Beautiful! I've been looking forward to the conclusion! I'm in the middle of a similiar project, and I have a question about the LEDs!
Did you use any sort of track and/or diffuser for the LEDs?
In what orientation did you mount them? On the top so they shoot the light directly down? On the lip of the face frame so it shoots the light directly torward the back? Or in an angled track for an angled direction of the light?
Did you use the same power supply and controller for both sides of the shelving unit? Or did you have dedicated ones for each?
Is there anything you would have done differently?

I didn’t use a diffuser. The LED lights I used are clustered close, so the light looks even without the diffuser. For the orientation, I originally planned to use a 45* diffuser, but ended up just sticking the strips to the underside of the shelves just behind the face frame. They point directly down. Everything lights up well still like this (I tested it out before attaching them to make sure).
I did use the same power supply. It was enough to power the amount of lights I used. I used just over 16ft total of the LED strips (not counting the wire I used to connect them). The supply was more than enough for that. Also, the controller has 2 outputs, so I was able to run each side through it as well.
