    Wow! You have the best by far balcony veggie garden I've ever seen. More veggies than I've ever seen for a small balcony. You have an amazing green thumb. Your container veggies are perfect. I'm surprised you haven't worked in a few sweet 🌽 corn plants. Great video!

      @@MindfulLivingA Yes, just shake the plants at pollination time mainly in the mornings and that cloud of yellow dust will fall on the silks. It will be available for about 5 ish days or so. Doesn't matter if you have one plant or several. My tip but you probably already knew this. New subscriber.

    Those blue containers for lettuce are great. They look very sturdy. Do you mind sharing where you got them?

    • @MindfulLivingA
      @MindfulLivingA  Před 2 měsíci +1

      I got them from the dollar store actually, about four years ago now, and they were quite inexpensive! I’d check out your local dollar store or gardening centres as I’m sure they sell something similar 😊

    I am so very happy to fine a video that answers all of my questions at once. Thank you so much. The last thing I need to know is, would you cover your plants to keep the pests from getting to them? I want to cover them all.

    • @MindfulLivingA
      @MindfulLivingA  Před měsícem +2

      Hi there! I have covered seedlings with shade cloth in the evenings/night time to prevent squirrels from digging up my young plants when I’m not in my garden. Once the plants are more mature I take it off, but do whatever works for you! Just make sure not to cover them all the time as they won’t receive as much sunlight.

      Great job. I have a similar balcony like your but mine only receives 4/5 hours of sunlight 😢. Also I lind in the West of UK. So we hardly get any good long day summers. How much sunlight do you get everyday on your balcony?

    • @MindfulLivingA
      @MindfulLivingA  Před rokem +1

      @@BalconyGardenUK my balcony receives about 6-8 hours a day, but it depends on which part of the balcony. It changes throughout the day and some areas only receive 3-4 hours.

    what if you have a balcony that has no cover or canopy so in the summer it get really hot, or rain a lot and in the winter is just too way to cold for plant to grow. I just can't grown any thing, even in door my kitchen windows not open on the side but open out wards is so frustrated, I do love plant I just can't grown any thing.

    • @MindfulLivingA
      @MindfulLivingA  Před měsícem +1

      Hi there! My balcony doesn’t have a cover or canopy either and temps can get to 95-100 degrees Fahrenheit and above at times, it is often hotter on my balcony since I am on the third floor in direct sun and heat rises. Opt for heat-loving plants like peppers, tomatoes, and eggplant and cover them with shade cloth on days when temps are super high. Also, apply mulch around your plants to regulate the soil temperature and water in the early mornings so your plants are ready to endure the heat! 🔥

    at winter what kind of veggies and fruits you do?

    • @MindfulLivingA
      @MindfulLivingA  Před měsícem +1

      I’m located in Canada and unfortunately the winter here is too cold for me to grow anything outdoors, but I typically grow indoors using hydroponics during the colder months!
