i'm ready for the ultimate surprise
Lewis Hay i know right!?
The ultimate surprise is after practicing for two years and when you buy yourself a real guitar, you will play like shit man ;-)
lol yeah this is shit
That it's a crap?
You sound like the narrator from Spongebob.
Ya! No Sound! ...to make sure you really don't know what you're doing!
but what is it good for if you can't hear the result? how do you know you're playing it right if you can't hear?
+Phantom speed When you want to practise playing guitar at night, the sound may be as noise to your neighbors. By pocket guitar, we can prevent this from happening. :)
But still, how will you know you play it right if you can't hear?
Phantom speed It is for finger practice. As it is portable, you can bring it anywhere(such as classroom or somewhere needed to be quite) for a practice according to the acoustic spectrum. You don't have to hear the sound all the time but still able to get acquainted with what you are going to play. Hope you understand. :D
lets try pocket bleach easy to use without any noise....
I wonder if you can put a pickup on it and run it to your phone
Ok so here's the thing. You guys are really marketing this thing completely wrong. This is actually a great product....(the 6fret version anyway. Don't buy the 4 fret version)
But here's the problem, you're saying you can practice your strumming. No, no you can't practice your strumming. If you can't hear then you don't know if you're strumming correctly.
However the guitar is not only about sound. Practicing the guitar has a lot to do with your finger work, and honestly what you ppl should be marketing is the fact that you can practice your finger exercises on the go.
I am a beginner and I have noticed a significant improvement in my ability to work the fret board of my guitar. (Spanish electric acoustic)
The reason I got this, is because I don't have enough time to actually sit down and practice my guitar work outs, because I have school and work.
With this, I can practice my finger exercises on the go.
I've masters a lot of chords this way. You can practice your placement, you can practice switching chords between one another, sometimes I'll just a hold my fingers in the chord position for long periods of times like when I'm on the bus to get the muscle memory of it.
you can practice finger stretches or even you can practice my scales. I've even been able to practice finger strumming by just flipping to the opposite side.
This is a very versatile tool that can really help beginners with their finger workouts, to get them more comfortable with the fret board.
Now I will admit that it sucks that you ppl send the damn thing with stupidly cheap and crap strings.
And I thing that because you send them with shit strings thats the reason you have so many negative reviews. but once you restring it with some good strings (nylon for me) this tool can really take you far.
This is a finger work out tool to help with your chords, scales, finger picking, ect.
Not an actual small guitar that fits in your pocket, it makes no noise, but that's not nessesarily a bad thing, if you have an actual guitar at home (which I assume you do if you're looking into buying this) I definitely recommend this. You practice your exercises on the go. Come home and then practice your actual guitar, and I promise you the efficiency of learning your guitar will increase.
But don't be mislead, do not buy the 4 fret model.
Pick up a 6fret one it only cost like 10 bucks. Restring it with actual good strings, that should only cost like 5-7 bucks and bam! you have a very good tool that you can take on the go with you., that can help you get better at playing the guitar.
Also sorry for the long post, but I keep seeing so much negative stuff about this product that I wanted to make sure that my point got across clearly.
Assuming you're not associated with the company, this is a really good comment and helpful review. This thing looks ridiculous, but it could obviously be beneficial to beginners in certain circumstances, exactly as you described. I'm thinking of getting one for my son.
this is exactly what I was searching for, most bad comments are because they didn't get the target market for this product, I have a guitar anyway lol just wanted something to have at the work office :) needs to be quiet
Amazing, don't you have a bicycle with no wheels? i'm interested.
Interesting idea, I remember thinking that something like this could be useful when I started learning, many moons ago. It is of very limited value without hearing what you're playing though, best to get a guitarlele which can be carried practically anywhere and can be played quiet enough to barely disturb anyone else.
great way to keep your finger tips in good shape to
It's to practice ur chord shapes and changes brilliant idea
best invention ever
Without sound its hard to know if you are muting any strings or getting a buzz.
exactly
As a beginner, there are a lot of chords to learn. Even if my technique isn't the greatest, I can still learn the basic chord shape and fingerings as well as transitions. I can adjust when I get to my real guitar for fret buzz or improper hand position. I personally find learning the chords separate from the technique easier, as the technique seems to come easier than the unlimited chord variations and transitions.
As a drummer, I practiced on a practice pad to get certain sticking and rudiments down before playing them on my kit. Although the practice pad was mono tone and one pad, what I played there was easier to transition to on a real drum set or drum with minor adjustments for stick bounce and head tension. This guitar tool is no different.
Lets not forget its QUIET. As a kid by parents and neighbors HATED my drum practice. At school in a band setting before class you can't practice on a drum as its very loud and disturbing. Now as an adult wanting to learn the guitar on my own, I can learn chords and such while sitting in front of my computer quietly and when I'm ready or the time is correct (I practice late at night when my family is sleeping, so on weekend I break out the guitar and amp and put it all together). Everyone learns differently.
I could use a good buzz after listening to this guy speak
Not really, maybe for a beginner or intermediate. After that you're supposed to know if you're muting a string or not only by feeling the string on your fingertips.
If it had sound, I would buy it.
Guys, It is a portable practice tool, not an actual guitar. It is intended for practice with the fretboard in places and moments where you cannot bring a guitar with you and make noise.
Yes, ur right!
Sounds like the french dude narrating spongebob is looking for more work
I just bought one dosen't sound like a proper guitar but is a good practise guitar. Is portable for travel and to use anywhere.
at 0:52 it appears as though he's about to laugh uncontrollably thinking "Are people really going to fall for this gimmick?"
lol
I am the king of the guitar wrold!!!!
Indeed you are, and no one can hear if you make a mistake. :P
no sound = no music ... so you learn to play music without music? overthink that
I believe that is the ultimate surprise.
I'm 2 years late to respond but my piano teacher when I was a kid gave me a cardboard piano to practice on. I got better from it because it's better than no piano.
Beethoven hold my piano bruh
I give it 4 out of ten. It really only seems useful for chords...still a really neat idea if your just starting out and practicing chord shapes.
I'm just learning and I do use it to practice cords and for finger exercises, but I also just paid 9 dollars for it, and I don't have a guitar.
I do have a guitar.
Possibly one of the best commercials I've ever seen. To clarify though, bought one, pointless, no sound.
Tim Cook I feel sorry for you, I almost made the same mistake until I saw this
The "no sound part" is the ultimate surprise.
Was expecting the ultimate surprise to be sudden death
It should be called "Silent Guitar" and it should be revealed on April fools only then people will get the ultimate surprise.
All I want to do is pursue my childhood fantasy, and discover this ultimate surprise..
(*^__^*)
the asmr is real
So.. How would you know if you are actually executing your cords correctly with the right grip and every little detail in finger-placement and hand-placement that affects the Sound and quality if this thing, doesn't make any sound?
I wish that would have existed when I attempted guiter lessons
I feel this invention is great but only half realised, If you could make it so the sound was heard through headphone jack that would be perfect.. otherwise you might as well just practice air guitar.. If this was able to plug into head phones or speaker it would be more marketable and fun to bring to parties and what not while also being a good silent practice
it's super cool. i can bring it to the bus and feed my doing something-with-guitar addicton
i want one for the higher part of fretboard (12th fret and higher)
Get ready for ultimate surprise. All your guitar sounds belong to us.
Can you make sounds with it?
Not good but can it make sound if you want?
tbh even if it doesn't play, it's good for beginners to stretch their fingers and get used to muscle memory, as long as this is cheap
The guy talkin. His sister loved me long time
Guys, the real portable guitar tool also has a little monitor attached to the head. So it makes sense. You immediately see the chord you "play" and if you make a mistake you won't see anything. I guess.
Looks like another gem from Ron Popeil. Does it convert to a Pocket Fisherman when you're done jammin'?
Is there a fretless version?
FFS, can someone give this guy a glass of water please?
Fan we hear it!!!!! Jezz
Don't let others catch up!
up next we have a xylophone with no keys
How do you turn it on? ;)
Damn these comments are funnier than his reading voice. Im sure even in an Asian language this guy is gonna perform the same way.
lol
I really wuna try this on a arngplane
JUST DO IT :-D
But it has no sound? What is the point? I'm so glad I watched this video before purchasing.
Thanks for your watching. (*^__^*)
I’ve watched this at least 50 times and still can’t figure out if it’s a joke or not?Is it just bad English translation? The narrator seems like he’s holding back a laugh when he says “airplangs”. You don’t want the others to catch on that you’re practicing guitar chords and pursuing a childhood fantasy to surprise someone. I don’t get it but still love it and would probably buy one as a conversation starter alone....
Thanks for your suggestion.
And what´s about the Sound?
am i missing something but i cant hear a note coming out of that guitar, i see his hands moving but no sound. where is the amp?
Is there an eight string version so I can practice djent? :-P
John Gill No,but there is a 6 string model available to enable you to practice scales as well as chords. You can find them over on Amazon.Happy strumming!
Why didn't you extend the strings to the base of the device so we could pluck them? DUH..? I don't see the point in strumming and hearing clicking when there are strings attached.
I'm here to pursue my childhood fantasy.
can't you practice these same cords on the normal guitar without stringing it?
Will try it bro :P
I actually think this is a great idea where nothing else is practical, obviously no you can't hear it and no you won't learn anything outside of chords and I guess maybe some scales, but those are best on a real guitar. But of course this is when one either isn't available and/or practical.
It would probably be great for monochromatic exercises, it's only that it is a bit hard to know you're striking with your pick at the right time(like with shredding) and it wouldn't work your picking hand that well anyway outside of strumming from the look of it being textured like strings, but just raised plastic. But the whole point is to exercise the muscles involved, you still get the feedback with your picking hand that you're where the string is, could still help build muscle memory for string skipping and stuff but IDK for sure how well it would work outside of strumming. But even just for the fret hand, it's about as close as you can get to a guitar without being a guitar considering it's size. It's certainly going to help you much more than a handgrip/finger type exerciser.
Plus you could focus more on things like minimizing the distance you lift your fingers off the string when doing a monochromatic exercise with all fingers, with all possible combinations of patterns using each finger once per string. 1234, 1243, 1324, 1342 ect. I do that for chords and sweep picking too, in that case for 1234 first finger is on 1st fret 1st string, 2nd finger 2nd fret 2nd string, for 2134 2nd finger is on 2nd fret 1st string, 1st on 1st fret 2nd string ect.
It's really really great for legato(the fingering patterns), but of course you would really need a guitar for that, I don't think that would work on this. I mean, you could hammer on and kinda pull off, but it wouldn't be the same lol, it isn't even just the lack of sound in that case. But even if only using the fret hand just simply pushing the string down in those patterns, the idea is also to train your brain to do those patterns so you don't need to think about them anymore, you can just do them without thinking after it gets hardwired into your brain. The legato in all the possible patterns for me at least was the most difficult, because every change in the pattern changes whether you're doing a hammer on or pull off. It's that much more you have to think about but also more demanding of your fret fingers physically.
This still wouldn't work as well as a real guitar, but for the sole purpose of building muscle and muscle memory, it's much better than doing nothing. On the other hand though, sometimes less is more, it's only better than nothing assuming you wouldn't just be overworking yourself.
Yeah though all that said, I just keep a spare guitar in my custodial closet lol. I can practice as much and as often as I need to so this isn't really for me, except I suppose maybe it would be useful on road trips just to do maintenance exercises. Don't really go on enough though to warrant the purchase, I could just bring my finger weights along and that would probably do well enough. Your mind doesn't waste away quite as fast as your body does, but I suppose even just tapping my fingers on something in those patterns would do for that.
Yes, I have one, but I also bought a real guitar first. But, this is helping me learn the finger placements and the cords w/out having to pull out my guitar and have to put it back in the case everytime. Very good for finger exercise, I actually love it. Because before I got this my guitar wasn't getting any use anyway because I didn't have time, now wherever I find a moment I can use this and my interest in learning to play is back more than ever.
Thanks to you my man you saved me some cash. I was about to hit the purchase button. But then i find out NO SOUND..oh fuck dat..i`d rather play guitar hero than buy this shit..
can someone tell these asians that in the USA its called air guitaring.
0:40 he almost let it fall
this sound like a Rick and Morty Multidimensional TV
This product needs to be redesigned. Can't learn to play music without music. This is making the jamstick look good. I can't take my guitar everywhere and thought this would be a good solution but nope not worth hard earned money
Asmr guitar
Bang good.. ROFL!!
Best video on youtueb
Thanks! :-)
He sounds like the voice of the French guy speaking as the narrator from Sponge Bob Square Pants.
The only real benefit I see with this is building up callouses and finger/hand strength and endurance conditioning for those that might need it but that’s really it. Pass, no way I would get this lol
need a 4 string for banjo chords practice ......
Thanks for your suggestion!!hahah
Airplangs
Mike Oxlong
bahahaha.....hilarious
Mike Oxlong
I lost it when I read that.
Dhina thable
altamet supplies ready for it.. ahh yes wait until it happens in your pocket you have it.
Hahah thanks for the support~
Dammit Mimzyyyyyyyy
I thought it was amplified and had a guitar sound. ULTIMATE SURPRISE? HAHA!
This was not my childhood fantasy..
LOL
that voice killed me
what voice?hahahah
ultimate suprise x 2 lol
The most needless think ever!
Man ur voice makes me drowsy especially those chinese accent 😂😂
Come on guys, how would something with this short of a scale length produce notes? You'd need at least two feet. Real things like this exist, but they're two feet long (and expensive).
If you can't hear wether the string is well pressed or not, it's pointless. You need to hear the strings when you're fretting, if it is buzzing or muted you're doing it wrong, this device will only help you to know where to put your fingers, but from that to doing it right it's a long way
Ohhh, who lives in the pineapple plays silent guitar?
worthless without hearing what your fingers are doing
Not so. As a beginner, there are a lot of chords to learn. Even if my technique isn't the greatest, I can still learn the basic chord shape and fingerings as well as transitions. I can adjust when I get to my real guitar for fret buzz or improper hand position. @@broderp If you can't hear it you are not learning it properly. This method will make you lose a lot of time
So it hasn't sound??
Josias Pereira yes, no sound
This weird "musical device" has to have been made by the narrator. All those tongue/lip smacking and guttural sounds NOT being edited away gives me a hint to believe that.
Ur vidio is kottaa suda
I use my scale instant of this shit :)
0:49 sounds like he is laughing
hahaha, maybe he is deeply indulged in the music.
Cool idea but utterly utterly useless if you can't strum the bloody thing!
Also, brilliant voiceover work....
This guy kind of sounds like the narrator from SpongeBob SquarePants.
I thought it would make noise
Are you the narrator on SpongeBob?
like zombies voice
It's kinda disappointing because there's no sound and I also brought it
At least have a feature where if you plug an earphone it would have sound!
This is just a waste of money. You would already give you fingers the exercise they need while playing a real guitar.
It is a cool thing, designed purely for practising chord shapes. It is not a musical instrument. It is a wonderful idea.
I hope they paid you to say that....
creo que no sirve para nada si no suena y no se puede usar la mano derecha
Still waiting for ultimate surprise....waiting...waiting........and....zzzzzzz
I believe the voice sounds like he hates his work.
Cut a 2x4 to the length of 5 inches, attach six old strings to it? hmmm...
¿Cómo sabes si estás pulsando correctamente? No tiene sonido. No tiene sentido.
Why is the narrator laughing at 0:52
lol I could make it on my own easily
NOT A POCKET GUITAR!
ITS A CHORD PRACTICE TOOL
EPIC FAIL
no sound ' ?
can you hear what you practice????????????///////
whiteflag no.pointless.
Well I seen it all now ffs
