Chocolate Star is the name of his bass guitar. He even says so in the song. But it still was freaky.

It's a very sensual song and melody, from the foreplay beginning to the blood boiling passion for a climactic ending as the tempo rises and ends ecstatic 😉🥰🌹💯

"I relate you to a candybar, eventhough you are my bass guitar."
His bass is in the shape of a star and is called the spacebass. And he's got the munchies for it's love. So its now a chocolate star in his eyes. Ahh, twinkle twinkle baba ;)

    Long ago,
    ...in a galaxy far away,
(when "Black Is Bautiful" was the collective mindset of the time)
    "Chocolate Star"
    was one of many ways
we found to reaffirm our beauty
    to ourselves...and to the world.
    The phrase was
    COMPLETELY devoid
    of sexual inference.
    Black men and women alike,
    would use it
    to greet one another.
    "What's up, Chocolate Star!"
    In fact,
    my elementary teacher,
(Ms. Franklin) would refer to us
    as her "Chocolate Stars".
    Being 54 yrs. old now,
    I'm not sure
    what it refers to today;
    but, I'm fairly certain
    it's not something you'd use
    to refer to an
    8 yr. old child today.
    But sadly,
    ...those times,
    and those days,
    are gone forever.

I know Bootsy Collins, but never heard this song. Great tune, very innovative, but that's Bootsy. You should check out his work with Buckethead in a group called Praxis. Also, point of note, he made an appearance with Deee-Lite on their hit Groove is in the Heart. You can't miss him; he has a very distinct singing voice.

no sly stone did everyday people, the irony in u saying that is that Sly and the Family Stone had another feature Bassist who was very creative in his style of playing ,named Larry Graham, and yes that song was very sensual ,he is referring to sex as weed and what is commonly known after people get high they get really hungry better know as having the munchies, you could say he was getting high on having sex, which does happens in special cases and people,s relationships
