Yes, I unfortunately have experienced the same issue, in Norway of all places. As if we dnt have sects & groups of mentionless ppl is dark such as scientology & Mason's to name a few. My dad used to be a part of from he was just 17y old when he experienced a special interest in him, by another elderly Mason man. Introduced my papa into Masonry, it took him down a very dark & strange place. And IDK a lot but some abt Masons but their very interconnected & protected in any community obviously. I grew up in what looked very privileged home, and it was physically, looking past the SA NARC abuse etc.,my pa was much like uncle Scrooge type of man ..
We did look good on the outside, we had a big house & yea we were wealthy
My papa is the first millionaire in my fam, but it means everything to my fam members $$$ is all
I'm the only 1who knows what is true welth & the greater currency is compared to $$$
My children are taught by them to stay antagonistic towards me bcs of it of course, I'm the scapegoat the black sheep, although now their the sheeple of us sadly
Sad as a mother especially 😢 yet it's my truth, i dnt stay in their negative energies but keep them all at a vaste distance. I DNT keep my enemies close to me. I think it's very unwise to do so. Hate is 2toxic 2be invited by me, I learned that early on in life ❤ thx Andrew

My husband bought me a 23and me test for Christmas last year and I finally did it. Backstory, my grandma was a genealogy whizz before computers and everything we use now and I saw that we had alot of Jewish sounding last names in the family tree. I asked my grandma if our family was originally Jewish but somewhere down the line we changed religions. At first she just outright told me no but later on she admitted she wondered the same thing and her father who actually died the day I was born told her no. Now I know you can never go off of looks but my grandma looked Jewish. She had dark hair, olive to tan skin and her facial features resembled many of the characteristics I saw of my Jewish friends parents and grandparents. Fast forward to now and I wish my grandma was here bc I am Ashkenazi Jewish per the 23 and me test and it is definitely inherited from my grandma as my cousins on that side of the family are Ashkenazi Jewish too. I wonder what relative left Judaism and why? I also wonder were we hasidic, orthodox.....I wonder if someone married in and did not disclose their background and took on the religion of their spouse. So many questions that are lost with time and I will never know. I only bring this up as who knows what my life could have been if one person would have made a different decision.

There are unregulated Hasidic schools in London, where students spend 12 hours a day in religious learning. Some students have left, they can't speak English, have no education, can't read or write, know nothing of maths, the sciences & are unable to function in modern society. The Hasidics do this to tie the kids to the community & ensure they stay there.

A judge in family court can do anything! I was told where I could live. If I tried to live a few miles from there then I would automatically lose my children. Their father could live wherever he wanted. Women who- fight- in a divorce case, are considered uppity or confrontational, a big negative. I do not live in the Deep South, but sort of close. It is worse for women here. We need to be obedient and sweet and not make waves.

I know someone who this happened to in a mountain town in California. There was literally no work in the area, so once her husband left and she needed to work to support herself, she couldn't and so her and her kids were living in extreme poverty until they were grown. He was a lawyer and kept lying about his income and how much support he could provide. Her ex husband was using lawfare against her.
The same judge keeping her in the small town, awarded custody of a boy with Downs Syndrome to the father after the mother said that the boy was terrified of his father because he was violent. His rationale was that she was obviously brainwashing the child against his father. She eventually got him back after the father beat the boy so badly he needed hospital treatment (broken bones, the lot) and CPS got involved. No consequences for the evil Family judge who facilitated it of course.

Really interesting comment about beauty standards. I remember when Frida Vizel interviewed Pearl (a Hasidic grandmother) on her channel, Pearl mentioned in passing how it's difficult to pull off a simple kerchief as a woman if you don't have a naturally beautiful face and bone structure, which is partly why she chooses to wear a wig. It makes me wonder if there are married Hasidic women who choose a kerchief over a wig not necessarily out of piety, but as a display of attractiveness?

Muslims have deviated from Islam from as early as the day prophet Muhammad became ill and was about to die. Muslims came up with a religion that’s more or less like the previous religions, the very religions that Islam came to correct. But people are people. They worship control and their own ego,,

I fully support Chavie's choice to leave and live as she wants to, but her story is incoherent in one way: She believes in her right as a parent to be herself and raise her children according to her own values, truth and ideology. But then she criticizes her own parents for doing the exact same thing "to" her. If her parents are guilty of "brainwashing" her with "their" views, then she's guilty of the same thing because she has embraced western Feminist and gender ideology. Those are instructive worldviews with beliefs and absolutes exactly the same as a religious world view. She feels the father's religion would have "harmed" her kids. Okay. But he believes that her ideology will "harm" his kids. So...?? She's literally doing the exact same thing that she's criticizing but in a different reality. There is no fact that she's "right" and what she left is "wrong." It's all opinion and culture... so essentially she's arrogant. "I will control how my kids are raised and what they are exposed to, but it's wrong when my parents did it." Hypocrite.

Something is wrong here. A New York court does not take away children just because the mother is a lesbian. It is VERY difficult for a mother to lose custody if she provides a safe home for the child. The court especially does not like to change the status quo. Usually something is happening like in her “exploration” the woman is bringing in a parade of overnight strangers, partying, drugs, exposing children to adult sexual material, etc.
Independent to and unrelated to her sexuality she could be made to share custody with a father who comes back into a child’s life especially if the man now has a stable family. That’s not a punishment to her that is in the best interest of the child. She said in passing she only got them three nights a week that sounds like joint custody not lost custody.
No way children in NY of all places get taken away from a safe, stable home just because the mother is a lesbian.

I think it would be very interesting to talk with someone in the community who deals with the sexual abuse, cover ups, and other terrible things done to people. Someone who is in that community and can speak against it but also explain the positive and beautiful aspects of religion. Also the fact that many Jews are living happy, fulfilling, and loving lives with their families. That isn’t to say that some families aren’t sick and abusive. But you have that in every culture.

I saw her documentary years ago and I admire her fortitude and her utter stubbornness to not be apologetic about who she was, what she was going through, and that she was being discriminated against for the ideal situation of a "status quo" type of mentality. And that mentality is horseshit when it comes to a cult type of "status quo". I don't know if that made sense, but to me all of these types of communities are cults, doesn't matter what they believe or why they formed, they are cults, period and to have backing from a court that is suppose to help mainly the children in these situations is utterly baffling to me. How can you back a cult mentality?
Speaking of conspiracy theories, George Carlin did an interview and he talked about how conspiracies are not just all wack jobs talking about lizard people, it's that all the " higher ups" know each other and everything they do is to benefit themselves and their "friends" and everyone else gets the scraps. He said it more eloquently than I just paraphrased here, but look it up, it's a compelling interview.
Anyways, great interview Andrew. I love Chavie so much and I hope she and her children are happy and healthy today. Love to you, Chavie and my fellow humans 💕🥰🤗🥂🦄🌈🍭💜💞🤘🥳

My question. Why di you find it necessary to address the world by your 'queer' lifestyle every third sentence? If someone finds out I'm gay, fine. I don't wear a queer nametag insisting that my lifestyle is somehow more meaningful than theirs. If you move into the world of lesbianism, you have only laterally moved from the cult of Hasidim to the cult of queerness. There's no evolution going on there. I'm a 70 yr old male. If there's one thing I've learned in this non-redemptive world, it's that the world is made out out of cults, and those that break out find themselves hopelessly isolated, bitter, and cynical. Just mentioning. Live your life as you wish, but there will always be consequences

Nowhere in the Talmud or Torah does it say that voting for a FASCIST PIG like TRUMP is a good thing! Pigs are NOT KOSHER, especially disgusting FASCIST PIGS like TRUMP! Let it be never forgotten that the FASCISTS who ruled Germany in 1933-1945 were the worst enemies Jewish people ever had and the same is true about present day FASCISTS such as TRUMP! That is why it’s such a shame to see Jewish people supporting TRUMP!

This is interesting to me in the more general sense that this fundamentalist community tried to tell this person that their life experiences and thoughts were not authentic. I see that all the time from a more secular but culturally Jewish background where religious extremists from multiple religions, and even some people who deem themselves not very religious, try to label my experiences and beliefs as not being authentic, like say when I point out that certain words and behaviors are antisemitic. We're seeing a lot of that now in more moderate and secular Jewish communities being attacked by antisemitic people trying to unauthenticated our existence. I'm not trying to say my experiences were anywhere near as rough or extreme as this person's were, just that a lot of people discount others on account of religion.

Why divorcing parents throw their sexuality in their kids faces will be unfathomable to me until the day I die.
I remember back in 1984 like it was today sitting at Williams pub in uptown Minneapolis with some friends having breakfast watching a table nearby where two men and three children were sitting.
the children were uncomfortable and the men were affectionate with each other. eventually I overheard that one of the men was the father of the children and had come to breakfast with his boyfriend.
10 years earlier I remember feeling uncomfortable as my father brought a date on one of his custodial visits, all kids want is parental normalcy, don't add adult themes to that and you'll do less wrong.

As a Messianic Jew “On The Edge” with my Hasidic community: I’m in the closet with Christ, or rather I have placed Christ in the closet for a while - until the right time comes up where I can discuss with Rabbi all of the scriptural evidence that demands a verdict - all of the prophesies that have stamped Christ throughout the Old Testament. I know when I “come out” I will get THROWN OUT, but I am prepared for that moment. What people don’t understand is that the true Messiah can and will change the human heart to make it loving where there was hate. Where there was envy, lust, and unbelief, one can find peace, patience and faith. When I listen to stories like this: I usually think, well good for them. They did something that took a lot of courage and belief in their own values. I just can’t see the good and virtue in going from a belief in Almighty God (and living like their is one) to atheism. And, if atheists do not believe in God: why do they even bother to say his name, especially when they are dying? I look at it this way: IF I AM WRONG, I WILL HAVE LOST NOTHING. I WILL SIMPLY FALL ONTO THE PLATFORM THAT THE ATHEISTS HAVE BUILT, BUT IF THEY ARE WRONG, THEY HAVE LOST EVERYTHING!

I don't believe that you are a Jew at all... I believe that you are in a CULT and are simply CHRISTIAN. Every Jewish Critical Thinking Jew knows the book of ISAIAH and they are reading the Biblical Hebrew, so they know why Jews don't accept Human Sacrifice and Idolatry. They know why JOSHUA (Jesus) did not meet the requirements of Moschiach. There were many Messiahs, all of them were the Jewish Prophets: Moses, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Daniel, Zechariah, Malachai, etc. Trying to Gain A WEAK JEW by Deception certaintly falls in line with the ethics of your PAULINIAN CULT. Shame on you. Once you become a Christian, you are no longer Jewish. You can't be a Hindu Mormon. You must choose ONE. Judaism and Christianity have different Eschatological beliefs and texts. Isaiah belongs to Jews and is not about Joshua (Jesus). You need a Rebbe who knows The New Testament inside and out and has been through Yeshiva. TOVIA to the rescue!🚸🕵️🎯
