In India the Hindus don't allow anything to be named after Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Even little known kings like Rana Partap and Shiva ji Maratha have more publicity than the only independent sovereign King in modern India the Sarkar E Khalsa Maharaja Ranjit Singh

@@gurindersingh8109 yes Hindus are same and same are Muslims, Hindu used Sikhs ( 99 percent of Sikhs are still in Indian prisons as political prisoners, Punjab was broken into Haryana and Himachal and moreover farm bills are to break away farmers and langar pratha of guru Nanak ) and Muslims also used Sikhs ( in Khalistan movement and then Benazir Bhutto gave the name of all people in the same movement. I don’t expect anything from Hindus becsue we have realised now, wanted to ask same from Muslims, if Sikhs can trust?
Because of orthox people. I don't want to offend Pakistan but truth is better. Because of religous orthodoxism , Sikhism / Himdusim is not taught in Pakistan schools . Just islamic education is provided along with primary/ secondary/ higher education.
Pakistan is birthplace of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Saudi Arabia is birthplace of Hasarat Mohammad Sahib . But in Meca we see Muslim rule and so in Nanakana Sahib why shouldn't be Sikh rule . And if Pakistani Government can't do so please return our west Punjab to India .

Maharaja Ranjit Singh was indeed a very great ruler and that's why he was revered by all Punjabis before the creation of India and Pakistan. However, no one talks about the huge blunders Ranjit Singh made. Firstly, in not taking care of his succession and, secondly, in trusting his servant Dogra Gulab Singh and his brothers. These very serious errors of judgement will always mar his legacy.
