I've got the same bike in my garage right now (Yellow). My dad bought it in 79. 4100 miles on it.
It sat in his pole barn for 30 years.
I got it home, went through everything, and it runs like a champ.....
Tires are very hard to find and Expensive!!! Hope you don't have to buy one of those anytime soon...

I recently got some from bridgestone in japan took 2 months to arrive and not cheap.
It’s the bracket for an extra fuel tank. A small round can went in there. Here in Europe that bracket with the tank goes for as much as you paid for the bike! €950 was the asking price for the last one I saw. Came with a leather case for the tank, the tank itself and the bracket. Good purchase mate!

iv got the 1974 model. my brother bought it because we had an rv90 growing up. bought it from him and now more that $500 into the engine alone with a trusted mechanic. its worth it to me but shows how good a deal you got. awesome.
joe flem Hey, I appreciate the feed back. They are great bikes and definitely worth keeping the running. I have been keeping my eye out for a RV90 to add to the collection. They don’t come up very often.

Haha, it was a good deal. I still own it to this day. Been a little over 3 years and still talk to the guy I got it from.
Looks like a bracket for a reserve fuel tank...great bikes...got 2 1973 models.

Would take this over a tw200 or fat cat anyday, same engine as the Suzuki tc125 with the high/low range trans. Goofy but still very cool machine 👌
I agree, I have had the Fatcat, BW200 and BW350 and this is the only one I have held on to. Smooth easy ride.
It's a holder for water cantina. Some of the old trail bikes had water storage spots for long back country riding

This is ANOTHER bike inhad only I had the RV 90 - it had one fatal flaw and it was the automixer and because the way it was built into the carb you couldn’t just mix the gas with out modifying it - fun to ride juet looks really goofy with no tank
They are goofy looking bikes but such a fun bike to ride. I have yet to own a 90, but hope to one day. Yes the automixer is the downside.

I just grabbed a 1974 today with 2900 miles on it. Pretty much complete but doesn’t have a spark. How do you like these compared to the old honda’s? Should I clean it up and sell mine or is it worth keeping it in the collection?
rippinmachines I have tons of Honda’s but this is one of my favorite bikes to ride. I say clean it up and keep it!

Good question. Im sure someone out there has tried it. I am not sure if it would work.
