Wish I could appreciate the jokes over the endless shrill of cheering. For every 1 second of Lydic speaking, there's 6 seconds of screaming and clapter, which is hard to navigate when CZcams advances in 5 second intervals (10 on mobile I think). Every time I hit the right arrow to skip the clapter, I skip over her next sentence and straight into the next mess of clapter.

I say this with no shade thrown. I LOVE seeing how Harris taking over has both rejuvenated the party, and given the Daily Show moxie when we ALL needed it most.

The metaphor everyone is using of "building a 747 in the air" seems quite apt. And now she's leading nationally and in most every swing state? And putting new states into play? And giving Democrats a kind of hope and optimism we haven't had since 2008? Pretty incredible honestly...

I think part of the reason Desi Lydic feels so natural on The Daily Show is that she has her own charming set of mannerisms that nonverbally editorialize the moments between lines, like 5:33, and this was also one of the things that made Jon Stewart great at the job.

Disagree. All the staff hosts seem to me like they're character acting hosts, unlike Jon who always seemed more natural and confirtable. Roy Wood was the only staff host I've seen who looked like he was really comfortable and easy like Jon.

I think part of the reason Desi Lydic feels so natural on The Daily Show is that she has her own charming set of mannerisms that nonverbally editorialize the moments between lines, like 5:33, and this was also one of the things that made Jon Stewart great at the job.
