Monty Williams was only 52 which is only 7 years older. I think it is more about the coaches style and ability to work with players who are developing or not.
Is there a right answer for this piston franchise
Lol, that's a good question. I would just like to see us open up the wallet for some other players and stop letting people walk away with money that we could use today. We had that awful Josh Smith deal, Blake Griffin deal, now we still owe Monty... We're like a money grab depot for players and coaches. I think the organization was not realistic with Monty. They gave him a handful of young undeveloped talent with no real leadership. I hope the addition of THJr and Tobias bring that back.
Stan van gundy wasn’t the last time we were in the playoffs
The last time the Pistons made the playoffs was with Casey as HC.
0:40. This is why the Weaver firing was bogus to me. He didn't want the coach, but ownership did. Then ownership agrees the cosch was so bad that they fired him a year after giving him a massive contract, yet they still fire Weaver. It's sending mixed signals and it looks like Weaver got the axe unfairly.
Totally agree
