Because he was pitter padding around like it wasn’t the most important fight of his life thus far. You gotta show the boss you’re tryin to finish the fight. if you’re complacent there how are you gonna fight when you’re in the big show with lights bright.
He should've been signed. He had to be careful because his opponent was trying to wrestleF him as well. I dont get it sometimes with the contracts. They signed Jake Hadley after he missed weight, and was getting pieced up for 1.5 rounds before getting a sub.

@@pokemonovice9758 DC should be called in just during wrestling exchanges haha. Rogan is fun but past few years very hit or miss, like he doesn't know what he's watching. The Izzy/Jan fight was a prime example, possibly made worse by the DC/Rogan combo.

Sad to see another bulgarian fighter miss his shot at the big time. The reality is there are no professional mma gyms here and it shows time and time again. A gifted athlete will appear now and then but they last only because of their instinct and physical abilities. Blagoy made a great choice by joining Extreme Couture, training with top talent, even though he's past his prime. He showed he can hang. But guys like Stanislav Kolev and this guy, they just lack the basics and good coaching.

I was wondering where I heard that name before. If you think Armen is good his brother Giorgio is even better and has been one of the best kickboxers in the world for a long time. If he comes to the UFC his striking will set the lightweight division on fire like Izzy did for middleweight.
He's 36 and is a kickboxer. It takes more than kickboxing to be successful in MMA. Just because Izzy did it doesn't mean he could. Izzy went 11-0 before entering the UFC. Be interesting to see but don't think it'd be the same story.
@@somerled5513 that is true and izzy always had a plan to enter mma even while he was in China. On the other hand I have always held the belief that mma striking is vastly, vastly inferior to many of the other sports and rife for exploitation by top kickboxers if they get their tdd in order. Izzy has shown this to be at least partially true. If anything the last few years of mma has shown us that domain experts are back, whether wrestlers like khabib, islam, khamzat or strikers like izzy. Yeah I might have jumped the gun on the "will", its probably could. Also although he might not become champ (might be just too old) but I am sure it will be fun, which is a different kind of fire.

@@stevenw2933 Oh for sure, I would definitely watch. I'd also love to see Holzken try his hand at MMA - seeing his power translate in 4oz gloves against Parr last year was interesting. But again he is getting older now. I think Izzy's evasive striking style translated particularly well to MMA.
