I hope Shaun doesn't mind me asking you a question here, he seems to be a nice chap, in his own special way 😁 Anyway, for the past 3 years I have been growing spuds in containers following the method that you have shown and also Dan from Allotment Diaries. Whilst it has worked to a degree, the results have been less than dramatic. The potatoes have been on the small side and few in number. Would you say that they need more feed adding to the compost ? I put some pelleted slow release fertilizer in at planting time but should I be topping it up from time to time ? I've made some nettle tea which has been fermenting for about 9 months and we have loads of wood ash from the log burner. Have you any advice please ? Ps, I live in mid west France so summers can be warmer and longer then in Wales and we can't get blood fish and bone here, I've seen blood and corn but I've just used the local type made for spuds.
