The thing that makes Haunted Harbor harder is not that buying more land is recommended to beat the scenario, it's that the buy-able land is hilly.
This is a tough scenario. Have you thought about closing the park, flushing the old guests out and then selling, borrowing to buy land and rebuild? It’s such a long time frame might not be able to keep from going negative
You have helped me so much watching your videos love it keep it up brother !!
Such a shame you don't get too many views etc,you creating some good content here!keep it up
+RingGaming I only started a month ago.
Stuart Evans what I'm sayin is you deserve more mate your content is helpful try and get your channel out there and you'll be successful
Hey, nice completion, i only barely finished this park with a dropping park rating, nice job however!
Next level is barony bridge, very easy and fun!
+Escape And Break Yeah, if I had expanded into the hills I think I'd have had less issues with falling guest numbers. Or I could have just renewed all my flat rides each year.
I got Barony Bridge ready for editing, I've got the finished park as my channel graphic if you want a sneak peek, built a cool new Möbius woody on it.
Stuart Evans That's a very nice Barony Bridge! Here's one of my good parks, completed Amity Airfield: imgur.com/ad4DYVr
You're certainly gonna have no problem with Micro Park if you keep cramming things in like this.
Thanks Stu! Love your videos! This one has me worried, looks tough. I'm thinking of running another coaster in and out, along the same footprint of the wooden one. See if I can keep good interest, not drop the price too much and not take up additional space.
Come to Haunted Harbour, we have tentacles!
This tentacle from Sea Food Stall is really good value.
You are a rollercoaster tycoon god
For some reason when I was playing the park in OpenRCT after 2 1/2 years my park rating just started dropping like a rock, and I have no idea what caused that. Clearly this Harbor is "Haunted".
Sounds like guests getting lost or stuck. That usually can cause a sudden drop. Check the guest thoughts.
It’ll usually say in messages if there is a problem the guests are having, check that too.
It happened to me on year 3 with another scenario as guests got clustered in one part of the park and refused to move. To make things worse, their mood soured greatly and my park rating plummeted. I had to reload the game to avoid this, and was able to beat the scenario
Don’t know why you didn’t expand the park? You would have had so many more guests without the stress of dropping the prices
hi stu can u do a vid bout the looping coaster stacking them like the ones in this one, btw u r awfully good at this ! keep up the good work
+Erik Van Weenen Already done one. Check out the tutorial playlist.
And Ferris Wheel 1 keeps breaking down and mechanics are slow to repair it.
Where can we import your coasters from?
i am playing this hardore, i'd love to show you my parks. how do you record your video's?
+Camiel de Haas I use AZ recorder on android. It's not perfect but best I've found so far.
I noticed you got rid of all the gentle rides at the start. Are gentle rides not a good idea for Roller Coaster Tycoon Classic in general?
They're not in a great position in this park. Like he ended up moving the ferris wheel into the corner by the coaster. Gentle rides are mainly for guests who don't like intense rides, and many are covered, so guests will ride then while it's raining. Both the ferris wheel and merry go round increase your soft guest cap by 45, which is decent for a flat ride.
The swinging ships each increase it by only 35 and the small coasters increase it by 50-60. Large coasters like the looping and corkscrew coasters increase it by 90+. In that way, you can think of 2 flat rides attracting as many guests as a single coaster.
I usually keep every ride in and if it crashes then I drop the amount of trains to 1
