Spore: Mario creature - Spore Mods

Have you ever wanted Mario in Spore? This of course has been answered already! You're probably well aware that Marios have been attempted many, many times in this game, to, well, mixed (or horrific) results. The default Spore pack is actually kind of lackluster making Mario since you're always going to be limited by colors, which seriously hampers your options.
So here's my attempt on a Mario with all the goodies of mods and the wonders of reference images. I really like how he turned out, with all proportions and colors closely replicated to the source. Since this was made with video off, however, I sadly can't show the sped-up process of making this (additionally, this was built from several older iterations of Mario creatures, not from scratch), but I can show you a little of how some parts are put together, what parts I used. I also put this Mario for a spin in Test Drive and Galactic Adventures.
Some design choices were compromises between function and accuracy. For instance, I chose the Wide Eyed part because it's moving even though I can make accurate eyes just from sphere parts. I chose the Creepy & Cute part Buttonmaw for a functioning mouth rather than put tan parts to hint a mouth.
If you want to make Mario on your own, you should get a good feel for how Spore creation works, take advantage of all handle manipulation you have and make good use of TAB (which increases manipulation). Save several iterations frequently since Spore is prone to crashing (with no backups) in my experience. You should also always work from reference and very careful observation like what all artists do, NOT FROM MEMORY!

Dark Injection 9.r (this requires Spore Creepy & Cute, all Spore patches, and especially Spore: Galactic Adventures expansion; they also must be installed in a particular order ) (this mod is excellent! it removes complexity meter, makes DNA points super high and not a problem, allows you to stick any part on a creature without having to jump through several editors, and adds a TON of parts!)

This is my own mirror, but I originally got it off a Spanish site that requires you to register. I additionally had to deal with the headache of the notorious ad.fly (as well as removing adware I got from ad.fly), which was very unwelcome to me.
