Installing the Timney Trigger for the Glocks Gen 3/4. The gray return spring yielded unsatisfactory results when attempting to cycle the trigger assembly, so I placed in the Red return spring and had great success, yes.
I believe the red spring is only for after market connectors and the regular spring is for stock connectors. Timney's are so finicky that they could never be used for an EDC like an Apex.
I had this exact same problem at a competition recently. I had to "wiggle" the gun to get the trigger to reset and it looked like I was anticipating the next shot which I then had to explain what was going on to the range officer. Swapped out the spring just like in the video and did way better the rest of the competition.
Great clip, for me the hardest part was the L spring. seems to be running fine now. I used the regular L spring.
I know you love this trigger. This same trigger made my Glock 23 easier to shoot. I love it. Your gun won’t move much when you squeeze the trigger
My red dori g dosent fit in the hole on the trigger shoe like something is jammed in there or it dosent go all the way through
I was hoping there was another fix besides using the red spring. I’m already using the red spring and still having issues resetting.
Dan D are you using any type of aftermarket recoil spring in your set up? Not sure if a lighter spring would cause the slide to not seat back into battery or not, but I'm running just the standard Glock OEM spring. The actual trigger reset is still kind of mushy on my set up, but so far no battery issues yet. Timney did just release an aftermarket firing pin and connector specific for these triggers. I'll have a video up in a few days testing it out. Just received it in the mail 3 days ago.
@@MatSuPewPew907 my slide is all OEM Glock. I need to look at the connector I think. Thanks for the reply, I look forward to the new video
Look like you have trigger bar drag. I have a glock19 gen 4 with dot connector and the trigger pull is 2lbs 4oz to 2 lb 8 oz with the silver spring and no reset issues. Firing pin spring is stock. Everything is highly polished.
What magwell did you use with back strap?
Its just a standard Magpull Glock Mag well.
Thank you
you also failed to grease the trigger bar to connector contact point
Is this something Timney recommends? I can't seem to find any mention of needing to grease the trigger bar and connector on their websites or forums. I've always polished the contact points and steered away from grease as it just aids in the collection of lead, powder and dust especially in a "performance trigger" like the Timney. When I clean my pistol, all metal to metal contact points to get a dab of lubricant but nothing more. If you find an article from Timney about greasing the trigger parts, please share it! Or if greasing the connector and bar is just a personal opinion, then thanks for sharing!

I have a gun you can practice on. And if you do a gooder job, I'll commission my Glock to you to do as well.
