One of the reasons Asa’s considered the ace is aside from being an insane rapper, great dancer and singer, is that she also writes and composes (and expressed interest in producing as well), and she actually received credit on Batter Up, and throughout the LE and in her intro she was complimented for her songwriting. This version of hers (and I do think it was the song you were thinking of, she just changed it), 90% of the lyrics were actually in Korean, and shes also become noted for her perfect Korean pronunciation, even taking the fastest Korean raps, speeding them up, and keeping that pronunciation - its noted bc she’s Japanese, and some K-netz are biased against Japanese idols, pointing out flaws in pronunciation and or flaws in singing (theres a small group of ppl who think that female Japanese idols aren’t good at singing), but many have admitted that Asa is changing their biases, with some saying she speaks better Korean than they do.
Rora’s tone and also her use of emotions is insane, for a 14 year old (shes 15 now). Her deep understanding of emotions is really what makes her songs stick out as she studies the og artist and their performances, plus the meanings behind the lyrics. She was actually in a kids group and appeared on some TV shows, and YG actually recruited her.
When YG said he felt at peace when he heard her voice, I think thats such an accurate description of her vocals. Shes often compared to a disney princess (so you’re spot on!!!) very elegant, etc and her voice and visual goes along with that (she was actually an awarded model back in Thailand before she came to YG). She’s also the best English speaker of the group, as she went to an international school (princess pear is apparently rich rich too). Lisa kinda adopted her when she first came to Thailand, and now their families are very close, like spent the holidays together and when the girls went to Thailand for their fanmeet, Lisa’s mom came with hers to support her.
Ruka was very much born with YG DNA in her blood, and while Asa’s considered the machine-gun rapper, Ruka is the swag rapper, and the two go so well together. Ruka actually does have charismatic vocals, and during stuck in the middle, she and Asa were actually the ones who went back and forth on the “my love my love my love my love” part. Also during LE, the girls did a cover of Dont Know What To Do, and you can hear her sing a bit and it sounded nice.
And I assumed I’ve said this before but (as we know) Ahyeon can rap, Chiquita is learning, Rami has shown she can also rap, and Rora and Pharita have shown potential, and Ruka can sing - and thats partly why they dont have positions, bc YG knows they have the potential to do everything even just as an individual and he wants to give them the space to do so. Ruka and Asa are technically considered the best dancers, but Rami, Chiquita, Ahyeon are also right there, Rora’s very good, and Pharita’s improved incredibly much. Also they are all so stunning so there is no official visual, although fans tend to consider Pharita and Rora (the princess duo) as the mains, plus YG remarked on Pharita’s visuals, which has lent itself to that general opinion - but again there is no official. Pharita and Rora are also considered the main communicators of the group (Pharita for English/Thai, Rora Korean), but Ahyeon speaks Chinese, obviously Asa and Ruka for Japanese, plus Rami’s a little language genius so also helps out in communication. Despite the various age gaps, all of the girls are involved with monitoring and improving their performances, and work collaboratively together, stepping up when needed no matter the age. They don’t need a set leader bc they are all so incredibly balanced, and having them all on equal footing only makes them even better, and more committed and comfortable.

Only seen 3 rap and I hear Chiquita is learning but I have yet to see Pharita,Rora,or Rami rap
Rora is a Siren. Her voice effects men different than women. To men she is hypnotic and calming wether she is singing soft, falceto, power, low notes, or just talking = she makes men feel calm. She is magic.
Ruka has a beautiful singing voice and cannot be beaten in high note challenge (she destroyed Ahyeon). Her singing voice sounds like a mix of Rora, Jisoo, and Onda.

Yes, Asa is mostly a rapper. Also! Rora has this voice at 14, imagine at 20! Same with Chiquita! Only 13 with such an amazing tone and control! These two will become incredible vocal weapons! Rn I tend to, in terms of vocal performances and all, prefer Ahyeon, Pharita, Rami (and actually Asa too), but everytime I watch this covers I remember of how ready I am for this girls (Rora and Chiquita) to grow up and gain just a bit more of technique (in terms of harmonies and breath support), and for YG to give Rora parts that are lower, it fits her voice SO DAMN well! Also, I'm so ready for all of them to become rappers too (they're already training for that)! These 7 girls will truly become one of the most talented groups ever. They already are for me, but you get what I mean...
imagine how we felt listening to this back then.....Stuck in the Middle didnt exist yet...it was our first time hearing to Asa's tone when singing....it kinda took away the surprised from you since you already heard some of their songs. The introductions and Last evaluation got us hooked to this talented girls and followed their journey until they finally debuted.

Instead of doing a guide on the group, they each have separate member introductions on their channel. They are each about 7-9 minutes long for each member. There are also character playlists that are 1-3 minutes on just their personalities, also on their channel. These videos does better at explaining the members personalities than the guides that have been created have done.

The first rap that you watch with Asa was a Joyner Lucas remix version of LOOK ALIVE and for ME, MYSELF, AND I she wrote the rap part in Korean. She is also credited with writing lyrics in BATTER UP and producing. We recently found out that she did the outro for BATTTER UP. But yeah like some people mentioned that Asa is pronounced Ah•sah but Chiquita always calls her ACEsa and the name kind of stuck with a lot of fans. So calling her either one is kind of okay.
Pharita is actually pronounced Pa•ree•tah. In Thai the PH is pronounced kind of with the H slient. So like Phuket is pronounced Pu•ket not Fu•ket, In interviews you can hear her pronounce hew name as Parita but sometime she will say Rita.
Since BABYMONSTER doesn't have a leader they each take on roles so leadership. Ruka is the one that leads dance practice while Ahyeon and Rami take on vocal practice. Rora is actually the voice of the group and is usually the one speaking in interviews. Asa actually helps with rap training and making sure that everyone keeps their dorm clean. Chiquita had a rap part in SHEESH and it was Asa that helped her out to get the timing right.Unfortunately, Chiquita's rap part was cut when they changed the second verse. From what I hear about Pharita and Chiquita is that they keeps everyone's sprit up.
Oh, and there were people saying that BABYMONSTER's talent is overrated but if you get a chance you should listen to RAMI appearing on Lee Mujin Service. I knew that Rami could sing but that was a whole different level.

I just got chills up and down my spine looking up Rora's info to see if she raps as one poster said 7 rappers and found out not only is her birthday the same day I lost my wife August 14th but to add insult to Injury her year of Birth is the same year my Mother passed away [:(
