Would love for you to update this video as my new 2023 purchased switch doesn't have the trunk option on link aggregation. Can't seem to get the two switches to talk

Went from a $15 TPlink unmanaged switch to this. I get over 600mbs on speed test with unmanaged TP link but only get about average 5mbs on the Netgear. It shuts down my multibitrate stream as well. This is not a plug and play option and there is no documentation on the profiles as to what they actually do to the switch settings. Also when my workstation reconnects to the switch it asigns an IP address outside my main network range even though I have routing turned off. Also if planning to use this in a live production environment and want to take advantage of the configurability, you must have multiple network cards in your PC, one for NDI one for Internet access, and one for control of devices.

I have an installation where I need to replace the existing switch with one of these, but the Dante devices have statically assigned IP addresses. Do I need to setup an IP address range for the DMX Vlan or can I just connect these devices after configuring the ports as shown in this video?

How good will this unit work with a live production running PTZ cameras sending video in SRT codec ?

Is there a router that you recommend to work with this switch?

Thanks a million guys. This is great. Please, may I know whether I can route regular Cable TV input through a digital converter and then feed it into the M4250 for distribution to more offices or rooms?

If your "converter" is an AV-over-IP video encoder with a Gigabit Ethernet output, then yes sure the M4250 switches will transport your stream to other video decoders elsewhere. Cheers

Excellent. Thank you very much, Sir.
Please pardon my follow up question. Does Netgear have such a Converter that would offer perfect compatibility with Netgear Switches? If true, may I have the model number, please.

yes you can; it's a full layer-2 switch with all bells and whistles
