      True, but is there nothing specially designed for that purpose in your area? Here you can have some sort of homerescue system. I got the watch 4 40mm lte and it's quite the upgrade from my Garmin Vivomove HR. The downside is the battery life. Best I've managed is slightly over 30 hours without doing much. Working out and listening to music sans phone is very practical, but an hour and the battery will drop 40% easily. • @Tigerman55
    @Tigerman55 Před 2 lety +1

    One sacrifice I want to point out is that you are relying on Samsung pushing updates to your carrier. This can be a problem if there is a bug in the most recent update. What you need to do is reset your watch in that case, download and install updates one at a time up to the bugged update and stop. Turn on developer mode and disable software update notifications. With the Bluetooth watch because you can get firmware updates near instantly, you don't really have to worry about this so much. I think it is worth the sacrifice with the LTE version, but just something to note if you always want to be on the bleeding edge.
    EDIT: this only works for about a week or two and then it forces you to update.. That is unfortunately a big flaw with their LTE line. Hopefully one day they are able to improve the update lifecycle for their lte watches.

And in the UK you are required to have the same network for both your phone and the esim. ie it then becomes paired. and ofc in the UK still have to pay a separate charge for this for EE it is £7 a month. but like i said even though the watch has its own esim. it still connects to your main phone you originally paired it up with either via wifi /Bluetooth or lte.Keep up the great work

    🙂I just saw this video, after your short for the Watch 6 hehe On my Watch 4, I have a seperate phone number from my phone. I got my "Watch number" back when I had my Samsung Gear S. (I still have my Gear S, I still like the bigger display on it and would add it on my plan too, but sometimes it freezes and I have to reset it. I need to send it back to Samsung and see if they can refurbish it) Back then, you added your watch as an add on for another 10$(US) a month and you had it's own number, but the watch/phone had a setting that when your phone was out of Bluetooth range all calls from your phone would be sent to your watch. Starting with the Watch 4 this setting was dropped. Now to get call forwarding to your watch it has to have the same number and set up on your phone. I still like to have my seperate watch number. I really like the LTE model, and I do call from it occasionally. In order to call from it with it's number, I have to disconnect from the Bluetooth, then call. Anyway, great videos!!! Take care!!! ~~~ Norris

My device had a screen issue: image retention. On forums people suggested that in this case I should return it, as most people don't have this issue. I returned it and I need to wait for 2 weeks for the money to arrive...
    Meanwhile, I decided that I will order the BT version from another store. The reason why the BT version is that it is 30€ cheaper and I have a Mi Band 4 and some dumb watches that I still use today, and these cannot make emergency calls. Great no BS and down to earth review! Thank you! Can you please confirm that you have the same number on both phone and watch and if so is the phone eSIM? I am with t-mobile in Czechia and here they have eSIM for one use (activation of only 1 device) and so same number can not be on phone and watch. They do offer so-called twin SIM with same number for 2 devices (even though only one can be registered live in the system at any time), but not eSIM... I find it interesting that they can do same number for Apple phone and watch, but not for Samsung and they claim, that it is a limitation of the chipset used in Samsung, but I think it is their mobile system that is limited...Apparently t-mobile Germany can do this so once again the Germans rule and we are ages behind

    Was very excited for my watch but the battery is nothing to brag about. 46mm LTE, I am not getting a day. I don't use AOD or many battery draining features. A huge let down compared to my Fitbit Sense and Ticwatch Pro 3. Other than that... love it. Watch faces are nice and health features are robust. Play Store is also very welcomed.

    The coverage is great, but the arguments to go for LTE over Bluetooth are not worth it. Accudents, going into the mountain without my phone, going on a bike ride? If I have to choose between taking a phone or a watch for a trip there is no discussion... No reason for me for all that extra money... and battery, by the way.

    Galaxy Watch 4 Active - still waiting even though pre-ordered - should arrive by Sept 15 :$ , on my old Active 2 watch I had LTE - for Verizon I had to add a $10/month share plan to get it working , so I assume the same for Active 4 - I ended up getting rid of the plan because I typically carry my phone with me everywhere and now with the smaller Flip3 - it will be easier to carry . I did like the idea of not carrying my phone - i just never seemed to be in that situation . . . and I don't do any gardening work so I should be okay. But I agree with you - $10 is definitely worth it from a safety aspect

    I just have one question, please. I don't really want to get the LTE version, so I wanted to know what is the approximate distance that is covered by the Bluetooth. Let's say I'm running around the house, do I have to have my phone close by or can it be a good distance away? The reason I'm asking is that with my Galaxy Buds + the coverage is not great, perhaps 5m.
    Thank you 😊 and have an awesome day 🙌🏻

And we compare our sleep each morning. The first 2 or 3 nights I was sleeping just above 5 hours a night.. last night I slept almost 9 hours because I was so aware of how bad I was sleeping. The battery life is about a day and a half if I bearly go out. But while at work with all my walking and gps tracking, it seems to die significantly faster.. maybe 24 hours. Wich is enough. But the charging rate isn't good takes almost 2 hours to charge.. just like my phone. (46mm)
