I love the intro just goes "Hello my name is Mike Patton" and then in like 2 seconds we're blasted with covers of all his greatest works.
Straight to the point - good job editor person.
The man is a music genius.
We are lucky to have experienced Mike Patton, first hand.
None of what he said surprises me. This man goes beyond genius, he's simply incredible. And that's an understatement.
he would not be impressed by this comment. not being a dick
God he’s so attractive
Thank you.
It was really weird not having to read between the lines of his sarcasm! ;) Great video!
Mike Patton is a fucking genius. Period.
This guy knows exactly what he is talking about.
He's true musician, i'm proud of him.
his voice ....... love it
Yaya Fuentes ya ya
What a legend! Viva la Patton
I really don't know why I watch this every day but I love it
Not only is he one of the best singers ever but is also well-spoken..I'm a little concerned about his "Fisher Price Toy" hoarding problem though...
He doesnt blink. Major red flag.
@@davidbanner6100
He inks more than three times in the video.
That "toy" problem gave us Suspended Animation. Don't knock it.
Save your concern. When you've done what he's done and when you've accomplished 1/100,000,000th of what he has, then you can be "concerned."
@@MichaelGrubbEvolvedMinistry, and now I'm "concerned" that you actually can't realize when something is a joke. Have a good one and lighten up.
This album is a total piece of art in my Patton's collection CD.
Mike and Les Claypool should both start a band together. They are without a doubt 2 of the best musicians in the world.
Agreed!!!!!
Yeah they seem to be cut from the same cloth
that's a great idea
who needs les claypool when you've got trevor dunn as your best friend who is one of the greatest bass players on the planet.. and bill gould.. two of the finest bassists in music history are mike pattons best friends and band mates..
les is an incredible guitarist...in fact faith no more wore -primus t shirts in the past... i think mike should try something like that! i love mike's voice range i love his style too...i watched primus LIVE on youtube from the 90s it was a thing called videoplasty its an incredible watch...his tommy the cat in that show was the best live version of the song ever
Wow what a dude!!
Been a major fan since I was 13 years old, and still am.
Faith no more rock and are totally timeless.....they sound just as good now, as they did then! Blasting it out my car window on a hot day is so therapeutic.....it's strange because when I was 13, I didn't think I'd be blasting it out my car when I was older..... I'm now 38!!
And they are still in my top 5! 💀👍
Mike's got a good ear and if I'm honest, one of my favourite vocalists of all time. I'd love to have one hour with him one day, and have a jam to
' land of sunshine ' or 'gentle art of making enemies'...👍💜 That would be awesome.....
So Mike if you ever read this (which I doubt) but I'm ready when you are!Patton, your a great singer man - keep it up
Peace, love, empathy

38!! Wow, I've never met a 38 year old, but I think I saw one once on TV. They had to use infra red, time lapse photography to fully document the rare primal being. I never realised at the time the monumental significance of this moment, to actually meet an eight plus three decades year old must be a life's crowning achievement. And behold, now I'm commenting on one's of them's original work!
Little baby Jesus, pinch me!)))
I’m a couple of years older than you but.. same girl! SAME!
@@andrewlockett4569 Met who hah ha?? You haven't 'met' them, they or whoever your ranting about and I know that because your comment say's so. And doesn't really make sense.
In your own word's, you "commented" on the person in question (who's 38 yes?) You didn't specify who the 38 yr old was.
If it was I, at the time I posted the comment, I was indeed 38 yrs young.....but you did not press 'reply' to me directly so it's open to suggestion who your on about; is it not? But because your words follow my comment, it looks like your attempting a reply to me? No? If not no worries. If so, try pressing reply button to make to more direct dude. Cheers.
Huge difference between 'meeting' someone and 'commenting' at someone's comment though....just saying 👌😁
@@kali7906 Nice. Still lovin' it too. Don't understand the haters on this comment feed though. Why watch or bother to comment if you really are that affected by it. Anyway....yep like your style dude 👌
Damn Patton is brilliant! Everything he touches is gold.
HE IS THE MAN!!!!!!
Lol "a series of hieroglyphics".
I love Mike Patton.
YOU ARE A EXAMPLE OF A FREE GUY WITH FREE MAGINATION, USE IN WHAT YOULIKE IT
Patton has a sidstation. Neat. For those who dont know, it's a synth wrapped around the soundchip out of the commodore 64.
The music from crank is amazing. Mike Patton rules
Similar to Trent Reznor and his process, observations. Sound is art
This guy never stops to surprise me! Using toy instruments? What a genious!
Patton is amazing!!
I love the way he thinks of sounds as much as music
Mr. Patton is a great man.
mike patton did crank's music? fuck man this is amazing.
I just say it once again. He's got reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaly beautiful speaking voice.
the Crank 2 soundtrack is fucking sweet.
Very well put,let the worship begin!!!
Anybody else notice he hasn't aged? I've listened to Faith No More since I was 15 years old and somehow i now look older than Michael Patton. Haha wtf?
deepcreep98 I didn’t notice till you said this. Same here. 15. I think I wouldn’t noticed if he looked old. But now that you mention it... what the fu....?
he doesn’t drink or do drugs
@@Jellybeantiger I've drank with him at a Bungle show, and he continued drinking on stage.
@@spikeybug1 Well there you go (John Cleese voice).
Until like 2 years ago when he got fat,.. but has since started to go back to a healthier look
yes he lives in san francisco
my mom ran into him at whole foods haha
Wow, I had no idea he did this....
Mike Patton is the GOAT. Period
Браво Паттон!
Loving this. Gonna take a leaf for my music. Thanks for uploading!
I luv Michael Allan Patton-ur a fuckin' beautiful genius baby :)
It is great to see an interview with Mike Patton. I have always been a fan of his work with Faith No More, in particular his vocal work on 'The Real Thing" (the song). He is very down to earth and this is a great insight into his songwriting methods.
Patton is a vampire. He looks younger here than he did a year ago lol
Hmm, I'm watching this video after watching the interviews from Angel Dust in 1992/93.
He sure got his teeth fixed.
a very fun soundtrack album - stands on its own .
I've been loving FNM since I was 14 back in 1998 when I first heard 'Midlife Crisis'. I was instantly obsessed with the 'Who cares a lot' album, I literally used to watch the Who cares a lot VHS and while that was rewinding (lol old skool), I'd listen to the same album. I'm a huge fan. Seen them 3 x brixton and hopefully I can bag a ticket for 2022 in London. I ❤ Mike. Seriously gorgeous and such a genius. The whole band r just the best.
best record
im glad hes music is that amazing it became part of crank im happy for that :D
I didn't want to see Crank 2; now I want to. Patton is god!
Whooo hoo, love his man. He's my idol 👌⭐
Absolute zero was a beast of a song , fuckin love that one ▶️⏪▶️
Heh I've done that too- sang to my answer phone to keep an idea! awesome!
Genius!!!
mike patton rocks
aww....i love mike patton
Patton was not insulting the style of music. He was insulting the band Wolfmother, who are ripping off the sound of 70's rock. So the question here is who is being more respectful? Personally I have much more respect for an artist who takes risks and fails then an artist that just recycles/rips off other bands so obviously. Rock and roll has always represented rebellion. WIth that in mind, who is more rock n roll? Follow the logic?
Joshua Boden 16 is a tough age
Bungle remind me of Zappa....
Patton should generally leave alot more unsaid.
maestro
@LakeshoreRecords No I didn't. I just simply wrote a note next to every free links that You must buy the album because of the respect for the musician and because its a much better experience to open a new album and read it, see the pictures in it and enjoy the typo, the smell, or to keep a real piece of art in your hands, than just download it.
@Speedfreak333 but did you offer ANY buy links at all? we dont see any...
i've always wondered what mike pattons home looks like.. this is probably as close as i'll ever know..
If Patton didn't have facial hair, he'd still look like the Patton from the Angel Dust days. This guy never ages.
CRANK IT UP
This man is a genius. Several times over.
There are limited people that God blessed with more talent than others. Sometimes those people are a little strange. Sometimes those people are a guy like Mike Patton.
MIKE IS A PRO
Haha... watched that doc where he and Mr Bungle performed a show as Red Hot Chili Peppers... I did not know that story, but hilarious...
Crank 2's soundtrack is possibly my favorite of any movie. Yeah sure orchestras are nice, but nothing can reach the energy level of Crank 2's soundtrack
This should be a half hour long.
@thothrespa You are right! Thanks for watching. :)
legend
Man, he's got a STYLOPHONE aww!
good point speedfreak, sometimes a sample is required to see if it appeals. or sometimes this sort of under the radar music can only be ordered from overseas by some independent music store and usually costs half of my weekly wage. Most of the time it isn't readily available to me unless I download it. Poor people like music too!
wow. he is a genius.
hes the man
Quite simply the man is a modern day motzart there is no other way to describe him.
A huge talent indeed. Toys? I would not know where to start jesus!!!!!!!!
i was thinking that minutes ago!
I don't get the people who call him a god nor self important. To me, he seems like a genius with both feet on the ground.
Mike Patton isn't Jewish. He said that his father is 100% Anglo and his mother is Finnish.
Genius
2:18 lol
Patton's soundtrack is the best thing about Crank 2, and that's not saying much.
The 4th dimension uses him as an instrument to lead you back
ХАХХАХАХАХ GOOD ONE
Hahahaha
that shirt looks like its from the 70s mike what year are we in
you said it!!! \m/
I always thought he would live in his car
And just for the record I love Jimi Hendrix, Led Zep, Blue Cheer, Sabbath, Steppen Wolf, and lots of classic rock. I just happen to think that Wolf Mother is derivative.
@johnsull66
Quite possibly. He was rocking a Roland DJ70 mkII ( proto groove sampler type keyboard) from '96 well into the '00s and I wouldn't doubt that he still rocks that thang to this day. Whatever works for you to get the ideas out of your head and into sound I guess. There are still folks making badass tracks w/ Ataris (and not just chiptunes guys either.
That said I would kill a baby to spend a couple weeks showing him the joys of Ableton.
"Crank" was so bad I couldn't finish it. My girlfriend and I just fastforwarded through almost the whole thing because we were so embarrassed, and we both love unconventional films. It's a bit disappointing that Patton is associated with the sequel, but he's so good that it doesn't matter.
now i have to watch Crank 2
@AcousticHitsSongs Posted that from wrong CZcams account
@dortyhoor he's not gay. he's divorced. he was on loveline talking about it a year or two ago. he was married to some italian girl.
@BenCrocker yes
Hey does anyone know what all the pieces of music thorughout this video are titled starting from the first piece of music where it shows the lakeshore icon??
Anyone knows what is the tune at 3:18 ? is it from Crank soundtrack?
i agree x10
fucking genious.
Hobart, IN
Did he do any writing for FNM?
i need the song at 2:15 ill have the whole thing if i just get that
@xDiscipleOfTheWatchx Thanks !! I don't have lunch money 'cause of my music addiction :D
i am legend , or rather , mike is
Home
Exactly. Led Zeppelin has been around since the 60's. There is a massive treasure trove of that kind of sound out there right now. We don't need Wolfmother adding more of the same to the pile. It's completely redundant and unnecessary.
We need new sounds. Wolfmother is just regurgitating existing sound.
EricLeafericson not like greta van fleet 😆😆😆
it's music
Tesudo!
@missuscramer amen to that brother!!!
