One thing I love, and I know I'm not the only one who did this, is that he scales amazingly with Armada Star Saber. The Air Defense Mini-Con Team have certainly found a new home in his hands.
Haha yes, so I see.
I also think that the reduced size of Victory Leo can be forgiven, mostly because the reduced size allows a better combined mode. Compare it with KFC Simba combined with MP Saber in which our favorite space swordsman seems to stand on precarious balance over two oversized pancake makers.
I agree. It’s for the overall benefit.
Got Victory Saber and Galaxy Shuttle recently , Star Saber definitely my favorite of this line and I have to say legacy is definitely living up to its name with how many transformers series are and will be represented within this line .
It certainly is!
Absolutely stellar stuff as usual! While I do enjoy your Source reviews, there's something about your video presentation that can't be beat for me. Your comparisons with older takes on the character aren't just "This one does this better", you let each figures merits shine on their own, "This is cool in it's own right!". I love how you talk about the community and mention if other people have had issues instead of presenting everything in a vacuum, and you do it all while still telling us everything we need to know about a release. Keep up the amazing work Sixo!
Aw thanks so much! Ngl this comment made my day. Really appreciate the thoughtful feedback. :)
Man so glad to see you back I love your channel so much your shots and sets are so cool
Thank you so much! Good to be back.
Super happy with my one pretty much. The Micromasters have some issues, Fire's legs have some issue folding up on mine, but other than that I seem to have been blessed by the QC overlords. Did not realise the flight stand's spaceship attachment can fit on the back of the stand like you did near the end. I've been leaving it attached normally. One thing I only discovered recently is that the blade can be stored down a gap in the side of the lower leg. They thought of everything with this lad. Not seen many people notice that there's a second hinge in the butterfly shoulders so they can flay outwards a little too.
Right at the end when you show it next to Unicron I'm reminded that I'm kinda glad I skipped on the big man cos I'd have nowhere to put it. I have Star Saber next to Legacy Black Zarak and that's taking up enough room as it is. Great to see you doing reviews again man. They're the best, most well produced in the biz.
Aw thanks! Appreciate it.
Yeah, the stand thing is in the instructions but very easy to miss. It doesn’t hold especially well but it can be done.
The shoulders I noted too, but I didn’t get a very good clip of it to show it off, and by that point I was waist deep in editing hahaha.
And yeah, Unicron is a space eater, rather appropriately 😅
Simply AMAZING! What an outstanding figure and the quality you put into your video really did it justice. I really appreciated the comparisons to the other toys. I was going to keep mine new in the package to wait for Deathsaurus but those plastic straps on that gold chrome just made no sense especially when you see all the care that has gone into both the figure and the package design. Fortunately, not too much damage was done to mine but definitely something to look out for. When I get the time I will panel-line this guy up which I know will look amazing. I can't wait for Deathsaurus. Keep up the great work! BTW I really hope some third-party company makes some gap fillers for those cannons and for the inner thighs of Victory Leo. With this figure in hand, I no longer feel the sting of not being able to get the Masterpiece version.
Glad you enjoyed the vid, and the toy of course! Hope the panel lining goes well!
@@SixoTF Thanks. BTW, the V Star instantly reminded me of the combined Alpha Beta fighter from ROBOTECH the New Generation. I just loved those 80's ship and mech designs.
Another one knocked out of the park from old Sixo ;)
Great video and I'm glad I moved mine on (nothing to do with the toy), but if I ever get FOMO of not owning it I'll just come back to this vid!
Haha thanks!
Great images and lovely video. I'm in love with this toy. So happy I got one, and so happy I have Deathsaurus on the way.
Thanks and good to hear!
Got mine today, saving it for Christmas
Mine arrived today! but since it's a birthday present i still have to wait...
3 videos in 2 weeks? You're blessing us!
I am trying haha.
I ordered mine today. Finally have a vendor in my country! I can’t wait.
Congrats!
Finally a review where the new Star Saber is compared with the MP version.
Love your videos as always. Nice to see yours doesnt have any of the QC issues people have been talking about. The only issue mine has is the sword is unable to fit in fore the Toy way of holding it.
Fantastic review Sixo!!! I cannot wait to get Victory Saber, these Autobots look incredible. Keep on being amazing.
Awwww thanks so much!
@@SixoTF You're welcome.
Awesome review! This set really turned out great!
Thanks!
Great review my friend. For the micromasters loose arms or legs, use modge podge.
Yes! It’s always a great day to see Sixo posting something on here!
Aw thanks!
Your video is excellent, great rythm, good presentation of all parts.. So you are thinking the HasLab for the 40th will be G1 Unicron ?
Got it about a week or two ago, and only got it out of the box last night. (I'm not one for rushing things all the time.) For any small squabbles the toy might have, all its positives outweigh it by a whole lot, making it worth the purchase. (Its price being more than half the price of Unicron also made it a comfortable purchase, after selling a few things, too.) It's well good! I also look forward to Deathsaurus.
I totally agree - you can nitpick but the overall set is amazing.
Lol I’ve watched almost ALL reviews of victory saber and deathsaurus and for some reason not one reviewer has put Star sabers battle up helmet on the pegs on top of the shield , which I know it looks weirder than leaving it where they do but also .. it’s a thing you can do , and on deathsaurus his wing tips detach and become like throwing blades and I have yet to see anyone show it on camera .. plus , I’m a weirdo who leaves his figures in the box .., I’ll NEVER get to see either thing displayed 😂😂😂 oh well still two AMAZING haslab projects 🤘🤘👍👍
Fantastic work as usual, the photography is exceptionally great in this one! I’m in agreement on all points, just last night I put on an album and spent a solid half hour just fiddling around and posing him, he’s an absolute joy.
I would like to ask, how are you feeling about the display stand in practice? I love the look of it but get very nervous utilizing it. In the configuration intended for bot mode I feel that it’s going to badly scratch the yellow paint where it overlaps, and in the alt mode configuration it seems to be very bouncy and unstable.
I’ve also noticed that it doesn’t seem to balance evenly unless the V-Star is fully combined with Victory Leo, I’ve noticed the entire base flexing to the point that the back end lifts up slightly, which really makes me worry about the stress being put on that wobbly arm.
Aaa mine comes in on Thursday, can’t wait!
Have fun!
This is the ultimate Victory Saber video!
Aww thanks!
You’re back!!
It's true!
Welcome back, dad!
Hahaha thanks
He looks great. I wonder what 3rd party add on kits were see. I'm hoping for a longer sword blade as well this one looks a little short.
I had thought that might happen! It’s an obvious one.
Um, I have this toy - I know all this! A truly lovely video. Top tier production as always!
Lol thanks ;)
Thanks for this! Looks amazing and great to see the comparison with the MP and the original G1 toy!
My pleasure! And yeah the comparisons were the bit I was most looking forward to.
Hi, how would you put this with the masterpiece version overall?
23:00, the Saber Jet looks like something from Dangaioh which I like.
26:50, it's in the tagline 'More...much MORE than meets the eye'.
Getting more Vic Saber is a huge plus. Let's see how Deszaras is later down the road.
Can’t wait!
@@SixoTF I think a lot of ppl too. :) That thing just looks like MP-quality.
Well people look at Brave and noticed how similar it was to Victory visually
Who’s that larger victory Leo? I don’t recall there being an MP representation or a 3P version aside from the (as far as I know) still upcoming Planet X take
It’s a 3P effort - KFC Simba
I think my Saber has a factory error. When I'm trying to plug in the nose cone to the jet it doesn't connect properly. It looks like there's a small bit of excess plastic blocking the secure clip in.
If TFW2005 has a QC issues thread I’d recommend posting about it there. They’d know what to do.
1:11 if you’re not familiar with the mighty mighty supreme commander STAR SABER, are you truly a fan at all 😂😂
Did your sword fit better in the other arrangement? It is impossible for my figure to do the G1 sword and have it fit in place.
Mine's the same. I almost wonder if it was an afterthought in the design process.
Huh, strange! Mine seems ok in both.
I'm sure someone like GoBetter will come out with a kit to fill out those hollow sections.
Likely I’m sure
What's the song that you use for your intro and outro?
It’s from the G1 cartoon - generic disco/rock tune.

I have such FOMO for Victory Sabre, wish I had the money at the time and the space now for it. And I wound up skipping Deathsaurus because I wasn't able to get Victory Sabre. At least I have the Robot Masters version, even if it's a bit fragile at parts and showing its age in a big way...
I'm super intrigued about the RM version - one day maybe!
@@SixoTF It's been bootlegged to hell and back so it should be easy to find a cheap (if even more fragile) version to check out
@@SixoTF I managed to source one and a RM Victory Leo about a year back. Pretty neat "budget" versions of the two lads. They make for great deskbots
Man had I been liquid enough when the campaign was open I would’ve funded this
Sorry to hear!
Star Saber's Brainmaster gotten smaller 😂
Hype
V much so
I wish it came with screw hole fillers
It’s the kind of thing I imagine a 3P doing but yeah, it would’ve been cool
@@SixoTF - Maybe put it to Hasbro and they could include them with Deathsaurus 🤔
V V VICTORY!!
Quite!
What do you think Haslab has in store next?
I’d be slightly surprised if we don’t see a Primus at some point but I reckon next they may continue on the JG1 route.
Hell yeah, I’d love something like a modern Trainbot Team! Keep up the work! I love your galleries, but I’m sorely missing you here on youtube!
@@SixoTF no the next haslab has been confirmed not to be any Japanese continuity , The transformers team said they're doing something for the 40th anniversary for the haslab next year .
@@casualknight8962 oh? Must’ve missed that!
He's so wee!
Comparatively!
これのアップグレードパーツもあるとかないとか……😅
