is ZERO filler put in there just to make something rhyme. Every word has a meaning. Every song has a purpose.

It would be a friend I would let go. I certainly don’t want a “friend” that won’t stand behind me, especially against an obviously complete stranger, because I don’t believe his explanation on what happened, or a “friend” that I have to question if they are being totally honest with what they are saying to me.
I just feel bad for Tom, especially if he really considered Shaq a good friend. I worry about him too since we know he just went through some mental health struggles. I hope the love of his true fans, the Hang Over Gang, can help with the hurt that even Shaq admits Tom said he felt. I’m sure that it isn’t a fact that Shaq would have even mentioned in his “apology” video if it was Tom just brushed off. The fact that he says that in the video proves, to me, that the Hang Over Gang were right to be upset and that Tom probably felt pretty hurt by it.

Tom MacDonald is lyrically there and has bars for days. I cannot describe how much Tom's encouragement and give no f**ks music and attitude helped to change my life. What bothers me is that NLS is a ‘friend’ and speaks that way about Tom behind his back, but isn’t willing to be honest to his face. If he really feels that Tom isn’t a good rapper, why isn’t he making honest commentary about what could be improved on during his reactions? You tell your fiends the hard truths so that they can improve. Tom was so obviously nervous and excited to see his ‘friend’, NLS react to Dear Slim in the reaction/interview and to hear his opinion of his song. I don’t know how Tom can’t be disappointed in his “friend”. I’d much rather watch a critical reactor who is honest than a reactor giving false praise.

What I appreciate about you most Flawd is how real you are. Seeing how you went from a hater to a skeptic to a fan is pretty cool. I was kinda the same way.
