I think its a connection problem. it happened to me once. when he race started, I accelerated and crashed into the racer in front of me and I noticed non of the other racers were moving for about 5 seconds
thats not a glitch its a pure hacking... i faced one opponent in the lobby. first i thought its a glitch but the same thing was happening in every race. and when i was in little eagle speedrome with tha guy. i chased him like a hell and was right behind him and soon when he accelerated again and speed past me again and within a checkpoint he was ahead of me by 0.60 miles. that too within a checkpoint.
I'd take this with a pinch of salt. This has happened to me a couple of times. Randomly I could pull away before the timer was finished. of course I took advantage as anyone would. It only happened twice though on story missions and that was back when it first came out.

Annnd some of them try to "tactically" add just few points to the record but there's always this one kid who overdoes it. Thou either way, hackers are always annoying and I don't see any fun in it. It just ruins the whole world record system in this game and for the hacker it's no fun at all, just coding some score there to get record, is that fun..?

SidekickGamingUK Ubisoft confirmed that it's a hack abusing the cutscene or something like that, a connection issue would NOT allow the player to get a headstart like this one. To me it looks like hes using some sort of hack, cause nobody was able to catch up, and the end timer was higher than 30sec which doesnt normaly change. If you want to call it a connection isse i won't argue any further.

you guys looked very consistent all together it could be a connection error because the way the cars are the way you raced the way all the factors came togeather could be that you guys were just out of sync and you and him are dead even when it comes to skill level how ever through the turns you should have made some ground then lost it again so i see where both parties are coming from
He started 2 secs before the countdown and he is going faster then the cars usual speed definitely a hacker anyway what is the point of hacking it would make everything to easy
