- After searching for a few years I finally have found my brother whom was adopted out. I had tried many adoption websites but adopted.com was the one that led me to him.Meeting him was the best thing that has ever happened to me and I am so glad he is a part of my life now. It was a long and tough search but I did it. Never give up on the loved one you are searching for. All of your hard work and dedication will lead you to them. Good luck and God bless.

I was adopted when i was 3 years old but i stil remember that i have a sister she was my older sister after adopted i never see her and i am stil searching for my sister i hope one day i will find her

Met my sister on June 3, 2017 after 50 years. I never knew she existed until my daughter matched her DNA on Ancestry. She is 19 years older then me when I was adopted at birth. She had my birth pictures and a few from when my mother visited my adoptive parents when I was 3-4 months old. My birth mother had a photo album and my sister kept it all these years. We actually grew up living about 120 miles apart. Never give up hope and keep searching. My sister answered so many questions I've had for 50 years.

Update: It has been 4 amazing years since I found my brother. We have stayed in touch and have a close bond. He has met his biological family and I have met his adoptive family. Eventually we may have an update video. He was a groomsman in my wedding and apart of every big event in my life and I have been in his. I am always thankful for finding him while we are still young. Not many people have that opportunity. It still feels like it was yesterday and I look forward to the many years to come. I pray for everyone out their looking for their family, that they find them soon. God bless.

No, this is not fake. As soon as I knew my brother turned 18 I started searching everywhere I possibly could! Laws in my state are very strict and you are left to pretty much fend for yourself. There isn't an ounce of fake in this. Our relationship is strong as any sister and brother relationship could be. Finding him completed me 100 percent. I would give my life for him. I thought by sharing our story may give hope and piece of mind to others that are going through this tough stage in their own life. I wish and pray nothing but the best that see this. I hope that they find as much joy and love in finding their own sibling, parent, relative as I did. I hope that answers your question...

+Mike Scofield when he turned 18 I started looking for him, since he became an adult. I didn't find him until he was 20. he was given up at birth.I'm 5 years older than him. this also was posted a couple years ago too. It saddens me that you would believe this is fake. if that is what you believe I can't change that. Have a great day.

When I was 12 my dad finally told me that i had an older 17 year old sister so i know how incredible that must have felt meeting your sibling for the first time. It so hard to imagine life without her now :)

I found my sister but she told me there lives are made out and to her and her brother it's only them two and no one else it hurt so bad I cried so much but I kept it inside

Thank God you found each other! When I was in my late 30's I heard a rumour that I had a sister in Germany (being a product of two people who were married before). I asked my mom about it. She knew but didn't know any details. My father never wanted to speak of it. So I never met her and now it's way too late. I am thankful that at least some folks get there dreams to come true.

I have 2 wonderful kids, one a son 46 and a daughter 44, she was taken at birth thanks to the welfare(social services). She was born April 6th, 1971, found us, her birth parents, 21 years later. been close ever since. I am close to her adoptive parents. It's been a special relationship ever since. June 12th, 1992 I will never forget that day, when my daughter Angi found us. She met her brother 2 months later, August 22nd,1992. I got to meet her adoptive parents December 18th, 1992.

Every situation like this is unique so I am glad you at least took the time to find him and make him feel wanted. its very hard, after meeting my sister after 10 years i started crying now i am 13 years old ,i saw her last when i was 3 years old.I was very happy as i remember that how we used to play and now i just hugged her and cried

I have an older brother who is 30 years old. I haven't seen him in 13 years. Doesn't talk to me or anyone in my family. He's basically gone. He's alive but gone from anyway of communicating with him.
This kind of thing is about to happen to me. This June 6 of 2015 i will finally be able to meet my half sister that i havnt met since birth. Been searching for her in 6 years, and every single bit of effort and patience will all be worth it. Praise God

I'm 21 now she's 22 and my brother is 26 or 27 I don't know why they hate me so much my dad was never there for me out of 21 years they have always had him I learned how to be a man by myself I learned how to fish, hunt, cook, and to survive by myself I should be the one with hate and anger but I spent hours, day, weeks, and months looking for them and for her just to tell me there never going to consider me as a brother
Dude, I now what you mean. I don't talk to my family either, they were so negligent with me when I was a kid. My dad was like a decoration in my house, and my mom was like his servent. So I left home when I was 17 years old because It was too much for me.

Feels like this will be me but not anytime soon,I haven't seen my sister for over 9 years and it kills me because she was my favourite and we got along like a house on fire and unfortunately drugs came into the picture and she chose a hippy life style and was basically brain washed into believing mum and dad were a vessel that bought her into this world and they are just their names and not mum and dad..sad....she doesn't contact anyone and I have a clue where she is and will one day go see her and hopefully she feels the same as she also said I was the favourite brother who she was able to get along with and talk to without being judged...I love and miss her 😔

I havnt seen my step brother or step sister in 4 years (I have only visited twice) they live in my home country, my mum and dad moved to Australia when I was three (I came with them and so did my little sister) and finally my step brother is coming to Australia in 6 weeks I'm so excited!! (Btw I was born in Switzerland and everyone of my family love there except for my mum dad little sister an me)

im 13 right now , when I was 5 my little brother got adopted out and I havnt saw him since I only have his first name and I try and search for him all the time but it never works. then when I was 7 my mum had another little boy and he got adopted out and I havnt saw him since I was 7 I know I cant meet them at least until they are 18 which is like 11 years away and I don't known what to do because there isn't a day that goes by where I don't wish they were here and I don't know how im going to get through these years I know this has so many comments so your probably not going to read this but if you do I think your so brave for getting through all of them years its only been 7 years since I saw mine and I don't know how much longer I can cope

Never take this for granted , I have a wonderful large family but sometimes we can be in the same room and extended family will ignore your presence and not speak . It bothers me how selfish people are with their actions and i have noticed it's getting worse . Life is too short .

I'm Originally from Ukraine, immigrated to Israel only with my Mother for a lot of reasons, even though we have no Jewish blood etc. Never kept with my father's family in touch since my mother never allowed me and never told me what's their surnames etc. I got a sister, 21 years old with a baby already (I'm 18, soon 19), my aunt, my grandmother. My father died due to some reasons that my sister wants to tell me when I'll come to Ukraine.
