- Justin Bergman vs Skylar Brown, giving Skylar 25 on the wire going to 50. Barbox 9-ball, template rack, winner break. Justin opens the set with a 5-pack, then some safety exchanges, and unfortunate scratches from Skylar puts the score at 13-1 (26 with the spot), when Justin goes on a rampage and runs 18 racks in a row!!

Love watching this dude play. Miss seeing him on the pro tour, but seeing him play at all is good enough! I said back in 2017, this guy could potentially be the best American player in the future. Wish he came back around, but he doesn’t care to prove anything to anyone! Keep grinding Berg!
Thanks Justin for putting this out here for everyone to see. Its awesome to watch someone that good at their craft.
Thanks for the video guys!!!
Bergman is a machine, I saw him play a bunch of $100 challange matches at Racks on The Rocks one day and nobody even came close to beating him. And quite a few of them had a Fargo around 750, they still came up far short.
His Fargo I've always suspected should be around the other top 20 players in the world. Now that he no longer competes on the pro tour he is a true definition of a hustler playing at his local spots and tournaments and schooling pretty much everyone.
Justin Bergman has always been my 2nd fav pool player besides the goat efren......Bergmans finesse and style of play is like no other pro nowadays.....he deserves much more recognition then he gets....the underground billiards king 💪
I always felt once he would speed up his tempo,,that would really be awsome. He is an "AWESOME " pool player!!!!!
Amazing... so much fun to watch.
It’s hard to stop a train, with a pool stick! Cheers Justin, this is a spectacle to watch! Keep up the good work my guy!
Grew up with Justin since grade school at William Holliday/ Pontiac and he’s always been on his grind. Dude can hustle on the poker table too. Great times over at Brett’s. Sick to see him at this level
CALL HIM AND TELL HIM WE NEED HIM ON THIS MOSCONI CUP TEAM!!!
Keep it up buddy nice to see you at it again,," The Iceberg Lives..!!"
How I wish he played in the Mosconi. We need him!
He gives great performances! Hope he'll be there in the future.
Hes played in it and i was suppose to play i think in 2022 considering he doesnt even play professionally
this is the pros and cons of the template rack...unreal consistency
I remember when Justin was just around 13. I worked with his dad Al at MCD and we use to shoot pool and he would tell me how good Justin was. Wow
Justin is the real deal, hat, mask, shark, booking games in his spare time, fast Eddie would be proud and this guy will be a world beater.
He used to go on the pro tour and now he mostly sticks to his local tournaments and real hustling. He needs to get back on the pro tour to give us Americans some strength in the Mosconi, we floundered so badly this year
Awesome 👍
Justin Berkman proving that he may be the best bar box player in the world! Heck of a nice guy, too once he relaxes a little..
Jesus that was insane Bergman!
Good job, Justin!
Insane
So we're just gonna ignore what the announcer said to Heather at 2:05min. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Talking about he'd SMACK THAT. Come on man.
Yes, we are just gonna ignore that.
Bruh this announcer wild for saying that on steam 😭🤣
can't believe he said that on stream lmao
She too hot not to say anything 😂
Whats really amazing to me is the speed he plays at while sustaining consistency.
Where has this guy been?! He doesn’t play many tournaments anymore it seems. Good to see him here.
He's on the road nowadays
One of my favorite players and the main player whose stroke i imitated, im nowhere near as consistent but im far better than i was with my old stroke
For people this good, magic rack and a bar box isn’t even fair.
I agree, but this was still super super impressive. Bar boxes, for nine ball, are much easier than on 8ft and 9ft tables. And the magic rack just makes things so obvious on how you want to break. But this dude can flat out shoot. I would love to see him take on SVB or Filler, or someone like that, on a 9ft table.
What type of bar table was Keith on when he hit his 30 or so?
By the way who cares about the size of the table, I read the comments down below... Dont be "haten" the natural talent this gifted player has... To run out without pattern racking is amazing in itself.... Just Sayin
Of course this guy is super talented. But the size of the table does matter, and it matters a lot. I used to only play on bar boxes, then I moved to the Philippines where I have never seen a bar box table. They only have eight and nine foot tables there. And it was a bit surprising how many more shots I would miss on an eight foot table compared to a bar box.
And moving from seven foot to nine foot is an even bigger difference. Shots you don't have to stretch for on a seven foot table, you might have to stretch for on a nine foot table. Shots that you rattle in on a seven foot table don't go in a lot of the time on a nine foot table.
And moving the ball around on a bar box is so much easier. Any time you have to hit the ball harder, it increases your chance of missing the shot. And to move the ball around on a nine foot table you have to, many times, hit the ball harder.
Still, this guys is a GREAT player, but I do not think he would consistently beat most of the top players in the world on nine foot tables.
Tommy Sanders from Beaumont Texas Ram 17 racks on a bar box 13 racks on a 9-ft he also had not played a major tournament in 15 years went and played the houston open went hill hill with gabe owens in the final to finish second he has the best stroke i ever seen on a human being he's got a lot of other interests besides pool and he never really played all the time he is truly a phenomenon on the pool table
I ran 18 racks playing 9 ball but that was 20 years ago.
That's awesome man.
Crazy , not even 2mins per game for 21 straight runs
Justin is a beast.
thats gotta be a record. 18 racks of 9. dammmm
They really roast justin hall when they said if he cared about pool life or anything at all
this is 1 of 10 best pool player in a world
I don’t care what he likes to play in but I would like to see him play in the tournaments
Nothing but respect for Bergman. But template rack 9 ball is crazy. Each rack looks relatively the same. The pro tournament rules with the inside the box and 3 point rule is tough to put together that many.
3 point rule is a joke. You can soft break and get your 3 points and then you can hit at 45 mph and have everybody knock each other so much nothing ever crosses the headstring
@@SpaceboyBilliards no argument from me. However it does break up the potential for running as many racks in a row.
@@nemesisryder2 every pro voted the 3 point rule out thats why it's gone. It was unanimous when emily frazer held a players meeting
@@SpaceboyBilliards they voted it out because they didn't like the fact they could break hard and still not get the three points.
But the FACT remains there has to be changes made to break rules because the game is becoming too easy, and rather boring to watch with every break looking almost the same.
@James Davis well duh. 3 point rule was only to stop soft breaking, but then they got punished for breaking at 35 mph anyways
Somebody just tell Justin that noone cares what he looks like. Its Pool, not "Dancing with the stars". He is one of the World's greatest players, and him not playing at Derby, or the US Open is a crime.
Forget the open or derby it’s worse that he’s not in the Mosconi Cup over Dominguez
@@jamesmontanez4715 Absolutely. Its sad that him and Justin Hall are both out of the Mosconi.
Sounds like he’s lazy, if he’s really earning $250,000 per year and paying zero tax why can’t he play in US open? Can’t hire a private jet?
He's just not interested in tournaments when he has so much action where he lives. Why do so many people care that he does not play in major tournaments? Let him do whatever he wants.
@@Salesman Im a strong player who lives in the same area. Ive played Justin several times. Their is not that much action here. We stand a much better chance of winning another Mosconi Cup with him than without him. Plus, he is 1 of 3 guys from America with a legit chance of winning the US Open. Europe is awesome at pool. They have legit tours, and they beat us in the Mosconi cup 8 years straight. Justin has hoisted that cup. We need him on that team.
Imagine you're the opponent and you watch a guy run 18 racks and then play safe. If I was on a monster run I'd have taken some wild hail Mary shot on that 1 ball, LOL
he could have comboed the 3 in the side... i think he got bored or mentally tired
Around 1991, I had a friend in Mankato MN who was a great player. One night we went to play 8 ball, 9ft table. He ran 18 racks in a row on me. Never got a shot. Never shot home again. Lol.
What kind of shaft does Justin use? Brand ?
Is that a bar box they are playing on or 9 foot table?
Liquid pool, so satisfying to watch true mastery.
I grew up playing against Justin and he is one of the best players in the world any world class player will tell you the same
Most definitely!!!!!
I grew up in St Louis, but now I live in CA. I have been playing pool myself for over 60 years. I can say that Justin is a real talent. Where is this pool room located? It doesn't say, other than it's in St Louis somewhere, but that's a big place. Thanks for a response.
What is a Calcutta ?
2:41 commentator says Justin gives himself about the worst rack possible having "bad balls" at the top. Personally if I rack my own 9 ball I like to put the 7 and 8 up there under the 1 ball, tends to lead to similar finishes (of the rack), I watched a video of Florian "venom" Kohler discussing different ways to patern rack and why, and where balls tend to end up. I think Bergman knows this as well
Despite the 8ball going in the side pocket look where the 7 ends up. Great spot for the ball before the 9 (before and after the kiss it gets)
I want to see a match up between him and Fedor G
When I watch Bergman play the only thing that stops him is making a ball on the break , he gets out on the hardest racks and makes it look easy in 8 , 9 , or 10 ball , glad he doesn't take all day to shoot anymore .
The first thing I thought after I got here was, “This must be part 1, because Bergman takes all day to shoot.” LOL.
this guy used to take a long time to shoot? Shit, he flew through these racks. Wonder why he took so long before.
It’s a bar box so he shoots fast but on a 9 footer in serious tournaments he shoots slow AF
Hello guyes 🥰 Is it a 9 fot table? A friend thought it was 8 fot!? Peace&Love from Sweden 🥰
Amazing! Though if you played 3 point break rule. Would all of the breaks count
Most of them would because hes pocketing a ball or two everytime, thats one or two down and it counts!
Doesn’t matter their not playing a 3 point break rule.
@@Butternuttsss I was curious if they did what would be the out come. Still freaking amazing. No judging here. Just a question.
anyone know what cue he has? i know its an OB phoenix shaft
Steve Lomax?
new to the game how come he throws in the 9 or just starts re racking with the 9 left on some racks?
They guy he is playing against conceded the game
Really sped up his game, good.
@21:59 🤦🏻♂️ Commentator is smoking crack “that was a swing and a miss”, no, he was playing for the 5. Going into those balls that early with the 5 there is too risky it’s not 8b it’s 9b, break out after traffic is gone. Justin played that perfectly as intended. The reason it looked like a swing cause he had to hit it hard to get on the right side of the 5 to go for the breakout. Cant believe the commentator didn’t see that.
who won?
It’s a great feat and he’s talented. But I have heard of this on bar boxes before. 9 or higher on a 9 footer Is more impressive to me.
About a year ago, SVB won 26 games in a row and pocketed all 260 balls against Skyler Woodward, but SVB played a few safeties in that 26 game run. Would love to have seen Earl’s 11 pack for $1M!
U speak like bergman could not do anything he wants in 9ft table
The best I've done on a 9 ft. table ,11 consecutive break and runs of 9 ball,,"not ball in hand either",,strictly straight out break and runs.I know I can beat all the pool leaguers(amateurs),,and probably three quarters of the professional players.
@@ricklaine6583 You are totally delusional and full of it! Earl Strickland is one of the best rotation players of all time, especially 9 ball, and for him to run 11 racks for the $1 million (which he never got paid for) is an incredible feat. You, as an unknown player, are highly unlikely to have run 6 racks, nevermind 11, and you're crazy if you think you're beating 3/4 of the pros out there.
@@ricklaine6583 cap af
What year was this match
👀👀why do they play on junior size table?
So they can run 18 racks
36:35 Why did the commentator call Justin a "retired pool player"?
Because he is, essentially. Refuses to travel and play any big events anymore. Basically quit the pro tournament scene.
on a bar table 9 ball
WOW
Orcollo broke and ran 11 on Shane, Shane WON 26 straight vs Skyler, and for you Announcers, if you want to bet on Justin playing Alex, Chohan, or Gorst, along with 20 more guys playing one pocket, set it up
Mascoini cup usa needs him!!!
Hell of an outing. He's using an SS360/2 kielwood shaft built by Bob Danielson of BDCues out of Benton City, Washington. Best hitting shaft on the market.
Bob is the Justin’s new cue sponsor. Recently built an awesome ebony banger with blue veneers that Justin will be playing with.
Bob Meucci is the only person I know that has created a machine to test deflection on different shafts. Unfortunately there aren't any updated videos out there with the newer shafts on the market.
@@ChillinwithCav the Meucci machine has its flaws. It's not the end all be all.
@@ryanwilloughby453 I understand that and in all honesty the player behind the cue will learn to adjust but I'd like to see some repeatable hits from a machine that eliminates as much human error as possible just to see the raw results.
I think “hit” goes beyond deflection. Of course there’s a lot of subjectivity when discussing preferences in equipment in any sport.
When I consider overall “hit” of a shaft or cue I think not only of deflection but the feel, sound, weight, composition of materials, shaft taper, etc…
@@Steve-tq5xh Sound and feel are irrelevant. Weight can be adjusted these days by removing a weight screw from the butt. I want to see a machine hit a cue ball with the same force, same english and see what the deflection is. Everything outside of that is just personal preference.
iceberggggg🎉
The announcer is right. Bergman is one of the best in the USA. 2nd best behind SVB
Him and Skyler play very close in Skill Level. Justin is extremely knowledgeable as well. We need Justin Back in the Mosconi Cup and Playing at Derby and the US open.
@@garygwinn5818 yes Skyler plays at Bergmans level. For sure. But still my opinion that when playing a lot Bergman is #2. Both very close to each other.
@@tyarnold4088 Lemme tell you, Andy Quinn could have become a World Champion, but he stayed around St. Louis and pool has just about completely died here. This is Losersville, USA when it comes to pool. Pros just know to not come here and bark, and great pros just shrivel up and stay broke or do something else for a living. Justin Needs the Road. He needs to stay active. He needs a Road-Friend and they need to go tear it up.
@@garygwinn5818 well Jimmy Eberhart used to hit the road with Bergman. I don't know what happened to him.
Sky Woodward and a sober Justin Hall has to be considered.
is this the world record?
His break is consistent.Just look where the 1 goes all the time.
ya thats 50% of it for sure, if you can make a ball, and position the 1 and the cue ball for a good starting shot youre well on your way
@@stdavis22 the break is the most important shot of the game i learnt.
It's consistent because of what he is using to rack and the seven foot table. This is super impressive, but would not be the same on a nine foot table and a wooden rack.
finally heard someone analyze justin correctly. great job by the announcer. maybe the best player in the world. not far off, at bare min.
Damn
mosconi cup usa needs him...
Iceberg!!!
I was waiting for the guy to stop daydreaming about Justin and start commentating the match.
Fast Eddie let's play some pool.
10:26 regarding the one pocket talk, If you think he can’t beat the names you mentioned he’s not beating fedor in one pocket.
Very long list of people not beating Fedor in almost any game. He is a dominant beast that will be a target for many years. Let's see after the battle with Jayson Shaw if it happens!
@@lefty9419 justin would give Fedor his moneys worth in one pocket dont be silly
@@MrGroovydude67401 I'm not being silly. Just honest. No way I would bet against Fedor at any moment no matter what game is being played. Bergman has been one of my favorite players ever. Nothing against his talent.
Idiot Announcers, period, This guy couldn't beat a picture of Fedor Gorst playing ANY GAME, he is a bar table player
18 then safe on the one ball... Jeezus
Is it a foul at 31:45 since Justin touched the cue ball while it was moving?
?
Technically yes but no one would ever call that considering the cue ball was no where near going to scratch.
I hate traveling too Justin. Wish you were on the pro circuit. But cant blame him for doing his thang
38:17 “this will on TikTok” 😂
Ain’t nobody watching a 40mins on there.. if they’re talk world records then that’ll have to be included
Does anyone know why he’s not on the tour these days? He should be in the Mosconi team
They literally explained why in beginning of video. Basically he's making too much money in one place to be worth traveling a lot.
Hates travelling, which is fair enough in the US it's a big old place
@@dnbmania ya, but that doesn't totally explain it. There are tournaments that are not that far from him. And only having to travel a few times a year to play Derby, the U.S. Open, and Mosconi Cup doesn't seem to be that big of a deal.
@@jamesdavis8731 Not sure it would make any sense for him to be on the tour if he's not going to do that 'tour' part of it in that case. He'd only be financially driven at that point and if he's already sorted on that front there's nothing left to have
@@dnbmania except you would be playing REGULARLY against the best players in the world - and you would be also representing your country, which I think is always a good idea.
Let's face it, he is a terrific player, but I think the stress of playing against the best players in the world on a regular basis is too much for him.
He seems to like being a big fish in a small pond - which is fine. Many people are like that. I think he knows that if he played regularly on the American or European tours he would not win nearly as often, probably rarely.
So to each their own. My point is that he is a very very good player, but there is a big difference between dominating lower level players in Missouri compared to winning on the international stage.
Some guys are mentally built for being a big fish in a small pond, others want to be a big fish in a big pond. To each their own. I just wish he would play for the American Mosconi Cup team - which he has done in the past. You would think that type of thing would be important to a guy - to this guy being a big fish in a small pond seems to be more important.
Legend says that skylar brown is still ☕☕☕
Great playing. But I got tired of hearing the word package. lol
But, it was a HUGE package.
Isn't it 19 racks? (he starts the run on 13 racks and ends on 32 racks)
Dennis orcollo did an 11
I haven't seen a rack, is he racking free hand ??!! I can make one on the break every time free hand racking.
Magic rack. Pretty much cheating
Yes and he's pattern racking. The layout was almost the same after the break.
Is this Bergman as good as svb ?
Yes his Fargo rate 780-800s like SVB.
@@JohnS-il1dr he is not as good as SVB, but he is very good. I would love to see SVB and this guy on nine foot tables and a race to 50. I have no doubt SVB wins handily, and here is why:
Bergman would not be able to so easily pocket balls on the break, and when that happens he would have to have a really good safety game. I don't think he is the overall player that SVB is. Bergman is an offensive machine on a seven foot table with huge pockets and basically pattern racking.
7 footer?
He got lucky.
It looks like he got bored and decided to spice things up towards the end which resulted in a bad break
the guy comentating sounds like Theo Von
Justin kind of reminds me of Jesse Bowman in his prime....good enough to play against the best players in the world, just has little to no interest in traveling or getting into all the pro events and/or tour.
Jamie had a better attitude than Jesse.
@JimJones-kk8pb yes.... put Jamey's attitude with Jesse's raw skill.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Get him back on the Mosconi...ASAP!!!!🎱
Please don’t , he missed a ball one foot from the pocket , we all had our days
If I was Skylar I would just forfeit once it was tied. I don’t even see it as giving up. It’s just accepting reality.
Is he paying taxes getting that cash? In the real world you make $100,000 and govt takes 40%
What do you work for the IRS or something? Mind your fuckin business.
This ain't gambling!! Money Donation... if I were to play Justin.. no soft breaks!!! Then it's gambling
lmao what happen to 20 racks
Does he have a bad immune system?
Why is he protecting his chin?
I watched 1:15 of this then stopped watching because of the mask.
@@141poolplayer - You stopped watching a video of someone shooting pool because he had a mask on? That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a while. Of all the things to care about, you dislike what someone chooses to wear... and you're perfectly allowed to feel that way, but still ridiculous nonetheless. Does it bother you when people leave stickers on their hats, too? Please say that it does, haha.
@@chili015 And you get butt hurt over what I choose to watch. I call that ridiculous, haha.
@@141poolplayer - Not butt hurt at all, which is why I said you're allowed to feel that way. If I was butt hurt, I would complain about you feeling that way, which I didn't do... so it's interesting you think that, likely a defense mechanism you go to when you don't have anything intelligent to come back with. My point was your choice of what you care about to make you not watch the rest of a video you clicked on is ridiculous. It's just a mask, a harmless inanimate object that you have let bother you. My advice: Have thicker skin. If someone wearing a mask gets to you enough that you have to make several comments replying to others about it, I'd immediately question your weak mentality. But... at the end of the day, I really don't care. If you don't like it, you don't like it. In fact, good for you!
@@chili015 Wow, you really got your panties in a bunch over this don't you Jackie Boy? If it would make you feel better, I'll go back and watch the video of the masked man. I'll even give it a thumbs up. Will that make you feel better snowflake?
Would not even run 2 pack on matchroom rules and conditions
Match room is trash wtf are you talking about
There always someone....
@@2869may Well, he would most certainly run more than a two pack now and then. But he isn't running close to 20 racks on larger tables. Not happening.
@@jamesdavis8731 Why do people always want to diminish what others have done...
" But he isn't running close to 20 racks on larger tables".... How many rack can YOU or anybody you know run on a table this size..?
@@2869may hey snowflake, no one is diminishing what he did here. But people need to understand that the way this is setup makes it a lot easier.
Running racks on a nine foot table without a magic rack is a completely different thing.
Why are you so sensitive little guy?
impressive no doubt, but 5 inch pockets on a bar box
Dont worry he machine on every table u can imagine
4.5" pockets
Gonna take a guess and say Bergman hates tsa and all the bs unconstitutional stuff we have to deal with when we fly. Just a guess, I feel the same way
As long as you control the break, 9 ball run out on a 7ft table, not really that hard
Just tell me when & where I can come watch you run 18 racks then
@@NoraaSnave fair enough
You should post a video and show us how "not really that hard" it is....
@@2869may it is not as hard as people think it is. With the magic rack, a decent break, and a seven foot table running out is MUCH easier. But, this guy is still a tremendous player. Super talented.
@@jamesdavis8731 I have a bar box and run out a rack or 2 most days... I know it's "easier" on a smaller table. But the fact is not many PRO players have even ran 20 racks on a table this size.... If any.
Commence bar box and tight pocket comments from rail bird internet champs. If you wanna talk and chirp then post a video of you running at the least a ten pack on whatever table you decide to be challenging.
