Remember Michael, we in the non Arabic speaking world only read Translation of the quran..its upon us to learn study to come to the truth of what is but a message for contemplation and guidance. Its a choice to follow and delve as deep as you want.. Some people recognise truth and logic easily some take more convincing.. That's the beauty of the quran.. It takes you to your heart, the questions that you ponder.. What's the purpose of life? God's telling us that it's to know him, to live in a certain way to be just and good to each other, to fight injustice where ever you find it.. Its not war mongering or totalitarianism or individualism secularism it's a percific way of life to benefit the most people to live in harmony with everyone.. It asks us to go learn from the past of why people failed and explore the world, the way of science, Islam teaches us to learn.. To interact and learn from others.. Its a never ending and ocean of learning.. You take as much as you need.. Or as it inspires as Allah knew his creation.. He knew our complexities and catered through one miraculous quran.. Its so much more than a book.. The language its prophecies and hints and points to complexity of our world our universe subtle and confirmed.. Many centuries later, no mistakes in its claims past and present speech, which is not translated in English.. Like they are already in the hell fire.. That he knows already of his creation who are there.. Whether you like the concept of hell and heaven Allah and all scriptures civilisations or a semblance left of it in history mention . From the past.. ALLAH is just confirming the last revelation for all mankind until he takes the scripture up.. He tells us one day it will be gone one day.. After jesus a. s.. Returns to the earth to prove to the 3 world religions the truth of the message and he will live the rest of his life as a normal human, marry have children.. We can see this in space but the concept before we had technology must of been strange and nonsensensical to the ancients our ancestors before us who probably thought this world was eternal.. We are finding through quran the universe is finite.. It has a beginning and an end.. Science is just touching upon this when the quran hints at this.. This is the beauty of knowledge and we as man are curious and it asking us to use our faculty of reason and not just emotion in Islam its a beautiful balance.. Maybe because I've already gone on my journey and I believe in Allah.. And science as I believe its from the creator that you must contemplate what's the other alerternative? Where does secularism scientistism really lead you too? Does it cater for you spiritually as all human beings are spiritual creatures some more than others, we manifest it many ways and some are not positive.. And at the expense of creation..

I am a new revert to Islam , I remember reading in the Quran that Allah instructs us to question all things and make good use of our faculties, this makes me see that people were using the scientific method for millennia before bin Al-haytham lived he must simply be the oldest recorded suggestion of this.

It’s not a matter of no basis; the reality is that there is no point in proving this to you because that miracle was imposed to a specific group of people in that specific time. Those people asked the prophet to show them the miracle of splitting the moon.
Notice that in every Quranic and Hadith story the people who seek the miracles are asking for absurd things such as they asked a prophet to cause a camel to emerge from stone or the splitting of the moon and when they (the miracles) do happen they still end up rejecting it and claiming that it’s magic.
And this is the main point that also pertains to you asking Allah has already answered your argument “Even if We had sent them the angels, made the dead speak to them, and assembled before their own eyes every sign ˹they demanded˺, they still would not have believed-unless Allah so willed. But most of them are ignorant ˹of this˺.” (Quran 6:111).
Ask yourself the following question: what causes a person to be guided to God?
