WELL - SHIT HAPPENS EVEN TO THE BEST !!!!! (HE WAS THE UK`S FREESTYLE MASTERS WINNER TWO YEARS IN A ROW)
THREE AIRCRAFT WERE INVOLVED IN THIS INCIDENT,
TWO STRUCK EACH OTHER AND ONE CRASHED WHILE AVOIDING THE OTHER TWO !
WERE STILL NOT SURE WHAT HAPPENED EXACTLY BUT DEANOS EDGE BECAME UNCONTROLLABLE A FEW SECONDS AFTER BEING PUT INTO KNIFE EDGE AND DEANO STRUGGLED TO CONTROL HER BUT AS SHE DROPPED DOWN ONTO SONNY MILGATES PILOT RC LAZER DEANO TRIED TO ROLL AWAY FROM HIM BUT BEING ON HIGH RATES SHE JUST INSTANTLY FLICKED ON HIM (HE OVER CONTROLLED HER) HITTING SONNYS MODEL AND TEARING OFF DEANOS WING,
SONNY MANAGED TO CONTROL HIS LAZER AND LAND HER BUT AZZA COMING UP FAST BEHIND THE TWO COLLIDING MODELS LOST SIGHT OF HIS OWN MODEL (MOMENTARILY - HIS OWN WORDS) WITH THE MERGING MODELS COMING TOWARDS HIM SO HE GENTLY PUSHED HIS MODEL AWAY FROM THE CROWD LINE (SAFE MOVE) AND THEN HE SAW SONNYS MODEL FLYING TOWARDS HIMSELF (AND THE OTHER PILOTS) AND LOST SIGHT OF HIS OWN MODEL (A PILOT RC SLICK) ALTOGETHER AS HE WAS NOW CONCERNED WITH SONNYS TRAJECTORY AND WAS NOW WATCHING SONNYS MODEL AND HIS OWN MODEL THEN SLAMMED SAFELY INTO THE GROUND AWAY FROM EVERYONE TOTALLY DESTROYING ITSELF !
QUICK THINKING ON AZZAS PART TO PUSH HER AWAY FROM ENDANGERING ANYONE - HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD SACRIFICE A MODEL IN THAT KIND OF SCENARIO ?

They are are all good pilots, but the pilot of the yellow plane, the one that didn’t crash after being dropped on. That was skill, reflexes, luck, all of the above. Amazing!

by the other hand, the third guy (not the yellow, not the white with red) crashed by himself, he was'nt hit but felt scaried enough....
@@Diogo-dt1uf He may have been trying avoid the carnage, and swerved. Unfortunately swerving into the ground is the worst option.

Man, had to watch a few fimes before I noticed that is was a 3 plane incident. Auwch, extra painful.
Almost looks like the one that got it the worst never was actually hit but went under the two that did collide then into the ground. Wild display!
no it didnt hit either of them - the pilot lost sight of it and pushed it away from the crowd line but didnt recover it !

This type of flying are for people, who's got extra CASH to burn.
This is why I never fly when there is more than one plane already airborne.
Great work from tbobborap1 (again!).The pilot in that mid-air who did not crash should go down in the all time annals of "the right stuff". The plane that hit him was in a "knife-edge-full-stall", kind of neat, but a bit expensive.

Remind Deano of a quote from one of his countrymen...."merely a flesh wound", or as might be said here in America..."nothing that a little duct tape can't fix". Enough of the wise cracks now. My e-flite Texan took a hit last year similar to yours. Three trips back to the crash site and two weeks of work and it flew again. Good luck Deano. Jim

What everyone misses is there's no hard feelings or Karen behavior, just a lot of smiling after disaster. Stuff happens. They know that and have the strength to laugh it off. That's a fun community I miss and can't wait to get back to.
thats right darrell, these guys know the possible consequences of this style of flying (very few accidents in 5 yrs of show flying) so there is no animosity between them,

A little bit of Super Glue, some cello tape and both Planes will be back in the air. That was a Slick Crash. Check the Black Boxes and the voice recorders, frame by frame investigation.

Bummer a little bit of CA and some 5 min. and your back in the air maybe a bigger motor .
This is just a theory... It's very hard to see what happened, but I wonder if the first plane's violent 'twitch' at 00:20 might have been caused by one half of its divided elevator deflecting fully, acting like a sort of aileron-rudder and steering the plane downwards.
All of these pilots are so sharp that recovering from any normal flight upset is virtually instinctive, but a split elevator deflection when in knife-edge would be something new.
It might be possible to set up the half-elevator failure on a simulator and practise the recovery (I did something similar once with a simulated missing fin and rudder), but in this case everything happened so quickly and in such crowded airspace that I'm not sure anybody could have saved the situation.
No disrespect intended to any of the pilots involved. 🙃 (Great camerawork, by the way.)
many thanks for your comments Elli, having seen the footage now we came to a similar conclusion - when the model got down near sonnys model deans reaction was to roll away from it but being on high rate he over did it and she flicked over and slammed into sonnys model, weve got to examine the model as yet to see if anything is wrong, hes flown her for several seasons and never had this happen before !
@@tbobborap1 yes I believe this is true and I believe that the third pilot either got distracted or lost altitude from over elevator extortion
Behind the first crash there is another plane losing altitude and slamming into the ground

@@christiankleinckaviation9002 Der Kommentar ist jetzt wirklich daneben - nur ja nichts kritisch hinterfragen , auch wenn es noch so gaga ist - Tatsache ist, man kann Modellflugzeuge nicht so präzise im Luftraum steuern wie es für solche Situationen nötig wäre , dafür gibt es im Netz genügend Beispiele. Daß die EU immer mehr Regeln erläßt, die den Modellflug erschweren liegt auch an solchen Szenen, die eine unnötige Gefahr suggerieren. Und die Videos gucken leider nicht nur die Freunde des Modellfluges sondern auch dessen Gegner. Beipsiel Österreich: dort will man den freien Hangflug ganz verbieten - aus Angst vor den damit verbundenen "Gefahren" . Man kann sowas ja machen aber muß man dann unbedingt den Crash veröffentlichen ? Das erinnert mich an die FPV Drohnenflieger die noch vor kurzem im Netz mit ihren Mega Reichweiten angaben und wehe es wurde kritisch hinterfragt . TJA , jetzt haben wir den Salat - Luftraumbegrenzungen , Höhenbegrenzungen Reichweitenlimitierungen und und und ....

No I didn’t, you run the risk of accidents happening when you fly in a slot like this, if I flew into them on purpose then I would expect them to want a new model but this was an accident and still looking into the cause, we go by the Motto when you take off you have lost the model
If it lands in one bit you have done well lol

@@tbobborap1 I noticed in the slow-motion from 0.27 through 0.29 the left wing appears to be separating. It's suffered a broken spar or something.
thanks dan, the tube spar looks complete when the model is on the ground, could be that the tube spar tore through the wing panel - maybe thats what you saw dan !
@@tbobborap1 Gotcha. It likely then that the wing was rotating about the spar which would account for your crazy roll at the end. Either way, best of luck on repairs ! :)

Playing around with the crash wreckage so close to other valuable toys isn't smart. I would have been a bit peeved if that was my RC jet they were hanging out next to NOT paying attention.
