Watching that 2nd Chiefs game, I was so frustrated to watch the play calling. After the game AP was very happy with Aidan, he said that Aidan did what they asked him to do. I'm not going to pretend that I know more than AP, so if he say's Aidan did what they asked him to do, and they won the game, then I go with AP.

Hondo Carpenter from SI got a question from a fan asking where would AOC go in this years draft.
He asked four NFL executives. He knows and have a proven track record with QBs
1. Clear Top ten pick this year. Maybe top 15 to be safe. He didn’t do some things last season. He did what was asked.
2. Can be a QB1. A no brainer for being picked at 13.
3. First round talent. 1 or maybe two ranked ahead of him this draft.
4. 2nd best Qb on his board.
And everyone knows Hondo is lying!
The thing I worry about is that in the second half of the 2023 season, the Raiders played against a few backup quarterbacks. 🤔

He will get his chance they are going to battle in out in Preseason who ever comes out with better performances even though it will be short; will get the starting 💪🏻🏉 the 3rd. Preseason game will tell all. . .in which they play just a Lil-bit 🤏🏻 longer.

I don’t really think there is much reason for me to believe in him just yet. He’s someone who’s just trying not to lose games rather than a player who can go out and win. Minshew is the guy who tries to ball out and leave it all out there. Now that is something that has caused him some losses in the past but I think he’s the better option. Somone who can extend plays and take risks. Rather than “live to see another down”
AOC is not the answer he showed that last season after McDaniels was gone... aoc missed ooen wr n missed plays an vs kc he could score after the 1st qtr

So let me guess… when DC was there pre McDaniels of course, offense was hitting all cylinders and even made the playoffs despite a crappy defense. Then they get rid of a top 10-15 QB in the entire planet only to go full circle and now have a a good Defense but No QB!?!?!? These are the days of our lives and how the world turns!
Don’t even try to use the DC excuse. He went to a “better” team with the Saints, lost the easiest division in the NFL and didn’t make the playoffs. DC is DC (and by that I means he is alright and nothing more).
@@joefla2507We'll see about that, now that He'll have protection up front, and no negative detractors on the team i.e. Winston and Thomas. He was putting it together at the end of the season, and now has a real offensive coordinator. Their draft was excellent, the 1st two rounds were who I wanted the Raiders to pick. Carr will be a top 15 QB this season, again.
Here is the truth.. we are tied with Denver with the weakest QB room in the AFC West. Call it what it is!!!

AOC is a backup QB at best why on earth do you think we are paying all that money to Minshew..??? Because the coaching staff knows AOC doesn't have what it takes to be a starter. It was the defense that carried this team during the second half of the season, while our offense faced 8 in the box because AOC's deep ball is horrible, he has no pocket awareness, and he has no mobility. Minshew is not much better this is why our QB room is the laughingstock of the NFL, and why we had no business getting rid of Carr until we got a better QB to replace him.
Maybe Menshew is insurance, since we haven't seen Aidan's ceiling yet. Just watch that last Bronco's game. I don't think he has reached his ceiling yet, but if that game was his ceiling, then it's damn good. As far as our QB room being a laughing stock, you are the only one that I've heard that from. Aidan is going to light it up this year.

AOC just doesn't have the fundamentals to be a starting quarterback in this league, and you don't make Minshew the highest paid backup QB in history for AOC smh. We need a QB that's why we tried to move up in the first round to get one. You don't do that if you believe in AOC, or Minshew. Just like last year we have settled for what we can get aka Jimmy G and we all know how that turned out.

Of course we know that Aidan is an unknown, he only played 9 games as a rookie. We needed someone that has some experience, just in case Aidan doesn't work out in his second year. We paid Minshew high pay, just in case he has to become the starter at some point.
@@Navigator001 facts, but I don't see AOC beating out Minshew for the starting job at QB, and I hope I'm wrong. I really hope AOC becomes what a few of us say he will all I want is what's best for the Raider Nation. But from what I saw from him last year I just don't see it, Minshew will be our starting quarterback.
@@BlackLionSupreme You are entitled to your opinion of course, and I'm not saying you are wrong, but AP said that Aidan is QB1 and that any other QB will have to beat him out. and he further said that Aidan deserved that. I really think that Aidan will be the starter but will be on a short leash, if he plays poorly in the first game, expect Minshew to start the second half.
Na I don't rookie or not AOC was awful last season n he doesn't have much upside by the time his rookie contract is up he'll be about 28yo n he still has a long way to go before he's considered an average starter

He outplayed the number one overall draft pick and the number four. His passer rating in his rookie season was higher than Jalen Hurts first two seasons.
@winstonsyme5899 that's not saying much Young looks to be a complete bust at this point, Hurts had to develop as a passer a lot coming into the league
Truth is AOC never flashed once that he can be that guy, his only good game was against a team that quit on their coach & where the defense had him starting in opposing territory the whole game that doesn't inspire much confidence

AOC didn't really do shit, ok he was poised yea you better be your 25 as a rookie, he's not mobile, zero pocket awareness, locks onto his receivers, doesn't understand down n distance he routinely threw low percentage passes on 3rd or 4th n short in coverage, didn't complete a pass for 3 quarters in a NFL game you know how hard it is to do that in today's NFL that's sad, never not once did we win cuz of him, he never consistently put up good drives he showed zero consistency, I'm not trying to be harsh but it's just facts man
