Struggle of a longtime Ghostie: Trying to explain your excitement and knowledge of Branson to your brother and his Iowan girlfriend when they tell you she’s going on family vacation there. Especially when you ask if they are going to the Dixie Stampede or Silver Dollar City. I’m from California.
Haha! My mom went to Branson with her siblings about 15 years ago & her version sounded pretty lame. But now that I’ve heard Brad & Jake talk about it so much I really hope they do a Ghostie trip there so we can experience their version of it!😀
speaking of task rabbit… my husband & i were attempting to hang bookshelves & had probably the biggest fight in our entire marriage that ended with us both needing to go on a walk separately. After that, i told him about task rabbit & he said “i think for the sake of our marriage we should do that next time.” also just icing on the cake, the bookshelves fell off the wall later that night so we’ll definitely be using task rabbit soon

Plane was spraying out for mosquitoes. This time of year I’ve seen this happen. They used to spray out of trucks would drive around in cities, but they’re able to cover more ground and quicker from planes.

My husband, who is a musician, could have a soundtrack playing at all times. I always tell him it feels chaotic to me. It feels really crazy, specifically when we are hosting people or trying to be productive. My kids have adopted his love for music playing in all situations. My daughter wants to listen to classical music while doing math! What the heck?

I hate that I am about to give you a lecture on music theory when this is literally a comedy podcast but i'm a high school music teacher and Brad was talking about the Nashville number system and I love it so much so I'm going to explain it lol:
In the key of C major, it goes CDEFGAB and those letters are numbered 1-7, C being 1, D being 2 and so on. If I wanted the chords C F G I could substitute referring to the letters with the number they coincide with: 1 4 5. Now, let's say I want to play a song with those chords but not in the key of C major. I could choose which ever key I want and then take numbers 1 4 and 5 and it will sound the same. So 1 4 5 in the key of G major would be G C D and, while those are totally different chords, they would have the same general sound so you could still play my song and recognize it, just a bit higher or lower. Any music theory nerds out there want to explain that better because I feel like that was confusing & and I have a baby in my arms actively fighting me while I'm typing this so this isn't my best.

Brad- try taking the pedals off of her bike. That was the only way my second son was able to learn and he was 8. Have her do it that way independently for a few weeks which will help her learn to balance. I also highly recommend a balance bike for your other kids to learn.
