I’ve been crappie fishing for over 50 years now, in my 70’s and retired for 4 years and tying jigs for 4 years. I’ve learned a lot from Eric , and Smalljaws , I always have thought it through with an open mind, I try to make it as realistic as possible and keep it as simple as possible and found out that you don’t have to buy the most expensive material as long as you tie it correctly. 😊 great job on this project!👏

I love when Mr Brad asks these guys questions and they just have to pause and think of how to answer the question. That’s how you know he’s a great interviewer

It's fun to catch fish on a jig I've tied myself. I Like the gray ghost and so do the fish. I agree crappie jigs don't need eye's I put them on for friends that must have them 😂
It's the same feeling as shooting a deer with a bullet I've reloaded myself it's a personal achievement. I still buy a lot of Bobby Garland plastic jigs because there's a time and place for everything.

I use the square sally Hanson have for the past 15 years tying. You dont need to put it on before the thread it does absolutely nothing glue at the whip finish. I tie for everything including muskies a crappie teeth are no comparison to a big brown pike or muskie and iv never had a failure in my flys

And don't forget to apply for your 637 if it becomes more than a hobby and you really start selling. I've heard of too many people getting hit for not doing what is required.

Heres what I found and learned in my 50 years on earth and 40 + years of crappie fishing is your biggest asset is to keep a open mind don't get stuck on one color profile or one way and that can be a hard habit to break ..not claiming to be an expert just giving my 2 cents
