Ive long thought that the best footballers in the world share one common trait....hunger,literally. Socioeconomics play a very important role in the determination and desire to achieve anything...Diaz is a guy I hope goes far..humble,grateful and outright skiller....And that is the problem US soccer cannot overcome...Soccer is an elitist sport here...until it becomes accessible for the players in poverty,the US will struggle...Global footballers play for entirely different reasons than players in the US....Its a way of life ,for players like Diaz..The kick everything,all the time...I grew up on an Island where football was life..if it rolls it was kicked ,juggled and volleyed...Football is freedom,as Bob Marley stated years ago.
