Thanks for sharing this, have been looking for this footage for ages.
Went to the game with the 17 year old Spurs fan (now 59) who was interviewed before and after the game

Not shown in these highlights but you can hear it in the longer highlights- the Kop starting supporting Tottenham in the second half as was the ritual of humiliation back then

The place was full to see the reds start on the chase for another championship not for some spurs players believe me

Great video but can never understand why the last goal is always cut short. It starts with a Spurs corner and it builds from there. I have seen it once many years ago on a tape and it contains the full impact of the complete one pass moves from defending a corner. This version here loses a lot of the impact by cutting it short

Good question - it might depend on the source tape used. A lot of archive compilations from the 70s are edited down from the highlights shows rather than the full 90-minute match coverage, which probably doesn't help. You can always tell where this Liverpool v Tottenham game has been edited from, because the slow-motion replays were added in post-production (ie. the commentator didn't see them at the time), and Granada slotted one in very untidily between John Duncan's goalline clearance and the foul that led to the penalty, whereas LWT didn't for its Big Match edit.

Was this taken from the Liverpool Big Match DVD

Yes. I cropped on the Kick Off Match opening title sequence (the DVD has the Big Match one), and added a mock-up closing sequence.
