The Dark Engine BLADE IR will be awesome with this. Same power, but in a tiny package and no hot centre to the beam or diffusion artefacts at high mag that the IR used in the video exhibits.

Same, only thing I can say is perhaps youtube compression isn't helping.

With a centrefire zeroed at 200 meters the BC feature seems redundant. Great for 22 or air rifles but is the form of the scope suited to that application. It would be fantastic if they made 5x long range centre fire use.

I had my ds35 lrf on my 17hmr the other night and with it shooting flat throughout the lethal range the BC serves no purpose but the LRF is still handy to confirm distances of targets further out and also the edges of fields and trees etc

Onboard IR ?? That image was good especially when zoomed up.

Il be getting one but tbh it doesn’t look that clear
I had 2x pards ds35 what wouldn’t hold zero never again
Surely hik can compete with clarity with them ds35/Alpex

I'm thinking of buying one of these, or I was till I watched this video, to be honest I'm not that impressed. Is all this just salesman talk?

Hardly a great improvement on the older version. Don’t believe the hype.

That IR - on the face of it - did not work well with the Alpex LRF model. It looked all sparkles and water marks like some of the early lasers dud. Even my Mk1 Alpex is better than that with the 850nm IR it comes with from Hik. On throwing light longer ranges, you need to tighten the spot down and potentially use the new iris to reduce flare and increase depth of field. I would def try some other IR illuminators

What IR torch was used please ???

I'm with ya on that 1,nice footage from the new unit but would be nice to know how it was achieved by knowing what IR torch that was used as no IR torch comes with the 4K LRF at least that way we know what works well with the new unit.

Thanks for the video. Even at full magnification the image was pretty good. The Alpex LRF looks to be a very good scope. Especially for the money. Having said that, I still prefer a thermal scope for its ability to detect quarry. However, if your budget can’t extend to a thermal, the Alpex looks to be a very good choice.
