  • Epic hike to the worlds 9th tallest mountain Nanga Parbat in the Gilgit Baltistan Region of Northern Pakistan.
26,660 feet. The worlds ninth highest mountain. Towering above Northern Pakistan, Nanga Parbat begs to be conquered, yet it is one of the most dangerous mountains in the world, earning its nickname: Killer Mountain. Though there was no chance I would climb it, I wanted to get as close as I could to this monstrous rock. The trek started with a jeep drive up the worlds most dangerous road. Then a gorgeous hike to Fairy Meadows, where we camped for two nights. Followed by an attempt to Nanga Parbat base camp, but the snow made the journey impossible for us. We had the most beautiful 3 hiking days amongst some of the worlds highest mountains, and here’s how it went…

It is honestly not that difficult of a trek. I would say pretty doable and I know there are horses offered if you are struggling but still want to experience it.

Hey! I went a few weeks ago before the protests in Islamabad so keep an eye on that. Might be tough with family depending on age of kids. It is a very very long bus ride to get there. Maybe 14 hours

It was just 1 attack in the history due to US and Taliban war. Situation is well under control now, and that was a reaction from Taliban against US drone attack which killed taliban commander and many local people and children.
Well US is gone for now, and with it all the terror and extremism. There's no problem currently and everything is normal.
Hopefully government will now start paying attention towards the infrastructure
