Soft-spoken ASMR has always been the most effective for me. A lot of the good classics use it very well.

This unironically was one of the best ASMR videos I've watched. I love genuine ASMR and people who just do what they're roleplaying as with nothing unnecessary added. No extra taps, or noises, just the natural sound from the job performed.
The talking ruined any ASMR elements, the lack of procedure ruined any ASMR elements, the purpose of the video ruined any ASMR elements. Just because a video has close up sound effects doesn’t make it ASMR.

@@noluckasmr you’re right, I don’t decide what is and isnt ASMR. The science of it makes it so. You can quantify all of this. My emotions are not involved in any of this. Just stating facts as people have been mislead to think what ASMR is and might be. By educating you and posting will hopefully change things. Clickbait is awful but YT by design have to trick us.

yeah, i think the better asmr is when someone is focusing on some detailed task and possibly explaining their thoughts while you can just observe and relax for a while

I personally have really enjoyed your videos. They have an almost effortlessly calming and relaxing tone. The sound quality has gotten better over the last year as well. To the point where it’s a nice almost white noise like effect in the background that just enhances the calm tones of yours and Jeremy’s voices. An idea: at some running shoe stores they have you run and then analyze your run and tell you if you over-pronate or supinate and pick out shoes for you. That would be cool to see you guys do!

Just because something has elements of something else, doesn’t make it that. An instructional and tutorial video with close up sounds is not ASMR

@@NoName-nm7fx there is method and science to ASMR. Within the 28 specific ASMR triggers, writing is one of them, but just because a video has detailed writing sounds doesn’t automatically categorize it to be used as ASMR. There are more elements in the video that interfere with and categorize the video as something else. (Some would argue there are 6 types of ASMR categories per the most famous and used Masterclass which would disqualify this video (as in not enough ‘S’ and ‘P’ sounds, lacks changing visuals, etc)
