The problem with the catholic church is that they're too obsessed with the religion and not with God. They're literally no different than the pharisees that came after Jesus. They're so concerned with obeying the letter of the law that they don't read the Bible to learn its lessons, just its laws. That's why people care so much about the pope when he dies. They see him as a stand in for God when he really isn't anything close to that.
I went to Catholic Schools and by the time I was done, I became a stronger and more religious Catholic. Proud of my Church's accomplishments and achievements throughout history. Deus Vult

All about Mormons is another great religion episode and be surprised if they didn't play apart in them making Book of Mormon Play. Part of reason SP got away with so much is because they use to air late night. There was a popular trend back then with late night shows being more risque or uncensored and could get away with more at late night time slot. Another major reason was comedy central loved the show and help cement their popularity so they have been grandfathered in. Similar to The Simpsons no matter how much they bad mouth Fox or its network saying stuff they might try cancel every where else they don't care because makes money and long history they have.

Dash, I'm Christian and I have zero problem with South Park. Lol. It is because they are equal opportunity offenders. And they ARE addressing a real problem... Some say it is blasphemy. I disagree. Have you seen the scene where Satan goes to talk to God? And God is this strange amalgam of a bunch of different creatures. In some ways that's the most respectful depiction of God I've ever seen. Because he's able to clarify something for Satan and you see that they aren't enemies they don't hate each other. A book you might want to look into is to Reign in Hell, by Brust. Also Murder Mysteries by Gaiman. Lord of Light by Zelazny. Also, The Last Question, by Asimov. I'm very different from the stereotype of christians. Both my parents are scientists, and I am a scientist as well. And yet we are christians, which we are told is not possible. But that's a Prejudice by the ignorant. If someone can demonstrate to me how my Christian faith in any way affects my observations or my test results, then I'd be interested. Ironically, if I were to get different results with an experiment that is well controlled, than someone who is not a Christian that in itself could be evidence. What it means to me is that intellectual honesty is an absolute requirement. Because to me studying science studying the physical world is studying the mind of God. And if I were to lie about observations, then I would be lying about god. Bearing false witness if you will. No I don't find South Park Blasphemous in the slightest. I find people misusing God's teachings and harming children to be blasphemous. South Park is just the jester in the corner pointing out what people don't want to see. And frankly I love the show for it.
Although I do have to admit that the amalgamated creature depiction of God they use does bear a fairly strong resemblance to one of the Gnostic depictions of the demiurge, I believe, @The Barking Mouse . It is hilarious because they show you how a group of 4 people do all the voices for the show; even 90% of the celebrities, but there was one point where the editor speaks about how she has a close working relationship with the censor department at Comedy Central and how they give South Park more lee-way because it has always been this controversial. To answer your question on how they get way with putting these episodes out, I believe there's a bill of rights that protects them from getting into trouble. I think it's called freedom of expression as well as freedom of speech. Also, they don't use the actual voices of the celebrities, so that's legal. They are allowed to use public figures and companies in a parody, legally without fear of reprisals. Now, if they use a celebrity or company and actually claim something that's not true, that's illegal. So they likely nudt have someone fact check the crap out of the script before they record any lines. Also, I thought this episode was very well done. Them pooping out of their mouths made me want to vomit but that's probably everyone I assume. Anyhow, if been watching your content the last couple of days and have enjoyed it so you have earned yourself a subscriber👍 have a wonderful rest of your day sir

The Gelgemak Catholics is so out of place but so funny.
I love the shirt dash is wearing
This episode made my mom avoid South Park. Then I told her she totally missed the point of the episode and so I told her it, and she was actually impressed. Maybe I could get her to watch some episodes with me.
