  • Sadly in worship music, the acoustic guitar has become a glorified shaker & a security blanket for the Worship Leader that feels awkward without an instrument on stage.
But this instrument is capable of so much more than that! It all depends on how you approach it.
So we decided to invite the worship acoustic guitar legend, JP Gentile, to show us how he approaches playing acoustic in worship.
In Part 1, JP walks through different chord voicings & inversions. Then in Part 2, he covers why capos aren't a crutch & how he approaches his favorite alternate tuning.
We know everything that JP brings to the table in this series will spark creativity & a new love for playing acoustic guitar in worship. Click the link to watch part 2. worshiponline.com/worship-aco...

    Hi, that's awesome video!
Could you suggest, please regarding string action for Low E on 12th fret? Should it be 5/64(2mm) or higher - 6/64(2.3mm)?

you are very good at playing but when your showing how to play a chord there is no close up , so i cannot see the strings that you are using .... please zoom in with the camera so that we can see how to properly play the chord .... thank you

    Takeaways:
    -Eat more fats
-Play a guitar that is intonated
-Get rid of keyboard player and do the inversions yourself!
    -Less is more.
    Thank you sir! Cheers!🍻

I will not copy or cover anything by a fake bunch like them.
There’s a difference between performance and worship.
