    I've seen your other videos and said you will be coming back again. Maybe you can do a 24hr video in the departure side next. Will definitely be more comfortable as there are snooze lounges and sofas to sleep.
    You can check out the attractions like the Sunflower Garden, Cactus Garden and Butterfly Garden. You can also catch a free movie in the cinema and rest while watching a movie.
    Lots of shops in there are exclusive where you dont see it outside the departure area.
    Anyway this video is interesting as its different from other vloggers who do their videos in the departure section instead of outside the departure section like you did.

    Jay next time you are back, try venture to Pulau Ubin to see the rustic side of Singapore and you can see the mangrove, wild boars and monkeys. Also, can try experience Smith Marine - First Floating Restaurant in Singapore or go canoeing along the mangrove. Back to the Jewel, there is the Changi lounge which is opposite to where you had deposited your backpacks. The lounge includes free flow of light snacks, showers and nap amenities. Give me a shout when u are planning to come back with (K)Carolina and will take you both try more kaya stuff. Kaya toast with the runny eggs must be mixed with dark soya sauce, not light soy sauce.

    32:50 That's light soya sauce. Dark soya sauce has a much thicker consistency and is less salty than light soya sauce as it has been fermented for a longer duration. Malaysians prefer light soya sauce with their soft-boiled eggs whereas Singaporeans prefer dark soya sauce with theirs. Ya Kun has both light and dark soya sauce and you can tell the difference by shaking the bottle a little as dark soya sauce tends to cling onto the inner sides of the bottle.

    • @JayeshChhaya
      @JayeshChhaya  Před 2 měsíci +1

      True that! I think [Karolina] I must have just grabbed one of the black sauces not really paying attention to the consistency 😂 Although we would have preferred to have the sweet dark sauce! It just tastes better with the soft-boiled eggs in our opinion!

    Welcome back to SG again! 😊
    The carrot cake is made by mixing shredded white radish with rice flour, steamed into big blocks, then chopped small & stir fried. Both radish & carrot share the same chinese term, which is why it translates to carrot cake.
    As for the soup, the beans in there are actually peanuts. Lotus root is the root of the lotus flower. Such soups are already flavourful on its own, but if you need dipping sauce, can just get the light or dark soya sauce with chilli padi.
    Should get the dark soya sauce for the eggs, not the light soya sauce. 😅

      @@JayeshChhaya when they swabbed your bag, it's a chemical test for explosive residue. I think drugs are just dogs or when they use a mechanical "sniffer"... It was right at the beginning of the video (1:08). 😁

      Sometimes when filming it’s not super easy to do easy things 😂 We always try to help each other but for some reason I thought ordering a dish by myself and filming it would be enough lol

    Jayesh, perhaps you should not have asked Ray to purchase the carrot cake at staff price for you since you are not a staff member. It will be like asking him to cheat, which is not a good value to propagate amongst your followers. While I know it is only just a small amount, it is not the amount but the act of doing so. Honesty and integrity should be cherished so as an influencer, perhaps you can help to promote those values as well.

      I’m sure he was joking when he asked him to buy it for him as staff price.

      I was just joking with him but then he ended up buying it for us and I can't refuse Singaporean hospitality :) Let's be honest I don't think there is going to be many people coming to the airport just to get staff discount at the canteen lol

      Chill bro. He offered to pay public price. The guy just took it upon himself to offer some Singaporean hospitality. No need to get ur knickers in a twist…
